11:47 ish... My Brother is a Trucker. He has driven loads for Govt. Just contacted out of the blue to take a trailer to underground area. Yes there were black SUVs ahead and behind. No idea what is in the trailer. He gets to the facility, govt drivers take the load inside while brother waited in a very comfy lounge. Of course he is retired now, but they did say "you see nothing, you know nothing. Here is an envelope of cash. Leave." So common trucks do haul odd govt stuff. Hush hush.

I live in NYC. I work 2nd shift and live in an industrial area. I’m a small woman and very nervous because I’m riding the subway at midnight and then have a 20 minute walk home from the station. It’s isolated and has a high crime rate. I saw a delivery bay across the street had its door up and there was a big rig outside. I assumed it was a later than normal delivery until I got closer. There were US soldiers in khaki camouflage unloading large rectangular crates. I hustled past them and saw 2 normal box trucks (kinda old with some graffiti) in front of the big rig, with more crates like that. I made eye contact with one soldier and my heart beat sideways.
I kept walking as normally as I could, praying they would just let me be. Thankfully they did, but I think about that every time I pass that block. It’s some nondescript factory type building. That whole block is, on both sides. None have names. A few have the address painted on the door. That’s it. Makes me wonder if the whole block is being used by the military.

My friend worked for CN rail here in Canada, he said they had to clear the body parts off of the train before they went through towns. He said that in the winter animals would walk along the tracks due to the cleared snow, but when the train came they would just run down the track to try and get away. He said sometimes they would come around a corner and there would be 30+ Elk and they would have no chance of stopping and mow them all down.

I've got another explanation for the floating palm branch. A piece of string, fishing line or cordage of some kind got blown around by winds and got tangled in the thorns that are on the sides of the palm branches. This problem can be resolved by investing in better fencing/netting, etc. to keep animals (and people) off the tracks and noisemaking devices set near problematic locations (such as ponds or field near the tracks) which are activated by sensors when a train approaches. Since these collisions don’t damage the trains, the railroad executives aren’t going to spend money on preventing them unless forced to do so.

@@jht1122You have no concept of how un-renewable wind produced energy is. Once you place a wind turbine on a piece of land, that is about the only thing that will be there for generations. Same with solar. It will not be farmable and will have an environmentally unfriendly eyesore on it. It will also produce less energy than it took to fabricate, install, and maintain it. Only someone with the mind of a child doing a science project would consider a wind turbine a viable solution to energy needs. The palm leaf floating probably has a very simple explanation. I would venture a guess as someone probably got a kite stuck in the tree and the string got left when they couldn't untangle the kite. They shed their fronds regularly and it most likely got tangled on the kite string and the wind is blowing hard enough to have it fly horizontally.

That's one of the unpublicized facts about wind turbines--it takes a lot of oil, i.e. petroleum product to keep one of those things running.

  • @Huzzunga
    @Huzzunga 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

As for the wind turbine, the blade was on fire not the gearbox nor the transformer. Might as well have said there was a propane tank in the tower to provide heat for who knows what. No oil runs out to the blade tip. No reason to do so. And if fluid did run out to a blade the centrifugal force would increase substantially due to the weight of the non involved oil never in the blade causing the out of balance to tear itself apart

I don't get the wind turbine video. If the lightning struck the tip of the blade what does the oil in the gearbox and transformer at ground level have to do with the colour of the smoke.
I would have thought it would burn black like that because of fibreglass.

What's the scariest natural disaster that a person can witness?
I live in south Louisiana and I've seen some really bad Hurricanes in my 48yrs.
I seen water spouts that look cool.
I have seen very weak tornados and I'm scared to know that the ones I've seen aren't nothing to the F-5s that hit Oklahoma, Kansas, Texas and so on.
I have seen footage of Earthquakes that literally shake the world.
I have seen footage of volcanos that could kill anyone near them.
The one natural disaster that I fear the most? Ita a freaking wall of water coming at me called a Tsunami or like I said when I was a kid, a Tidal Wave.
In 2004 the world learned real quick we are nothing. 12/26/04. This day made me question God. 250,000 people died that day. Then in Japan. I know there have been way more disasters that I haven't brought up. But this is why I fear the powerful Tsunami.

For the dumbasses in the comments: YES, windmills like that one require some motor oil to run properly. But they require LESS OIL than the equivalent of the amount of energy they produce.
So the oil they use up goes towards producing more energy than oil used in the traditional way would.
    It’s not a perfect system.
