Moved to the mountains in British Columbia Canada where we LIVE WORK PLAY WILDERNESS . Recently we have obtained another property further into the wilderness way off grid . We are building a road in for that we had to purchase a Hitachi 35Uminiexcavator. We will be doing many projects including solarpower, building a dock, shower house, renovating the old cabin and running gravity fed water from a

I've found Yamaha products to be very reliable. Never plowed with one I may have a go this season great video thanks for sharing
@SeanGavin-on9jj I have plowed with a few machines and yes I prefer the Yamaha. I find it better all around in snow than my Polaris, and have also tried a Honda which had gears and would loose momentum when changing gears.
Thank you for sharing ! Reminds me i need to cut some small pieces as well :P Damnit, only did big stuff :P
It gets colder there than here, doesn't it, I'm not sure?
@@liveworkplaywilderness1877 we had freezing temperatures this morning, it was crazy warn on Halloween, but since then, colder.
@alexandreblanc2842 guess right now we are pretty close to the same.
Nice car man one question would u recommend upgrading from model 3 to y?
Good question the Y would most likely be better for where I live, winter driving as sometimes the snow comes right over the hood and blocks vision. The Y also has more room and is easier to get in and out of, but I do like the handling and the looks of the 3 a little better. But in all honesty, I think I still don't know. Might just have to go with the S next time.
I wandered off 18 years ago and a cougar got me. Now I’m married and have 3 kids. Gotta be careful out there.
Did you hit the camera at 6:24? 😮😂
@CodenameCoconu Ha ha you caught that.
TSC is an absolute LET DOWN. And that’s an understatement
@froyo9674 yes I am pretty sure that they had kids working on the car and the manager I delt with was absolutely terrible. I actually dred having to ever go back there again. Thanks for the comment.
Awesome plow videos here. Hard to believe your channel is <1,000 subs. I just sub'd!
@anthonyg6221 Right on thanks Anthony I'll be playing in the snow again soon but first a little firewood
Just curious why no cover for it?
@1razerful I have covered it in the past but it is usually covered in snow right after I use it which alot of times is for days straight. And I never covered it in the rain which is basically the same thing. After 18 years there is still no damage from rain or snow. I should have actually covered it in the sun as that is the only thing that has damaged it the sun has faded it.
you wouldnt do that in heavy snow tires inflated or not
Is better to plow with the storm if at al possible rather then plowing grand total snow
Yes it is faster and easier when I am able to stay on top of it, but sometimes I just wake up to it and other times I am out and come home to it. Coming home to it is the worst as I have to walk up the driveway to get to the quad.
Biggest mistake I made when I got my mini excavator was not getting it early enough! I have used it a lot and would really miss it if it was gone!
Yes, before the mini I used a 2wd Backhoe, I spent more time stuck than actually digging.
What is the purpose of the cables?
That whole mechanism makes no sense to me all it seems to do is cut the power to the motor when the throttle cable gets loose or stretched over time.
I don't know what to do with my 4 wheels ❤
@@renawells5575 I don't know Rena why not just keep them you can always get someone to help you with them😃

Pretty close to 1k now! Next year I will take down a lot of trees but this year I have hardly touched the chainsaw.
I haven't started my chainsaw either lately, and my woodshed is empty. Yes I am getting close to the 1000 ,I guess I should use the camera more I have been slacking on it too lately.
@@liveworkplaywilderness1877 I am installing a air to water heatpump that will reduce my firewood consumption drastically (I hope)
Those trees are good firewood and will clean your chimney is what they say. I think about alder trees that spread really fast. Would love to have a mini excavator here to help remove those trees.
I have never heard that before, I usually try to burn mostly Douglas fir .but I should look into it.
Service mode is handy. Shows more detail.
Funny I have always been kinda weary about putting it in service mode, I guess I should try it .
It helps to have tow truck drivers know what they are doing. In time that will change. In the meantime, EV owners will need to educate them sadly.
@shou635 exactly, the driver had told me that he had towed other Teslas, He Lied. So yeah everyone that drives a Tesla should be familiar with the towing procedure.
It stinks that a few people at a bad service center can ruin it. True for anything I guess. But would be good if you had at least one other service center for you. I didn’t take my Tesla in for service for the first for years. No issues. Right before warranty was up, took it in for a minor warranty item. My initial service center was almost 300 miles away but now have one local to me.
@shou635 Absolutely correct, the service centers are too few and far between. I wish that I had just replaced the 12v battery myself because I am thinking that would have solved the problems. So far it still has been the best car I have ever had, I have now put almost 100.000 kms on it in under two years. I still look forward to driving it every time I get in it. Thanks for the comment.
Thank you. More!
Thank you.
I was stranded briefly when charging away from home. A manual latch on the charging plug broke. We eventually worked out this had happened and worked out how to release the manual latch.
@restfulplace3273 good to know, I'm pretty sure the whole problem with my car could have been solved if Tesla would have sent a service guy to me and just changed the 12v battery.
Wasn’t expecting to be the first comment on a 3 month old video:) Or to find an excavator owner also owning a Tesla. There’s a guy in NZ owns an electric mini excavator & tows with a Tesla model X.
@restfulplace3273 yes it is funny how youtube works I had one video up for a year and only had about two hundred views and about six months later it was going crazy, I think it is at around 80,000 now .but yes I do have a assortment of different vehicles.
Thank you ! I really enjoyed understanding how it works ! All kids dreams to have such a machine ! :D It seems very versatile and useful (nah, won't convince the wife that I need one :P )
Yes and the older I get the more I appreciate it, when I originally bought it I planned on only using it for building a driveway at our cabin I was going to sell it afterwards. The cabin is very remote and the driveway would have cost more than buying the machine. So it paid for itself with just building the driveway but I just can't bring myself to sell it now. Even though I don't use it alot it sure is nice to have when I do need it.
Just get it, it doesn’t cost anything because you can sell it for same as you bought it for! Just don’t buy in the spring when everyone wants to start with their digging projects!
Man that 350 sure puts in the work! Japanese quality! I added heated grips to both of my plow quads. I wouldn't go without hotgrips now. They're cheap and easy to install.
@anthonyg6221 that is funny you mentioned that I was just thinking it's about time I get heated grips and I was wondering how easy the installation would be.
good tips ! thanks
You are welcome, hope all is good back east
@@liveworkplaywilderness1877 yes, taking things slowly, enjoying the remaining nice days, AND, hoping for hell of snow for once this winter :P
@alexandreblanc2842 Ha ha I hear you, I want snow as well the more the better I want to see how deep my little old quad can plow.

Is it really necessary for someone who doesn't haul heavy stuff? My 2003 toy tacoma has leaky brake lines in the rear.
@cindystechschulte1487 No, I don't think it is necessary, and a lot of people just bypass it. As far as I am concerned, it's just another place for a problem to occur
Haha! Im a hoarder too! Kids want me to clean up the garden….
We have a lot of old steel pipes in our house and they have been leaking from time to time. So I have replaced them with pex when that happens. Stupid steel pipes don’t even last for 100 years….
Wow, how old is your house?
@@liveworkplaywilderness1877 probably about 150 years old but the record says 1907 because that is when the registry is from.
Well-done. My bottom rollers broke too, decided to change them all because what I heard from the experienced guy was that the rest of it would be broken too soon. Instead of changing one by one, it is better to change them all. Thanks for the video.
@alexanderlehanofficial9611 yes changing all would have definitely been better, only for me it was kinda about the cost but then I also could only buy a few as they were a little hard to get in my little town. Unfortunately I still have a few more that need to be done.
Thanks!
You are welcome hope it works out for you.
Thank you for your video. I love my 2011 Hitachi 35U-3. Great machine! One thing that I can't figure out is why none of my Hitachi factory parts catalogues have any diagrams or even a mention of our bucket mounting system. Mine is like yours... where we 'roll' that plate under the bucket, put the wedge in place and then add the single bolt. It's a great system but mine is getting a little sloppy and I can't find parts for it within any of my books. Any thoughts on this? Do we have something special here?
@PJ-ee5mc other than the bolt coming loose alot I have never had any issues or experiences yet, but you do know that it is the same as a John deer. I have found deer parts when I was unable to find Hitachi parts.
@liveworkplaywilderness1877 Jd parts. Good point. I'll look at the JD35G and see if I can find any parts/diagrams on line. Thanks!
Any update?
@shou635 very soon they have the car right now and have had it for a few weeks. It should be interesting to say the least. Within a few weeks I will make a video.
Nice job !! And nice looking firewood .
I'm also a pacific northwestern and harvest lots of firewood !
Seems here it's getting just a little harder every year, could be an age thing ,or a too many people thing or a little of both .Thanks for watching.
Brother you basically just said, I did no research at all, how’s that the problem with buying a Tesla.
Hydraulic ,leak, hoses seaping low on fluid in tranny
Sprinkling sand over the wet topcoat worksokay
Yes I have done that before with my boat
😊the stairs look like they may be slippery
I might change to live edge cedar I have a chainsaw mill to make them
Think about two stair railings
Yes we can use the old railings just need posts
Hello, I just had a general question. I have been slowly working my way through your plowing videos. In a couple, you are shown installing the plow. Would it be possible to use the winch to partially lift or suspend the plow, before attempting to attach it. If the plow frame is free floating, it could make aligning the pins easier.
@grimwaldreaper9605 I think you might just be onto something here I never thought of that but that could definitely save some grief I will definitely try it thanks.
What is the circular foot button on the floor board?
It's a high speed, but it is kinda lame you can barely notice the difference.
Hey if you ever have the gas tank off the xr200 check the frame right by the back tank bolt on frame it’s under the front part of the seat the frame cracks in half under front seat bolt right under the extra part of the tank that the bolt goes thru you can’t see the cracks with tank bolted down till you take the tank bolt out and just lift the tank up a little you will see them if there is any at all it’s worth a check just so you know the frame don’t crack in half the motor bolts would still hold it together but could crack engine cases also if left busted No one had migwelders back then the 1980is a sweet bike there such time capsules they been in some videos movies these bikes still are epic every thing from the 70s and 80s was awesome it was before every thing went plastic
That dog is your best friend you see the connection with you it could tell your next move stopped in the snow but just as soon as you come back it was back on the road for the race to the finish line dad that is beautiful the connection you made with your dog is hard to find that’s pure love
I love the dog on the back that is so beautiful I have always been a dog lover all my life there man’s best friend we always had family dogs life would not be the same with out them god bless buddy your dog is beautiful
Got the same bike it’s a beast I run it up trees and it still runs like it’s brand new
@jonnysuperglide ha ha that's is funny, but I know it's true. I think these were the most reliable bikes made.
You got that right your bike is so nice be safe your videos are cool I subscribed and give you a thumbs up
Have you done a video just for the steps on how to bypass the LSPV? I have a 2002 Tacoma and I completely agree that the best thing to do at this point is to get rid of the darned thing.
@joselinares1537 I'm not sure if I made a video about it as it was a while ago but I do remember that you have to plug the return line. I think near the resivior
