Hi. Great video but you missed out the bit where you showed us what you did to the starter. Im needing to do the same on mine and the info about location is good but really wanted to see what was necessary to be cleaned etc to fix. Cheers. MrB
Having problems with my A2, sometime it starts but when warmed up you can drive for miles and then it won't start and you get the wiper slowly moving across the screen. I thought in was the battery or earth but changed both and it still persists, do you think it could be the starter motor or starter motor earth.
I have never heard of anything like that before, but I think you are right in checking the starter motor earth's, mine weren't too bad but there was slight corrosion on them which I sanded down off camera. You could try the Facebook a2 owners club forum, they are really helpful for issues like yours. Good luck
@@adamlawson8752 Yes I've ask on the owners club and the earth seems to be the most popular option. The problem is that the A2 has about six earths, the main one behind the headlight being the most likely. I have changed the battery, added additional earth cables. I left it with an auto spark who cleaned the main earth and it went perfect for a month before giving trouble so think I'll change the main earth and starter earth as the starter on the petrol A2 are harder to remove tan the diesel models.

You need to change title to starter motor fiddle with. I come looking for help and pointers but learned nothing. And when will you be adding power??
