The worst part about the III Legions fall is that they were already perfect before they became lost in its pursuit. They were the only Legion granted permission, from The Emperor himself no less, to bear the Aquila on their armor. Fulgrim was literally so perfect in every way that the mere sight of him brought tears to the eyes and stirred desires of self improvement in men. Their own arrogance truly lead to the ruin of the Emperor's finest Legion.
Not only they ruined themselves but also turned they Primarch to gay

The ones devoted to a god specifically. The Emperors Children, World Eaters, Death Guard, and TSons. They each represent true devotion to the blackest ideas of the Galaxy

This story is so tragic. I'm a die hard emperors children fan and fulgrim is my favorite primarch. Hearing the tragic story told by a fallen brother of the emperors children was just heart rending. Having read the book and hearing his twisted rendition of it, then how he described fulgrim accepting the daemon like it was a good thing. Just so sad. Truly the emperors children could have been the greatest legion if only the emperor had warned them. If only they had known of chaos. Fulgrim would never have wielded the lair blade. A amazing story brother. You did us emperors children fans a amazing service with this video. Simply perfection.

It was such a masterfully written book. The most tragic part for me were the remembrancers and their absolutely wretched fall. Vile beyond belief. It really captured the sheer horror of what was going on and the gradual, casual acceptance of Slaaneshi corruption. It is also a tragic and poignant mirror into the way belief systems can warp and shape perceptions and allow humanity to inflict absolutely vile atrocities upon each other. Genuinely a book with some STRONG themes.

Hear me out, you should do a video on the traitor legion loyalists as they fell on Istvaan III. the Emperor's Children in particular had to kill off so many of their legion, nearly a full third if I remember correctly.

I cant tell you how many times Ive watched this video. You have somehow found a way to inject so much passion into this, especially with the narration and music. Even if someone knew nothing about 40k, you can literally feel the emotion, passion, narcissism and eventual corruption of the emperors children flowing through. It is truly a gift to be able to convey the essence of something through narration. Thank you Brother!

Ay yo, WT. That ending bro. The video itself was a great story telling and I was very much enjoying it, but the last 30 seconds made it a masterpiece. Nothing quite says a follower of Slaneesh better than that shit. You really caught the essence of that grimdark right there and I love the video for it. Fulgrim alongside Magnus the Red are truly the most tragic falls of all. Part their own faults , part through forces beyond their understanding (Mostly because Big E couldn't be a good dad for 5 seconds and warn his sons about the Chaos) part because of assholelry of some of their brother LEMAN RUSS. I hope one day we will get clonegrim and bring Magnus back as well. If not to Imperium then break him from Tzeench. They were among the kindest and most compassionate among the Primarchs.
Just imagine it, being an emperors child what a honor, the nobility, I would have gladly became one of them In a heartbeat, the sensations, the pleasure unbound, it sounds too good to be true honestly,
It's strange yet alluring, the power and tools of an Astartes along with the human sensations and desires.... knocked up to × 900,000.

Love the reference at the end to American Pyscho, it draws a nice comparison of how Patrick Bateman can only satiate his desires through the torment of others as do noise marines
I love how you told the tale of their fall from that Emperor's Children's viewpoint, and how much he twisted the story to fit his personal narrative and bias. Well done Wordsmith.
I have no sympathy for traitors and heretics, but their fall truly was tragic. They had the potential to be great
I kinda like to imagine this EC who is talking about this, does this every time hes about to kill someone with the Blade of Decadence. He would repeat the whole story from memory to his captive audience, his voice only changing when he nears the end and prepares to add another notch.
This was a fun story to listen to and look at the art. I must say, I would love to see more, and no doubt, would love to see one one day of one of my favorite Chaos chapters, the Word Bearers.
And yet Fulgrim remains a slave. A slave to his own lusts. A slave to chaos and slamesh. This is the lie of the enemy. This is how it works. Half truth with half lie.
Holy hell. That ending.

Dude was a petulant child even before Chaos.
He had a slight over-reaction to the news for sure. He even went on a rampage and killed an avatar of Khaine. Basically made a river of blood around a hilltop if I recall. His revenge for that diplomatic faux-pas was the virus bombings. All because the Eldar didn't like his demon possessed sword :D
To be fair, Fulgrim was already under the influence of the Laer blade when this happened. He was already down the road of corruption.
From this high rock, from this peak, let the light of worship shine so that the Emperor himself might see it from his Golden Throne.
As an EC player…I gotta say….this was perfection…for the Emperor…

It's 2 am and I restarted my pc to download this when I was just in my warm bed. I am only at min 5 and this is my favorite Emperor's Children video already. Even Fulgrim would approve.

The Sons of the Phoenix are the loyalist descendants of the Emperor's Children. Plus there is the uncorrupted clone of Fulgrim being kept by Trazyn which can be brought back at some point...
