Fell in love with this par the second it was leaked on IG and definitely fit my wardrobe aesthetic and fit very cohesively! Copped and got lucky off of the ALD raffle and can’t wait to get these in hand!

@@crodaas6086 Yep on ALDs website when the raffle opened before. I know there was another raffle for three colorways happening but im pretty sure that ended today .
Got my yellow/green in yesterday and un-DS’ed them this morning! First pair of 550’s and love them. I could see how heel slippage is an issue for some ppl, but when I laced them all the way up it was not an issue. But I stuck with my true size which I don’t half size down for any model being a wide 13. Good review!

Imo the best NBXALD pairs are the yellow green ones, then these, then the green ones
the nb 550 is now my fav silhouette. im absolutely addicted, buying the grey ALD, red ALD, the gr all white ones, the maroon ones and now the recent cream/green ALDs. I want all the GR ones 😂😂😂i have a problem thanks alot NB.

@@Channysupreme Yes, the ortholite insoles make them really comfy. They're kinda heavy and the midsole has thick rubber but they're pretty comfy, good for all day wear imo

I always thought it was a worm since the ALD apple logo is on the heel so they were just connecting how worms can be found in apples 😂

every 550 i have ages so well, the natural leather helps get it to a offwhite color
How is the fit in comparison to something like a 990v3 or the ALD 1300s? I'm a TTS 9.5 in mostly all new balances. 9.5 in the ALD 1300s was a bit too roomy & got some heel slippage, so half size down would've been perfect. 990v3 9.5 fits better than any 9.5 in any shoe. I don't have super wide feet, only slightly. Wide enough to need a 9.5, length wise a 9 would fit my toes but width requires a 9.5.

I am still waiting for my green/yellow ALD pair to ship. It is interesting that the red/navy resale is so much less than not only the green/yellow but all of last year’s ALD pairs (I only have GR non-ALD 550s), red or otherwise. I might have to order the red/navy.
I just bought the green ones on ebay.... accidentally bought the "confirmed" order instead of the in hand one though 😅

I agree, the quality on most Nikes is bad ! The craft and Air Force 1 Hamptons are constructed of good leather, as are the Union air Jordan 1s.

Imo half down or TTS both work. So it’s not going to be huge, it’s doable.

Sean, do you prefer this year’s pair vs the ones from last year? The upper looks a little different (perforated vs smooth). How do they compare? Thanks.

I think half down is better but slightly narrow but I’m hoping it breaks in
I would say half size up, i just got mine in i wear 10.5 in all new balance, got the blue rd in 10.5 and the yellow in 11… no way tts works for me. Sean do you reference your nike size as tts? Cause if thats the case then i go down to 10.5 for every other brand
My TTS Is whatever size my foot measures on the brannock device at shoe stores.
Hey Sean, have been watching your video since 2015. As I am planning to move to Canada soon and I am a huge new balance fan, I am wondering are MIU MIE New Balances easy to cop in cities like Toronto and Vancouver. Do they have discounts and promotions often? I roughly browse New Balance Canada website and I do find they dont have many models available. Where do you often cop your NBs??
It used to be easy but since a year ago or so it’s become tougher. 992 sell out but less hyped models kinda sit still. Solestop, Newbalance.ca, Capsule, etc sell em.
@@SeanGo I am good coz I got all the 992 I need (grey and navy). I am concerning the variety models in stores. Like im interested in 1700, 920 lately and I do wanna cop them later coz it is tough to move on sneaker collection all the way to CA.

As anyone gotten a shipping confirmation? I haven’t heard anything from ALD. Also, is the box as flimsy as the last pair?
The box is still flimsy. I am assuming that is also part of the package, using the retro box to go along with the retro shoes.
