From a fellow G8 owner... good job! Real curious to see how your 1/4 turns out. I just finished the standing mile and need to beef up the rear end before I try the 1/4 with a similar setup to yours. pretty sure it would last a few passes before it broke.
I just picked up a 08 g8 , not sure if I'm gonna sell it yet since I hsve 2 ws6 trans sm convertibles one ls3 1200hp twin turbo other ls3 im building now. Reason im thinking about selling the g8 is the weight, 4k pnds and im not sure I like the 6l80e, all my other cars I did a jakes performance 4l80e stage 4 with a d3 transbrake, I love the looks of the g8 but the other thing I don't like is the carrier bearing and the crappy gear ratio, and the crazy power steering lines, which im replacing now, just did long tubes and duals out the rear but kept the big heavy mufflers till I decide if im gonna keep it, I also put 20 inch camaro rims with 245 35 20 up front and 275 30 20 in rear michelin pilot sports. Huge difference in appearance, another issue with car is i like my pioneer android auto navigation radios but it won't work in this car with the stupid hvac, I just made a cable and put in a navigation radio but still sucks. That's the take on my g8 ,the things I hate but if I keep it im only doing a dod delete and stage 2 tx speed cam and camaro gears and keep it for a cruise car , my 02 ws6 convertible twin turbo is a better car in my opinion and I've been wanting a g8 over a gto for awhile but I just wish the few things I hate were easier fixes, I guess the radio is a start to weight reduction lol, but nice car bud its to bad I can't post pics of my builds on here in comments
Very interesting! So the radio there’s a few kits out there that will let you do a touch screen , look at g8 only. But as far as weight goes, I think it makes a good 4 door street car, takes a lot work the make a race car lol. Even a fast 4 door daily that’s how I view them. Gen 4 rods. You’ll be alright. I see there’s 2 schools of thought here. People worried about baby boost on their SBE’s then the junkyard dogs who open up ring gap, slap a S480 on it and try to make 900whp lol good fuel (e85) and it’ll live as long as you maintain it.. going harrop 2650i w/ZL1 lid on my PPV as soon as I feel like getting around to doing the DOD delete and blower cam swap

Great build, I ordered my BoostDistrict kit this past week for my G8. Now for the wait. Besides the LSA kit, stall, injectors, fuel setup, coolant tank. Is there any thing else that you needed for the build?
Depending on your year you need a different water pump for cause of the brackets holes. Other then that it’s just little stuff. You plan on doing ice tank ?
I bought an LSA kit from R&D. DOD delete. BTR stage 3 PDS cam. About to buy a ZL1 converter today and possibly the fuel setup today too. Same fuel setup you have. I’m curious how the ZL1 converter will work with a stage 3 cam.
By 6speed I mean making stick shift from auto to Manual I’m asking cuz a friend of mine also added a lsa supercharger and his g8 was automatic and he decided to make it stick shift as well

If you’re sticking with 19’s it’s close to rubbing but a 19x8.5 or 9 in the rear on a +35 offset still stays flush same for the front.
