Hi everyone. Hope you enjoy tonights video we enjoyed that day very much. The video we link to at the end called Haytor Rocks was from the Devon trip. It flopped so I am trying to work out why 🙂👍
It flopped because I didn’t get the thumbnail right. On my stats if people are still watching after 30 seconds they tend to stay till the end. If the thumbnail is not right then they never get that far 😁👍. I am trying to resurrect it. 👍
@@LifeistooshortCK personally I go more by written descriptions rather than thumbnails. But with your vids I'm subscribed so just click without thinking.
Thank you so much for making these videos for those of us who may never get to travel and see them in person. It is a wonderful, relaxing way for us to see all these beautiful places.
Well, i am still binge watching yiur videos 😀 just looked back at my history and i have watched so far 60 videos from this amazing couple Ken and Carol. I am French but liviing in Hampshire since 2000. (Not far from you) so watching your videos in France brings some warmth in my heart. Thank you both 🤩
Watching as usual quiet Sunday morning with a cuppa tea 🍵 👌 oh for some of that lovely weather ❤❤it's bloody freezing herein Lancashire 😮🥶🥶🤣🤣soooon be time to collect the new campervan & looking forward to Springtime 💯👌🎉
@@LifeistooshortCK Bacup eh 🤔not a million miles away from Bolton Ken ! Life is certainly interesting when ya look back sometimes & wonder how life would have been different!
@@LifeistooshortCK there isn't 2 parallel universe Ken so we will.all never know what the difference would have been! I was born in Wigan & parents bought house in Bolton very shortly after so I often wonder how things might have been different even though it's only about 10 miles apart 🤔
Hari Om your necklace is so pretty, Carol - perfect souvenir! My word, I think this is one of my all-time fave vids from you both - truly beautiful places and the history oozing off the screen. Loved it! YAM xx
You both look so comfortable in the new van - great choice. One word would be seem to be the simplest name. We will miss the little red van but looking at the extra room you have no brainer! Enjoy.
Ken and Carol, you might enjoy following French Country Life. A family from Belgium who bought an old farmhouse which they have spent past 5 years refurbishing. They live in Burgundy and Marloes, the wife spends a lot of time travelling through the region and showing places of interest. Its so well done and might interest you and Carol as a destination.😊
Another great video Carol & Ken. The architecture of those chateaus amazes me, such elaborate stone masonry. I too enjoy demolishing Almond Croissants! 🙂 The Mirage on the pole is a Dassault Mirage IIIRD. The Mirage III formed the mainstay of the French Air Force during the 1960s, it was capable of Mach 2(and some), a formidable aircraft for the time, over 1500 built and many sold (and some licence built) overseas. Great to see the Airbus A400Ms doing circuits at Châteaudun, it's a huge transport base. If your further south, maybe you could visit Savigny-lès-Beaune, it's in the heart of the Côte de Beaune wine region. There is a chateau there which is privately owned and it has a wonderful museum, with the following: history of wine, a fire engine collection, a a tractor collection, trust me these are interesting, a collection of over 250 motorcycles, a collection of Fiat Abarth racing cars (which the owner used to race), all housed within this wonderful chateau. Then outside a small collection of 80 aircraft including just about every model of Dassault Mystere which was another successful French aircraft. look forward to the next installment!
How come you know so much about the French jets Dave? I enjoyed those Airbuses, almost seemed like a gentle ballet as they came in. Sadly the trip was cut short as you will eventually see. Maybe next time 👍
@@LifeistooshortCK Long story short, misspent youth back in the 1970s chasing aircraft, with my mates. Some of those went on to become pilots and some served in the Forces. Most fly, I don't, but go as passenger in their own aircraft, hence go to a lot of places. When i don't fly I travel in our caravan to events all over UK & Europe. Luckily wife is ex Airline and understands my hobby, hence we can mix aircraft with tourism.
Sounds a brilliant arrangement to me. I tried a trial fixed wing lesson once. Shoreham, local flight with a rather anxious instructor fretting about an aircraft doing aerobatics nearby. I understood why he was fretting but it put me off for life 😁👍. Went back to just home simulators. Cheaper too 👍
We enjoyed Haytor Rocks first time around. A very kind and helpful friend once told us about the importance of a good thumbnail 😉. Chartre cathedral looked beautiful. The heron was very tame. They are normally very shy. Supper looked good and what a fabulous view for your park up. Gorgeous architecture and a lovely way to spend an afternoon. Those rooms were so creepy! The caves were beautiful if expensive. Liked the burgers and veggies. 👍😊
Toasted baguette with Lemon Curd!!!!!!!!!! Looked Absolutely DEEEEELISH! It was beautiful there; what a thrill to see Middle-ages construction.....can't find that in Washington State
Wow you got a lot done there. That castle was spooky! It’s surreal watch you sweating in 41 degrees, and I’m sitting in my camper at -8! It’s not problem free either! Things jam shut, iced up, after heavy rain everything being wet has frozen solid!have a lovely weekend! ❤
Another beautifully crafted video, thank you. I loved the castle, and would have been just as spooked in the dungeons. I would have bought the Snoopy for my campervan if I'd been in Chartres, not sure if we would have been able to use the amazing underground car park as we're 2.04m. Your home made (or van made) mixed vegetables look amazing, will definitely try this with vege burgers/sausages on our next trip. I hope the fridge coped in the 41degrees heat. A lovely relaxing video, thanks again. ❤️🚐🌼
Sacré bleu, where is everyone? Such a lovely quiet walkabout and lots of nice food. I loved the Castle the most of all, so nice to see such old rooms and artefacts merci beaucoup pour la vidéo 🏰❤

That was last summer. We have a lot of wind, rain and floods in the UK now. Hope the snow does not get too bad. I see Norway are struggling with snow at the moment.

Hi Carol and Ken. Just wanted to say a BIG THANK YOU for your videos. I don’t understand why people would unsubscribe to your channel because you put out short videos or videos from the UK. Whatever your content is, we watch it because of you two and your lovely gentle honest personalities as much as the places you visit. Whether you stay in your van, travel in your car or stay in an Airbnb. Your film, editing and perfect music accompaniments is top notch. If I could just make one request please.
