    Dern is a true example of dedication and commitment to the job bro, I watched him in a 1968 western movie called Will Penny, he must be 30~ by that time. Then 47 years later, 47 YEARS later, he's on screen in some other western from none other than a Tarantino film. If you're struggling with something in your life, just think of this. God bless you Mr Dern

      I don’t think inglorious bastards was one of the “best Tarantino movies”. You would rate inglorious over films like reservoir dogs? Or kill bill? Inglorious bastards and Jackie brown where the least strong of all the entires, I love all Tarantino movies, but inglorious bastards is NOT one of Tarantino’s better works. The actors do a great job, especially the characters Hans Landa, who is perfectly played by christoph waltz and is one of Tarantino’s best characters. That being said, most of Tarantino’s other films somewhat blow inglorious bastards out of the water. Just because it says “Tarantino” in the credits doesn’t instantly make it good. Again, I find all of his films to be “good” but some are really good and others are straight up mediocre. If it wasn’t for christoph waltz’s performance, the movie would’ve been relatively forgettable

    A lot of coincidental "I know you" moments in this movie.
    Ruth knows Samuel L Jackson (can't remember his name)
    Ruth knows Manny, and Manny knows both Ruth and SamLJackson
    Manny knows the old General.
    SamLJackson killed General's son
    BUT NOBODY KNOWS WANTED GANG OF CRIMINALS XDDDD
    Two bounty hunters AND the new sheriff don't know all 3 criminals who are part of THE SAME gang as Ruth's prisoner.

    • @keeganwatts1199
      @keeganwatts1199 3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      i think it has to have a connection with the military and the justice system itself. Having a gang from Mexico come to Wyoming shows new faces. You may know the names just because it’s a well known gang, but if they truly are as covert as they play as, i feel like it’d be difficult to put a name to a face. Of course generals, majors, and captains will know eachother because like the movie explains, they shared a battlefield. And to explain how John Ruth knows the Major, it was abnormal to see a black man as a bounty hunter, especially crossing from the South all the way to Wyoming.

      I know this is a whole year later, but the earlier part of the movie established the lack of knowledge of the woman initially. It was only in the end when their actual names were dropped did they recognized who they were. Which means two things essentially they alter their apperances frequently and tales of their infamy is the only thing any of the characters in this show would have any knowledge of. Even John Ruth didnt recognize Grouch and Marco the Mexican. Cant remeber the English guys title.

    Was Warren's story about general's son real or was he merely making it up? Well, this story is partially true. It is too obvious that he knew general's son, as he knew his full name (Chester Charles Smithers). However, it is very likely that he greatly embellished this story in order to provoke Smithers. It is quite possible that, after discovering the idenity of general's son, Warren simply killed him instantly or shot him several times in order to make him suffer before ending his life. Or, if he forced him to walk naked for 2 hours, it is possible that he either finished him off or left him to freeze to his death.

      I think that's why the film shows the Lincoln letter is a fake, Warren is a clever man that can manipulate the situation to his advantage, when Mannix and Oswaldo point out he'll get a hanging if he threatens the General again, Warren spins a yarn that is sure to get the prideful old man to reach for the pistol. Warren must have at least known of Charles Smithers (his name, black hair etc.) or may have killed him (defence against bounty hunters) and identified him after, or heard he was dead and used it since no one else was from the area.

      +Bluemgwes The moment where he has that little monologue when there is just him, Warren and Domergue left is so badass:
      Domergue: "My brother leads an army..."
      Mannex: "Horseshit! My FATHER lead an ARMY of 400 men, fighting for lost cause, held together with nothing but their RESPECT for his leadership! Your brother lead nothing but a gang of KILLERS!"
      The fact that Warren was smiling on the background looking at Mannex as if he finally accepts that men in the south might have also been fighting for something more than just keeping black people in chains is just amazing. And the fact that they stitch up the wounds of the war in the final minutes and act like friends is fucking beautiful...
