I believe the hearts of the Filipino's can be transformed about being more aware of plastic use. It's important to be educated about how to be responsible with using plastic, also having a volunteer community to pick up the trash so it doesn't go into the ocean. It begins with each individual and caring about the environment, their homeland. It's possible to transform plastic usage. Thank you!
Educating locals can do a lot/goes a long way. As Mike have said in an earlier vlog, if and when given the right choices and opportunities, people will opt for the better (more positive) one. Proper education is the key.
Another thing that didn't escaped my observation in this video was Mike's gesture. While loafing around with Kulas, they noticed a "kitten" coming out from the pipe. At first both Mike and Kulas didn't know what to do but for some unexpected move, Mike picked-up the kitten - wow - that impressed me! Mike presented us an unexpected side of him that we rarely see on camera. Obviously, he is a good man, gentle, caring and compassionate! He cradled the kitten, carried in his arms while navigating the area. He bumped into a person and mentioned about the kitten. Obviously, the man was not interested in the well being of the kitten but what surprised me most was Mike's next move. He potted a secure space for the cat instead of putting down into the walkway where the man pointed. People should be educated about the rule of cats in our society especially in the country side and rural areas. Cats are the "controller" of the ballooning population of "rats". Without the help of the "cats" the earth is swarm with rats. Rats bring disease, destroy farmlands and eat everything on their way. We should take care of "Cats" because they're helping us control the 10 fold population of "Rats". My utmost respect to you for what you did Mike! You give me reason to keep watching your vlogg. Good job!

Baduya ? It is tinudtod in Tagalog - that is how we call it in Oriental Mindoro. Crushed banana with flour and water..Salty egg and tomato are mixed together to lessen the salty taste. You cut the tomato and mix it with salty egg.

Capul island is captivating !! If you look closely where you found the kitten, it has a small house built by the kids. Thats why there was a carton hole carved in the sand. Sad thing is, the cat is blind in one other eye. The best place to put a cat like that is in a fish market. He has a good chance of surviving coz he can feed on raw fish leftovers. You did a good job.
Stray dogs and cats always come to our house, Kyle and Mike. We just feed them and protect them though they're not pets. Most Filipinos hate taking care of animals that are not their own. That's a fact, even our neighbors accused us that our "pets" are sometimes inside their fence. We just say, "It's not our pets but it doesn't mean we can't feed them. Hurting them is also a big no-no." Now, a variety of birds are building their nests on the ceiling of our balcony. We definitely are sometimes annoyed but compassion is one of God's gift of virtue.
