- Jen is dying and she leaves a final message for her daughter.
From Season 6 Episode 24, 'Must Come To An End'. Five years have passed and everyone is reunited in Capeside for a special wedding. Jen is now a single mother and is dying from a terminal heart condition. Dawson helps Jen make a video for her daughter in which she tells her to never stop loving and dreaming. Jen also tells Joey that her last wish is for her to end the chasing and running and to finally pick between Pacey and Dawson.

This never fails to make me cry. I had a feeling that one of the main characters would not make it to the end, but it feels even more unfair for Jen, who never got a break and always seemed to be on the losing end of things.

Such a beautiful yet heartbreaking last message for Amy from her mother. It was good Jen left behind something of her so her daughter could hold onto for wisdom and comfort from her mom.
I am legitimately pissed that she gets killed off, but it was also what made the finale so great and the lyrics to “I don’t wanna wait for my life to be over” make sense.
The thing is that they prepared us the whole season for the death of her grandma to "surprise" us with the death of Jen. I think it was awful.
Oh, it was her Grandmother lol. Makes sense.
This is one of the most beautiful things i've ever seen. I never understand when people say bad things these teen shows from the late 90s and early 2000s,i mean,yeah,sometimes they were cringe,or very dramatic or even unrealistic...but just watch this scene,the heart in it,the writing and the acting...i'd take the cringe,the dramatic and the unrealistic any day if we'd return to have these shows that were so pure and so well-written and portraited...i feel like today we lack in this simplicity that just hits you,i miss this...

Michelle Williams was always a brilliant actress, but this scene really showed off her dramatic chops, so it's no surprise that she later became an Oscar nominated actress. Bonus points for Sarah McLachlan's haunting "Angel" playing in the background.
Jen was my favorite character and im so sad they let her die :/ her life was so sad and never found real love. I couldn’t stop crying when i saw this scene

Jen went through so much and her dying was the most heartbreaking thing to ever happened when she told Jack she was dying I started to cry 😢 and telling her daughter through the camera is so heartbreaking to i am so happy and proud of Jennifer she changed for the better best character development Rest In Peace Jennifer Lindley Michelle is a incredible actress.
Ikr, she deserved so much better. Her daughter is gonna be okay, she still has Grams, Jack and the others! 🙏🏾♥️
I've seen every episode of Dawson's Creek probably 5 times. I'm a grown man and this makes me cry.

jen found that love in henry to the tips of your fingers at least that is what henry always tried to show her, i always envisioned a teary eyed henry over jens bed, but that character never returned to any more episodes, i also envioned henry getting a daughter and naming her jen
Having had this on DVD for so many years now and wept over this freakin scene so many damn times I can’t believe I’ve just now noticed this…The fade over of Dawson’s face onto Jen’s when she talks about her daughter and finding true love! Which leads me to believe that Dawson and Jen were supposed to end up together like Joey and Pacey. I feel like that’s why they ended with both of them being single with that idea in mind of them being unrequited soulmates 😭💖
No one can touch what Michelle Williams does and she makes every character so fully rounded and with complex motives and emotions/desires. 👏🙌
This is a very touching moment in this series bc it really touched my heart and in this show it took a beautiful soul but I know she is not dead just in the show . I am happy that she wrote this message for her daughter in the show bc it shows how much her life was and how much she loved her daughter .

I just started this on s2 and I know I spoiled it for myself but god i can’t enjoy this knowing that Jen dies. i didn’t even really like her that much but sheesh I hate how they did her so dirty, such a beautiful character and actor she really deserved better.
I listen to this probably 5 or 6 times since this episode and i was a teenager.Very touching and emotional.

I hated Jen + Joey’s rivalry, the episode when they went to new york together showed they could really be friends in my opinion.
@@gigibonet3412 Dude I agree so much. The writers were so annoying with the whole rivalry thing between them for like the entire show. Joey constantly had problems with Jen and treated her wrong, but in the NY episode when Joey said “Jen, why do I feel like I’ll never see you again?” I legit cried because it really showed she cared
@@taverasstuart3618 Totally! like the show acted like people could never be just friends unless one of them is gay of course. I know that they probs wouldn’t have been friends in the beginning cause of dawson but when they both moved on they should have become friends, so true about the ny episode, one of my favs.

Joey and Jen were rivals who became friends. They were basically the reverse mirror to Dawson and Pacey who were friends and then became rivals.
HE should have ended up with JEN and Joey killed off sorry but that’s what I think - Joey annoyed me LOL

Pacey and Dawson cried. Joey was also visibly upset. They weren’t good friends to her for most of the series but they did care and love her. It’s very obvious in these last 2 episodes
