Got this idea from Scott Eaton about 10 years ago. Another fantastic ref in the never-ending journey of anatomical study.

Such a cool technology. I just got my head scans today and seeing this made me laugh.

@@stonewhite3576 Yea I have a polyp in my right nasal cavity that is blocking off the airway. I've had it for the past couple years, but finally trying to get it taken care of. I finally got tired of being in pain constantly. Surgery is next week.

@Michael Pavlovich where did you specifically get these files? Having trouble finding the correct ones on the sites.

Same. Few mounts earlier i tried to find them. Most of scans super low res and 2d. Rearly you can find hi res but there is no officiant way to download (you need to download each slice 1 by 1 to get full scan) or store them (1 3d scan could weight about 70GB).

I can open my files in RadiANT, but cannot figure out how to show the cartilage where the ribs attach.

wow thats neat, thanks for sharing! Unless your in the medical field, such overkill as artistic ref for sculptors imo. Sketch people from observation, study the surface planes and study ecorches to understand the masses underneath, all god intended XDD

@@MichaelPavlovich haha sorry and thank you ! On second thought this is super useful. To see how each layer influences the surface is very cool

To be fair, just diving into something like these scans can absolutely be more confusing than clarifying. But I would say a good challenge is creating an ecorche model from scratch every once in a while to help "cement" those landmarks, forms, and volumes to reinforce the surface anatomy study. Do I do this? No. But be better than me!! And now that I say that, maybe we'll devote a few streams to just that, I think it'd be a fun refresher and talk about some ZB techniques too!

Ecorches can still be not detailed enough. A lot of anatomical references can be too schematic and misleading. Just look at those abs! This is enlightening!
