I don’t think you get enough credit for the amount of patience you have, Cole. People are literally moving your body - often in a way that’s not really considerate to your specific injury - and you keep good strides with it, which is totally admirable!
It's beautiful to see a couple that met in trachic situation it's nice to see that people can overlook the disability because it could not be easy but you saw the man behind the wheel chair it shows love is more than phisical

Love this channel so much. My best friend sister is also a quadriplegic, and when we go out with new people they are always so cautious and treating her like it is some tabu and i think this videos help a lot "normalizing" these kind of disability (english is not my first language so i really dont know if you use disability or other word) and i think it is amazing so thank you

As a Healthcare Interior Designer and former healthcare worker in a neuro/ortho unit, I am completely optimistic about your future. Stay healthy! All the best.
Thank you so much for this video. I have worked for an airline for 20 years now. We are given minimal training on transfer assist. We are taught to ask how the best way is to help you but unfortunately we don't have a chance to practice transfers much. I will be showing some of this video to my agents so they can see your more personal view of the airport/airplane experience. Your perspective has also helped me to see how we may better assist those with mobility issues. So keep doing what you're doing. You are helping people everywhere!
Thanks for sharing your traveling challenges. This was really eye opening and moving forward, I will never complain about my uncomfortable travels. You both rock!

@@tiasky3438 Sooo dumb! This is why accessibility is good for EVERYONE it would just be so much better for the whole world if accessibility was considered in everyday things like this
Disabled or not, black or white, I am grateful to see that they take security seriously. None of us wants the wrong guys to take advantage of an easy access.
@@verabolton Yes of course but the point is they need to focus on accessibility. You are just wasting disabled people's time by searching them with tools that obviously don't work. It's already an ordeal to travel so many disabled people don't do it. Maybe if the whole travelling process was more accessible, including TSA, they would travel more. As for being black, systemic racism exists and they target people based on skin color. I just love your two. You are so free flowing with complimenting each other. So supportive, not only physically but emotionally and mentally towards each other.
I have recently found your channel and found it very interesting. I am a visually impaired guy dog users, and traveling can be very difficult. Although getting on the plane is not that difficult, going through TSA can be more difficult with a guy dog. Having to go through special lines to be able to go through the metal detector, some guy dog teams even have the TSA agents tell them they need to take their gear off of their dog. For me, the hardest part going through TSA was just people telling me what they needed me to do or not do. They keep pointing and saying over here, or over there.
Guys getting you off the plane did terrible you said numerous times you will fall over and you have no core strength. But y'all didn't let them bother you and that was good to see.

I have flown multiple times alone as a disabled person and a person with very medically complex needs. I require about two boxes of medical supplies per week away. The biggest I tell people before traveling is know your right and know how things are done and also disclose things at the beginning of interactions vs during or have them discover things. It makes the interactions way faster and easier. For example I travel with large amounts of liquids that I carry through and I also can’t not do the scanner at all.
