The jitter is only local, Vrchat already smooths your jittering for other players watching you. This is more for poeple who stream or record themselves and want to get rid of the jitters (locally).
Someone literally told me about this tracking smoothing today! Searched it up and your video was the first one I saw and uploaded today as well. Thank you for doing the step by step. Now I know how to use this thing. Major props, homie! Keep it up.
Thank you! I have been using FBT for a minute and noticed how other FBT users hasn't been jittery especially when they told me that they only had 3 trackers and 2 base stations and im over here like.....how....
It should be noted that the jittery-ness does not appear to other players in VRChat, it is-client side only. Your tracking points are smoothed out automatically when networked to other players by VRChat. This program is more ideal for people who are, for example, streaming or recording themselves dancing.
not really? I see peoples trackers jitter a lot when jumping and moving agressevly so idk where u got that info i for a fact know that this helps much better and its nice to have
@@20nik Respectfully, you are incorrect. I just uploaded a video to my channel to demonstrate this. I suspect VRChat auto smoothes all movements for network optimization purposes like other video games do (for example spamming your mouse movement around in an FPS game).

@@20nik It's not an issue with VRChat, it happens whether I'm in the game or not. It's if I open the SteamVR Dashboard with my controller, with this program installed and running. I'm not sure why because this worked a few days ago and I was using it for months.

I'm gonna try this with imu trackers to see if it smoothes it out :3 imu updates at roughly 50fps so maybe this can interpolate the data to make it appear smoother? Ilyk how it goes lol. The imu tracker software might already be hijacking the drivers and will not work, but it's worth a shot ^^
@Shitpost Central yw ^^ one thing to note, 100 fps mode, not a lot of metal around, set to mode 1 for standing, and having your Bluetooth in a 2.0 usb with an extension cable to bring it far away from electronics (I taped mine to my wall high up lol) makes it a tooon smoother.
@Shitpost Central my pc is on my desk against the wall, so my cord goes pretty much straight up from there ^^' probably unnecessary, but it can't hurt. Edit: pretty sure it's a 3fter from what I used for my HTC tracker dongles :]

Yee i figured
Still, its better to see yourself smoothly moving 😄
it will smooth it more only by a bit but still makes it even more smooth for other players
