Hermes has got a special place in my heart.Terre ,parfum was my wedding day scent.I need to try more from this house.Your real,stay at it☺
I love to blend Vetiver to Basil and balsamic oils. (Chest and arms). They create one enchanting fresh forest meddle vibe. Then I use yuzu, coriander, black currant as a top scent (neck). I sense a magical dance between both of them. Its is lovely.
I much prefer Bel Ami Vetiver myself. But hey, if you work at the processing plant...nuts 2 you! 🤭 Appreciate the review Pep.
I absolutely love this fragrance but still enjoyed your review, especially the long day at the nut factory comment.
For me, this fragrance is all about the perfect balance of opposing elements to create a harmony much greater than the sum of its parts. Sour/sweet, resinous/fresh, sharp/creamy etc. So good! But in the fragrance community, there seem to be two camps: those who adore JCE's work, and those without taste. 😂

I have LeLabo Tonka, it's a nice nutty note, but a little boring, but a nice smell.
I think Hermes Terre de Hermes is one of the best designer frags. I have a bottle of Ambre Nargile, one of the first great gourmands.
I got samples directly from Hermes and I did get Vetiver Tonka along with Ambre Nargulie ,
plus two more .Hermes would let you get 4 . I know I don't have these anymore , for I haven't seen them in awhile .
I most likely gave them to a reviewer. Anyways , you mentioning the nut brought back a little memory ,
but that's about it. I don't own any from this line , but I do want the travel set .
I will contact Hermes again , and with the knowledge of Epice Marine and Cuir d"Ange ,
I'll ask again if I can get 4 samples sent to me.
Most likely they won't let me do that , but since they offer no samples , they might.
I used to get free samples from By Kilian , but they offer samples now.
Oh, just checked Hermes's site and the 4 travel set is now $176 , it's up from before hand, but not to much,
but if I remember correctly , the 4 travel set came in a nice little leather pouch.
Now it's a box. Oh well.
Also their stock price has gone parabolic . WTF .
Their selling prices for purses are like $25,000. Is that right ?
No, on their site they sell in a range from $5,000 to $10,000.
The $25,000 grand are for vintage I guess .
Boy when I go to estate sales , I'm going to the women's and look for handbags.
Hey, when you go to any thing like that , go to the kitchen , and open the utensil drawers .
If you see flatware , check . A lot of it will be plated , but if you turn the spoon over ,
you'll see wear , for the plating will be worn off , but if not , check a little closer.
If there is ever civil asset forfeiture , they'll never know.
Also , those older AOL games , if you have any of those in a box someplace ,
good for you.

When my daughter gave me a box of four fragrances to choose from, I chose this one, and it's one of my favorites... I was wondering what would be similar or close to Hermes Vitever Tonka... I was trying to buy four of travel size set but they only have three...Thank you!
Yes, it is quite polished ... and not my favourite Hermessènce. I guess I like my vetiver green and earthy 😉. Thanks for the review and have a lovely weekend!

Definitely. He has made some absolute masterpieces, but no one has 100% success rate.
It’s interesting that I like Epice Marine because it’s completely not the style I gravitate towards. I don’t love marine frags, but the bit of cumin gives it the right amount of funk. That said I haven’t gravitated towards many Elena fragrances in general. I haven’t tried nearly half of his catalogue, but I think it’s just a stylistic difference of taste for me as what I have smelled seem very well put together. -Chris

For the life of me, can’t understand why someone would spend $280US on such a “meh”...
For me, falls into the category of, “I can’t wait until this wears off, so I can move on to something better”
