Thanks deep snow is great more snow is more fun, pushing snow for some people is work but for me it is great gets me outside and my dog Ben loves it even more than me.
Goes to show that you don't need the biggest and the newest quad to do some serious work. Great job and great video. I also love how your friend is enjoying time with daddy. So cute.
@SeanGavin-on9jj I have plowed with a few machines and yes I prefer the Yamaha. I find it better all around in snow than my Polaris, and have also tried a Honda which had gears and would loose momentum when changing gears.
Yes I do have a bulldozer, and a few excavators I just prefer to use a quad. It fits into tight spots way less fuel and maintenance and more fun. I have used the dozer a few times but mostly in winter too pull neighbors out when stuck
ATV plows are nice for about the first month or so, but then the snow gets too deep and you can't move it with a little ATV anymore. Then you have to switch to the truck plow. I just got rid of the ATV which got to be just an added expense and now do it all with my homemade truck plow.
We got a record 125" last season in northeast WI. I used an 400CC Suzuki Eiger (King Quad) the whole time. The key is to push it off far in the beginning because you can't push those piles once they thaw and freeze. I managed through that so I know I'm good for the rest of my life here haha
@strategic7779 I do not but there are others on TH-cam that do. Getting it done north of 7 is a good channel with eiger plow content. He's partly why I bought my set up
I bought myself a 2002 Kodiak 4x4 for my 50th birthday last March. It came with what I think is a Denali plow but I’ve not had a chance to use it yet. I’m hoping results for half as good as what you’re getting! The quad is a little more beat up than I’d hoped but they are tough so hopefully it’ll hold up for me. We have basically a two-track private road and gravel/sand driveways so I don’t know what to expect as far as the plow getting hung up etc. We have a mammoth snowblower but have issues with exactly what you said - if the snow is too heavy the snowblower wont’ do it. And the point of the snowblower is for us old ladies not to be trying to lift and throw it either, so for times we REALLY need the snowblower to work, it doesn’t. What camera are you using while on the quad? It’s pretty stable footage. I’m hoping to add some wood-gathering footage to my wood turning videos and bought an Asaku Brave LE 7, which has 6-axis image stabilization but is definitely not the same quality as the GoPros, but those are too expensive if it turns out I don’t use it much.
The quad should work fine for you it might just take a bit to get used to but we all have to start somewhere. I used to get stuck every once in a while, and now never as for the camera. Yes, it is just an old go pro 7, which I really should upgrade .I just keep putting it off. Thanks for the comment, Lisa.
Yes it is faster and easier when I am able to stay on top of it, but sometimes I just wake up to it and other times I am out and come home to it. Coming home to it is the worst as I have to walk up the driveway to get to the quad.
Yes, I do have a bulldozer but prefer the quad way less fuel and maintenance fits into tight spots and much more fun as winter time the quad keeps me outdoors a little more. Thanks for the comment.
It's actually a aftermarket seat my wife used to sit in but now it is Ben's the dog he just loves it .Be careful your dog might never want to come off once you get him on a few times.
Maybe purchase in a ten dollar tarp to protect your investment a little bit. I had a Polaris 350L 4 wheeler w/ a plow and I was amazed at times how much snow that thing could push. It didn’t like the wet heavy crap but it would push it reluctantly. 😂
Yes it definitely would. Maybe I could build a shed for it next year ,the plan was to build a shop but right now, it's just too much money. You know those new world prices
All that stuff you have all over the place you can't get a beater truck and just use it for plowing? no insurance or registration. Just use it for plowing.
People comment that I should use a loader or a snowblower or a truck, and I don't understand what the advantage would be .out of the four neibors I have three have trucks and I have pulled them all out. I do have a bulldozer as well but I believe that there are many reasons a quad is better. Can you tell me why you would use a truck.
Yes I do get a little carried away with the editing, and when I edit it is on a little screen so I do notice sometimes after I transfer the video to a larger screen it is a bit much. Thanks for your input.
Could you please send me a link to your plowing videos as I have only been plowing plowing for just over 20 years, and you seem to be an expert or just a complete looser which one is it
All snow plowing videos need to be this long and detailed like this one. Super awesome video! 10/10 !!
Thanks deep snow is great more snow is more fun, pushing snow for some people is work but for me it is great gets me outside and my dog Ben loves it even more than me.
This is the best ATV plowing video on youtube.
Right on Thanks Christopher I think this is the best comment I have ever had. 😀
Goes to show that you don't need the biggest and the newest quad to do some serious work. Great job and great video. I also love how your friend is enjoying time with daddy. So cute.
Thanks Jimmy you are absolutely correct we use what we have and make it work, and yes, Ben just loves helping me push snow.
I've found Yamaha products to be very reliable. Never plowed with one I may have a go this season great video thanks for sharing

That 🐕 dog is having fun riding
He just loves it he will spend hours on it even after I park it.
Who needs a skid steer, you working that pint sized Atv good
Thanks, John boy. Best comment all day long
I had the bruin for many years. Did a good job plowing. Many times stuck. Got me a new grizzly and much easier. Enjoyed your video.
Thanks, yes I think Yamaha is a good choice as I also have a Polaris, and the Yamaha is so much better for reliability.
That’s a great dog. Lol. Just loving the ride. ❤
Yes Ben is my best friend only problem with him is trying to get him off the quad or out of the boat after fishing, not too difficult if I catch fish.
You helped me decided to buy a simple quad and not to get back in debt my driveway it’s not as long as yours so thanks for sharing your video 😊😊
Thanks for watching, yes my little quad does just fine about to start year 17 with it .
That was a loooot of snow ! Almost like diving in snow with the ATV ! Very cool !
Yes, it was fun while it lasted now it is mostly mud most likely for the next month or two.
@@liveworkplaywilderness1877 starting to melt here as well...
Awesome plow videos here. Hard to believe your channel is
@anthonyg6221 Right on thanks Anthony I'll be playing in the snow again soon but first a little firewood

Somebody who knows how to plow. Nice!
Thanks I did used to get stuck and my lasyness made me get better.
How to plow?
awesome. thanks for showing
Thanks, I am hoping for a huge dump for an extremely deep plowing video
Wow! You are soon running out of space to put that snow!
Almost but it is melting now just in time now we have mud.
I usually plow every 4 inches instead of waiting until it reaches 1 foot
Most of the time, when I am plowing deep snow, it happens overnight
Nice place! Cowboy with dog, cool!!!! Hi from estonia👌✌️
Wow I had to Google Estonia. You are a long way from here
@@liveworkplaywilderness1877 right man, but i have tomugh snow to! 😂. I like atv snow plow🙉
That is funny when I googled where you live the first thing I thought about was you must get a lot of snow there.
@@liveworkplaywilderness1877 😂😂😂
@@liveworkplaywilderness1877 you live in USA or Canada?
Enjoyed your video 👍
Thanks, I had fun making that one love the deep snow.
You are having to much fun.
Yesthere is something satisfying about pushing snow, and it does get me out of the house in the winter. Thanks for watching.
You have more snow than we got here now
Yes, it is now melting very quickly
Love the 🐕
Thanks Jim yes he is one cool dude, just love's plowing snow.

I believe it depends we're ya live and if it's powder or wet snow/ice

Here for the dog. 👍
Yes I think more people are watching for Ben, and I'm pretty sure he knows it
Great video. I’d have angled the plow more.
That is something I haven't tried, I just came in from plowing, I will try next time I plow. Thanks for the comment.
Is better to plow with the storm if at al possible rather then plowing grand total snow
Yes it is faster and easier when I am able to stay on top of it, but sometimes I just wake up to it and other times I am out and come home to it. Coming home to it is the worst as I have to walk up the driveway to get to the quad.
Very nice video :) With that amount of snow did you consider getting a small bulldozer? Thank you
Yes, I do have a bulldozer but prefer the quad way less fuel and maintenance fits into tight spots and much more fun as winter time the quad keeps me outdoors a little more. Thanks for the comment.

Yes one advantage of a small machine
its fun !!
What do you have on the back rack for your dog to sit on? Mine just chases me around and i think he would love a ride.
It's actually a aftermarket seat my wife used to sit in but now it is Ben's the dog he just loves it .Be careful your dog might never want to come off once you get him on a few times.

Yes I actually should build a shelter the main thing is it never has a chance to dry as I use it so much during the winter.
Too bad you can't park the old girl out of the weather. It might help keep the solenoid from freezing up.
Yes it definitely would. Maybe I could build a shed for it next year ,the plan was to build a shop but right now, it's just too much money. You know those new world prices
What does it say about anyone who watches snow-plowing videos for entertainment?
I know right, that is almost as bad as someone who plows snow for entertainment, which I quite often find myself doing.
Great if it’s fluffy - not so good if it’s ice
Hi.
Why do you use hearing protection when shoveling snow and riding a quad bike?
Mostly just to keep my ears warm as it is usually quite cold, and I have them all over the place, so they are just handy
@@liveworkplaywilderness1877 ok Thanks for the information :)
I would be finding a good used skid loader

Too much editing of the camera perspective! It makes me a bit dizzy. Just leave the footage without any cropping, it will look great.

@@liveworkplaywilderness1877 I use a 32 inch monitor so it could be the reason.
