    Another excellent video! I appreciate your support and kind words about Hot Racing parts. I also love the HR clutch in my Senton and my Typhon.

    I have my stock pads for now 4 years.sme factory ones😅. Hardly ever felt a dent. When they look too dark for me i just sanded them down or flipper them over🤣

    Thank You So Much Big B....I was waiting for your video update...I will say this....You are absolutely right!!!...the performance was better when I had the HR pads in the truck. Only thing I thought of was that I had the stock ones in for a year no real issue. I made the upgrade just to make the truck better, and after 1-2 runs it was performing so good that I decide to upgrade the Motor Mount (M2C) as well. That's when I seen all the dust in the housing and posted the issue to you knowing that you have been Beefing Up your K4S so I felt that you may have a great explanation for me...So Thank You So Much for your follow up vid on this topic. When I made the Upgrade I also purchased new hub set so it all went in brand new. I have since sanded down the pads where they are almost like new again, but I haven't put them back on yet was waiting on your feedback.

      Roger that... I put mine back in the way they were all knurled up. I've since noticed that the rear of the truck has way more grab, very little slip.( Which I don't like.) I've ordered another set of pads. Like I said I love the way she preformed with the aluminum pads. I'm gonna put some graphite powder on the hubs & pads b4 I run it next time and see if that helps cut down on the grinding. How do you like the M2C MOTOT MOUNT/BRACE? Thanks for watching

      @2morrowMuggins 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@IRONCLADRC so far so good with the M2C motor mount...It appears to be super durable with that brace. I put longer screws on the housing so I can secure them with lock nuts to strengthen it. You know the 3 scews that hold the plate in the housing.

    Watching this bc I upgraded my Typhon 3s to a 1900kv motor running 4s. The rear hub completely stripped out. Plus upgraded both diffs to the steel version.

    Do you have the hot racing yokes in the front? I have them on the rear on my plastic diff. And not in the front. The front makes awful noises and the rear sounds very happy

    Will the pads cause the center screw of the clutch to loosen on a 3s typhoon and do you think I need to put metal pads on it this is a ongoing problem that I haven't solved yet even with a new clutch it does the same thing and I have to reset the summer screw of the clutch it loosens up

    • @IRONCLADRC

      I e had good success with the hr pads but alot of guys would disagree.. I used graphite powder lube on my aluminum pads. I think that's what helps with mine.

      @@IRONCLADRC Try a little engine oil, the little holes in the hub are for cooling but could hold a little oil as well. Just get your fingertip wet and wipe it on. I use engine oil to lube everything from guns to hobby RC. It should allow slip but smooth it out with less galling of the metal. Just like wet clutch plates and auto transmissions lube their clutches and they don't slip! Well not supposed to lol. I lubed the slipper on my Abu Garcia bait casting reel and it works amazing!

      While a normal clutch features a springs and low-friction material used to absorb slipping and hard launches, a race clutch features ultra-grabby material that limit's the driver's ability to slip without overheating the disc.

    I wish you'd actually point out the plastic nut, how many turns to back off from the tight point.. :/ I was more interested in putting it together correctly than being told aluminium pads are better than pcb material.

    Not that it would matter because clearly you just beat the shit out of the thing but I put alittle lithium grease in on the slipper...metal on metal without any friction modifier is a recipe for eating up pinions
