    WITH HELP!
Driving through the mountains of Apayao, I was in trouble. I didn't know what to do, and didn't know if I could power on. But then I met this amazing Filipina...
This is an amazing adventure, and an amazing Filipina in the mountains of Apayao!

13:44 "would you like a banana?" even in just a simple thing, Filipinos can share their foods. My heart felt in a awe! Filipinos Hospitality is the best! Hit like if you are Filipino/Filipina

Bananas in our country are really abundant. You can almost find it everywhere especially in mountainous households. The Philippines is truly rich in natural resources, it is just sad that our country is being plundered all the time especially in the past administrations.

*I am in total awe of Filipino culture,* the way they show respect for family, friends, neighbors but most surprisingly how they treat us foreigners with loving care and open arms. We who are guests in their country could learn a lot about human kindness. *I married my Filipina over 50 years ago and she is still so cute.* We will visit again this April and are looking for volunteers to take supplies to orphanages.

Western culture has made us such misers ( save save save..."put away for a rainy day")and then, with all our material wealth, we "think" we're rich. These acts of kindness and sharing is true riches. We Filipinos are really kind and that's one thing I can be proud of, we really like to help each other and people who are in need. We help because we want to help not because we are expecting something in return. Sometimes most generous and kind people are living in the mountains and I experience that when I visited my friend there I'm also a Filipino but I'm not surprised of what they did to me they helped me without asking them to help.

I just wanna remind you of something I said before. One polite way to ask for someone's name in the Philippines is to give your name before asking for someone's name. Usually, people would also give you their names after you gave them yours so there is no need to ask for their names. In case the other person won't give his/her name after you gave yours, it would be polite to ask his/her name because you already gave your name first. This sort of politeness is especially very much applicable when you are talking to those who are older than you or to people who command respect. Don't worry, though. You would be easily forgiven if you commit a mistake because you are a foreigner. Filipinos do understand if you are not very knowledgeable about the customs of the land but if they know that you have lived in the Philippines for a very long time then they would not be very forgiving of your mistakes because more knowledge and know how would naturally be expected from you then. Keep up the great job.
