I have watched her since I was a child. My mother saw how much I adored her, and she would watch with me. Sometimes, after a joke, my mother would ask me: "Did you understand that?" Back in those days, we overheard worse eavesdropping on family conversations. I LOVE when she laughs her laugh and throws her head back. Amazing woman

Rosie often clashed with Joan Rivers Oprah loathed Joan Rivers. She never spoke to her again when Joan called out Oprah for being fat. in her stand up act. CHER was friends with Joan for a long time until the mid 90's. Joan attacked CHER one year for a dress she wore to the Academy awards. CHER called Rivers vulgar! The ou r friendship was over but when Joan died CHER spoke nicely about Joan and heir friendship.

Good stuff, if only because it showcased one of the greatest comics ever. And they did a fairly decent job of showing her respect and drawing out the important parts of her life. I don't watch the View, but does anyone notice that they ask OK questions, sometimes interesting ones, but then don't let the interviewee answer? Woulda been nice to hear Phyllis talk about her biggest bomb for example. All in all, though, a lovely tribute to a great, great woman.

Joan was crude and mean. Phillis was neither. To this day, just the thought of Phyllis or Lucy brings a big smile to my face. Lucille could keep such a pan face, curious as to what had just taken place, and Phyllis such a joyous smile and laugh, which made me laugh and love each all the more.
