Well that entire movie is just non stop laughs.
Glad you're keeping your food down today Todd! Things could always get worse. I mean, what if you come across a killer rabbit?!?!?
Have to continue watching this now. Afterwards I have to go get a shrubbery.

Todd, Thank you so much again for your kind words for me. And whoever is willing to take you up on the offer to buy me a drum set, just let me know when you need the address. 😂
Seriously though, thank you very much. It's very touching.
Suddenly I'm thinking of that scene from the movie stripes, with Francis. 😂😂😂 So not touching in that way. I'm literally chuckling out loud right now. I'm guessing you probably know the scene.
Every time I see the snare bomb I'm blown away at the thought that went into every little piece of it. I think you are right about painting the new project the same scheme. I think you should do a whole kit like that! But that's easy for me to say, I'm not the one that would have to do all the work!
I have 3 Premier snares so I am a fan as well. I guess my best one is the Premier 2000 COA with cast hoops, 10 lugs and a parallel strainer. I also have a customized (I believe it was born a 1005) lhat the builder added a walnut veneer to the inside, and a matte black finish on the outside. Its an 8 lug with all gold hardware. The lugs are beautiful.
The last is a marching snare, 14x10 if i recall, with top and bottom snares. Its got a kevlar head. This is the snare that I plan to make my Snom.
I have a Pearl M80 as well! Love that thing!!! Pearl and Ludwig are my other favorite snares. At least at this point in my early drumming career. Got a 13" Black Picollo and a Steel Sensitone, which i really love too. When rhe hand heals up, well I have considered for a long time making an "all snare" kit to mess around with on a video. Hoping to obtain a 12" and 15" first, or maybe a deep 13" to really have some variety. Please send spare snare stands 🙏🏻
I was dying when you were talking about your wife's sell off plan, but it actually makes sense! 😂
I look at the roughly at this point, $10-12K worth of drums and cymbals and picture my wife taking a single picture of all of it and posting it on marketplace for $500 or best offer. 😂 My rack is worth more than that! You have quite a bit there in value so.... At first i laughed but then i didn't. I have thought of doing an inventory with estimated values.
Looks like you've been working on your ZZ Top drumming a little bit. Sounding good!
I also remember the Blizzard of 78 but we didn't get it like you guys did. I have a friend from Buffalo and he said they had to get out of the house from the upstairs bedroom window.
Enjoy your Sunday. Congrats in quitting smoking! I quit cold turkey 10 years ago but started smoking cigars 3 years ago. Last year I got pretty heavy. Now I am addicted to nicotine once again in my life! 🤬
But never going back to cigarettes. Skoal and a little vaping. Both bad. STILL better than cigarettes i feel though. Your lungs will start to heal themselves post cigarettes. Mine did dramatically.
Thanks for making my day brother.

Thanks for writing me the book. I appreciate Long comments like that. It’s nice to know that somewhere down the road I’ll strike a nerve with somebody. That’s the one thing I get out of this more than anything else is talking to other people videos are fun to do sometimesoften times they’re a pain in the arse but more often than not brilliant conversations come out of them and that’s what I really look forward to every week or so

And the more I think about it the more that drum set is going to come out in army green. I think about it a lot and one thing that was concerning me was the add-on 13 inch Tom which is Birch won’t match the rest of the kit if I just use the stain by covering it with Green it’ll still match

Hi Todd, Loved the demos on all your snares - fantastic collection.
I have a few, but from experience be careful of any with the Flobeam parallel snare mechanism as they wear and often you cannot get the wire tension, or they do not snap on or adjust easily - ie they can be a lot of hassle. try before you buy and check the mech if you can.
I would really recommend the 35 COA which is simalar / better to the LM400 Supra in sound.
    Also look out for the 14 x 4 piccolos - I have a 2034 brass - it’s a killer.
Thank you again - always enjoy your videos !!

Love the drumming intro, but I am saddened to hear your health issues. I love that snare bomb, and I still would love to see a whole set finished like Snare Bomb.
I guess I don’t have an ear to hear a big difference in most of your snares. I will say that they all sound great to me. With that being said, I am wondering why a drummer wants to have so many snare drums. That’s just me.
Anyway I’m hoping that you and all of your loved ones are doing well.🙏❤️🎄🎅👏

Going for a quick ride to Red Rock Outlook while Momma yells bloody terror at the football players. Oh, I remember ice storms in Connecticut in the 70's, where we ice skated on the sidewalks so Mr. ED is all to familiar with the cold. Heck, the ice rink is a mile up the road where we get a pop and pizza every few weeks. I go public skating still.

Tooth pain is thenworst pain. I had an abssess in my wisdom tooth many years ago. It got reak bad real quick. When i got ul and started moving, the bacteria would move through my system and id feel instantly ill. Eventually there was 2 or 3 days before they put me under and i was just bedridden. It stopped hurting, but i was just sick from it.

I am going to call Aspen dental tomorrow and see if they can do something about it. My wife clued me into a place that does stuff for veterans but they’re the ones that left me hanging with no appointments or anything so I’m going to go back and use Aspen which I should’ve done in the first place.

      @NintenDub ปีที่แล้ว

@@CheapDrumsGuy it doesn't hurt to try both again. Even the first place....sometimes you just gotta talk to someone different.when it comes to appointments and stuff on the phone, its all on that one person to hopefully set it all up right. There's times I've called back places and spoke to someone else whose usually nicer or knows more.its worth a shot, depending how urgent. But Aspen might be great too. And being a vet may help

@NintenDub Worked with a southern gentleman in the Carpenter's union who died from an absessed tooth, and It drove me. I was the union steward and noticed he started missing work. I tryed talking to him. He assured me the days off was not what I thought. ( fiddlefart 0:46 ing around). Word came to the job that he passed.😢 When I found out it was a tooth, and he was petrified in dental care.
I still feel the situation almost thirty years later. ( And my teeth stink...only 19 in there. I don't want dentures. Please get that tooth fixed Todd!

I watched this video the day you posted it, but I didn't use headphones or good speakers, so I couldn't hear much difference between any of the drums. Today, I watched it again with headphones. Many of them still sound quite similar (as could be expected considering the tuning) but that Genista sure sets itself apart from the others. I, personally, love a little ring out of a snare drum. I'd love to hear this drum highlighted, rim shots, cross stick, different tunings and muffling. I bet it has a killer range. They're all sounding good, though. Great work, Todd.
So, say you do go before your wife does.... Is she going to PLAY that snare? Will she keep a whole kit and pick up where you left off? Does she play now, at least a little? Or, even better maybe, does she accompany you with a little bass or guitar? Just curious. It's fun as heck to play with your partner!
Hella nice job not smoking!!!! Good for you and Michelle! Keep it up. (How silly would you feel going back to it after all this time?) You guys got this.
Oh yeah, I remember the blizzard of '78. I think we've talked about it before, the difference between a girl's life and a boy's. My brother shoveled. I stayed inside watching cartoons and listening to records. Really, at seven years old, even if I was a boy I don't think I'd be all that helpful against all that snow. Ugh! I hated it, even then. I'll take my rainy season in the tropics. And I'll keep my fingers crossed for a mild winter for all my friends and family in the Midwest.
    Aloha, Todd!

Always a pleasure my darling! I love that snare to bits- the Genista. I like it tuned lower but my new Premier will get a tighter head when the Attacks show up tomorrow. The Attacks are single ply. I've never cranked the Genista and should try tuning it higher and see what happens!
If I croak before she does, she'll never play it I'm afraid. It will sit and collect dust. She does her Pokémon thing and that's about it. I've tried to get her to come down but she passes. I might have her film me on a video to at least get her involved a little bit.
      Aloha to you as well!
