The visuals aren't the most amazing?! What the hell? This game looks really pretty, it's obviously not realistic, but it has a great style, and the lighting effects really add something to the comic vibe. Personally, it was one of the few things that would make me get this game.
I'm playing through this game right now and whole I agree that the art style of the game is beautiful, there are definitely a few visual issues namely LOD loading in a game about zipping around super quickly. Like, whole shadow maps of an area won't be loaded until you get closer. Granted, this is from a studio and they didn't have the PS4 Pro to bolster it's strength so it's a product of what they have to work with.
the game is so fun just to move around. the side missions are really fun and varied with a surprising amount of different stuff and little stories the game as a whole is super charming that and the music make for a very fun experience.
joedatius Fun and varied? I haven't played the game except for the first game and I had suuuch a terrible experience with that but can you tell me some of the "really fun" side quests? Cause if it's side quests like fetch quest or "go talk to this person to get information then go talk to this person to get more information" quest then no that is not very fun as you so call it to be.
the way they set up the quests are lots of fun because it's always something a bit different from the last even if you are doing simple tasks, like taking photos in one mission your taking photos of monsters for the news paper and in another your asking girls to have their pictures to give to some old man or your flying around to deliver news papers to people in their balconies or trying to deliver a smelly package that you have to be careful not to pass out from. aside from things like challenges I haven't seen many quests that repeat themselves or anything all of them at this point are like little stories for people and it makes it more interesting and fun unlike other games where it feels like you are just doing the same tasks just in different locations. but this game does a good job at making simple missions feel more fun and stand out more.
well whats considered as fun is pretty subjective. my point is that the game does a good job at making these missions feel different and enjoyable via its charm and making them feel different even if they are similar in broad objectives.
It's a smattering of a few different languages jumbled in with gibberish, but the gibberish does all fit into an actual in-game vocabulary. Most notably French and Japanese, while obviously doing some sort of Spoofed French-like accents.
my biggest surprised with this game was inserting the disc and starting to play ot right away with no Day 1 patch BS and free DLC. This ks an example to be followed, but no one will care because it is not Bethesda doing it
Papi Shmup is it worth 60 dollars? I like anime this channel always leaves me unsure I only watch it cuz angry joe doesn't review games as much as he used to
If you enjoyed the first game, you will like this one even more. However if you didn't play the first one, you won't really understand the story or have any substantial attachement to the characters. I would highly recommend the first one, you can get it super cheap on PS4 right now if you have PS Plus.
Btw, if I were you I'd look into amazon prime, You can get new games for 47.99 + free 2 day shipping + with yakuza 0 I just said 5 business days since I'm not horribly rushed to get yakuza 0 and so I have 5 dollars of credit for prime pantry.
It's a totally good game!!! His opinion is kinda disappointing!!! The game has a Lot of daily things to do which is refreshing and gives you a sense of living in a different world and gets you immersed to a new world!
Gravity Rush Remastered is one of my favorite games of all time. I'm only half-way done with Gravity Rush 2 and am absolutely loving this game. I've only gotten frustrated with one section/boss fight but other than that, it really is quite an improvement from the first game.
I have the Platinum Trpohies in both Gravity Rush Remasterd and 2 and I am totally in love with these games. Kat is just an absolutely adorable main character. A bit naive maybe but cute.^^ And I love the ending of this game. The whole final boss fight event is just awesome even though the way Kat defeats him in the end is pretty much "Anime bullshit". :)
I agree, Kat is just simply amazing and pure adore. I've played the first part on vita and just loved it, because its just the perfect game for really using your vita, with the controllers its a little weird in the RM and sequel but you can learn it easily. It's simply one of a kind luckily, hopefully theyll pull out more parts. You just can love or hate them. PS: Oh wow a Valvatorez Avatar :)
@@nastyline9693 The Trophy were you have to raise all of Kats Power to maximum is a bit grindy. But there is one mission (don't remember which one) where you can collect like 1000 or so gems in a few minutes. Gather them, save and reload and you can collect them again.
I have played 9 hours so far, these are my impressions: Missions are varied and fun first of all. As much as most modern games typically get anymore. A fair amount of the side quests have decent character development and world building too. Everything from combat/guarding missions, mail delivery, stealth, basic fetch quests, treasure hunts, and maybe more. Characters are fun and lovable, story so far isn't great, but isn't bad. Camera can be wonky, but oddly enough it never gets in my way during combat, only when I am exploring the little corners of the city trying to get the gems. FFXV camera is far worse. Stealth missions aren't that bad so far, not great, but it calls back to the days of watching enemy movement and moving forward when appropriate, I think they are kinda fun really, not a popular opinion I know... Treasure hunts are great, you find treasure throughout the world, take pictures to help other players find them, and you use their pictures to find the chests they found too. You can actively adorn the different outfits in the game while doing this, in true magical girl changing fashion. World is beautiful, vertical, and lively with civilians and plenty of physics-applied object to fall on and break, throw, and use as weapons. The graphics aid in bringing to world to life, really some of the best stylized graphics you can find, only topped by the likes of Ratchet and Clank (PS4). Soundtrack is also great as in the first game. Btw, you can seemingly play the whole game in first person, from flying to I even think combat, haven't tried active combat, but needless to say this game needs a PSVR mode. Just a really fun game so far, would highly recommend as long as you don't have any gripes with the obvious anime vibe of the game. Also, I really want an anime adaptation. Would CURRENTLY rate it 9/10
as someone who has had the game since 2017, i still adore it and still play it to this day, it’s so satisfying to fall/fly from la havina all the way to la elgonia just to watch the animations; to switch from light to heavy gravity modes to watch how the clothes fold and just feel heavier/lighter. it’s an art/animation students dream; a way i would describe it is like a spiderman game, you could spend hours just swinging around for fun.
too many good games in a year is a bad move though in my opinion, people would spent too much money some games will lost a lot of sales in the process especially the ones that comes out later on
same, but we have the first one, and the first one was great. If you have a ps vita but not a ps4, you're really not taking advantage of the potential there.
YakuZa persona 5 was never intended to be on vita though, gravity rush 2 was originally ps4 and vita exclusive but somewhere in development they decided to cancel the vita version which triggers a lot of people i guess
Whats special about this game is the huge open world and the movement, the story might not ve very good but its quite big , and loads of side missions too. Still one of my favorite games
***** i thought this was on pc, but i didnt really watch the video. Consoles have games with good graphics on them too, but this game has terrible graphics.
Not really. To each his own of course but as the other guy said, it's amazingly smooth for it's art style. Kinda like how Life is Strange is like a painting or Borderlands as cel shaded.
Indeed. It takes time for the unaccelerated to kinetically reach that conclusion. Potentionally, the philosophy of undestructable apples my be lost to many. Some just need friends from high places, preferably an old man and two weird kids. Potential Gravitational Energy puns aside, I dug myself a black hole.
i always thought the camera being hard to master was a stroke of, possibly unintentional, genius. I imagine if gravity was all over the place than your spacial awareness and sense of direction would be as well. having to master where your camera is pointing and keeping up on that makes perfect sense to me
"let's assing a guy who doesn't like anime to review a game with an anime art style, people will love that, especially when he refers to the story as anime bullshit"
Well that's one way to interpret that...because I'm a huge anime fan and I not only agree that "anime bullshit" is definetly a thing, I'd even say it's worse for many anime fans than for people who just check it out. Jake is a great reviewer and to me it sounded like the story of gravity rush 2 is much more "Highschool DxD" than "Steins;Gate"...as an anime fan you have to like anime bullshit or search around it for the true gems, but saying anime-bullshit is not a thing is delusional. I mean more than half the series of every anime season are forgettable, bland and shitfilled with stupid decisions that can only be described as bullshit. I mean have you ever heard of Final Fantasy 13? That's exactly what I would call anime-bullshit. Not because I think it's bad, but rather because the true weeaboos wouldn't mind that stuff while most other people hated it, found it weird or just didn't get it.
@@TechBlade9000 I was using it as a bad example smh...not that I care but damn that's ignorant. I basically used a word you don't like and you thought "ugh that's beneath me"... you're probably the coolest person you know, right?
As someone who owns both the Vita and PS4 versions of the first game, (on top of having 100% completion for both versions including DLC) there are a couple of things that I do feel took a step backwards. The biggest offender being the gravity kicks. Yes, they do have a much larger lock-on radius, but that does more harm than good. The lock on tends to favor enemies on the far ends of the screen as opposed to what you're focused on. This issue is made even worse in the mining sites due to the fact that the gravity kicks can lock onto ore deposits and will often favor targeting the deposits through a wall as opposed to the enemy you're looking at. For all the complaints people had about the first game flinging you in the wrong direction if you missed a kick, it was at least possible to learn enemy timing for movements so you could counteract that. And since targeting was far more precise, you would find yourself going after the wrong enemy far less often. The camera can also be a massive pain in indoor sections here. When you first get access to the Jupiter style, the you're going to find yourself stuck inside of an area that's just made up of really long tunnels and small rooms with really jagged geometry in its design. As a result, gravity slides can and will send you off in random directions, something that doesn't happen very often in the actual hub world due to the fact that the geometry of the world is much cleaner. Then you're going to have to factor in the camera getting stuck on the horrible geometry in the indoor area to start freaking out. I can picture it getting a lot of people sick. Now the last major thing to mention that was never really brought up in this video is performance. Particularly in two parts of the game. The first is a specific enemy type that is only referred to as "the swarm" when it first appears. This enemy type basically amounts to a group of flying fish. YOU NEED TO TAKE DOWN THESE ENEMIES FIRST! I don't say that because they're hard to defeat but because they will make the game chug. Your frame rate can and will suffer horrible drops. The swarm all attack with fireballs at the same time, and whatever the effect is that's used for them tanks performance. Since you'll be seeing several of these at any given time, and at multiple points in the game, you will see drops into the single digits on the frame rate. The second major drop in performance doesn't so much come from frame rate, though the micro black hole drops it pretty bad (Nowhere near as bad as the swarm, though.), it comes from loading. As many of you have seen in the trailers leading up to the game, you will be returning to Hekseville. Now this doesn't seem like it'd cause much of a problem, but if you learn to optimize movement and travel at the fastest rate possible, you're going to witness slow loading in real time. If you fly between any of the districts too quickly, the collision and geometry will load, but the textures will be extremely blurry and NPCs will take a few seconds to spawn in. The reason that this doesn't really appear too much in Jirga Para Lhao is its sheer size. Jirga has a much larger buffer zone between each district since they're all vertically stacked at great distances from each other. Hekseville doesn't have that because it's a much smaller map. So the shorter travel time often results in being able to arrive in an area before it's fully loaded. I don't want to give you all the impression that this isn't a fun game, though. The easiest way to summarize this game is the same way to summarize the first. It's a flawed but enjoyable experience. Shifting gravity is a blast and like the first game, I found myself returning just to fly around the map without actually doing anything to progress the story or improve Kat's skills. The characters are all well-written and make you want to keep playing just for the fun dialogue that you're going to see all the time in cutscenes. And presentation and music are absolutely fantastic. If you are willing to put up with some technical problems and the annoying stealth missions, then I do recommend this game without a doubt.
Why? Both games have all style and aesthetic with little to no substance. There's a reason this series is so forgotten. It's literally done nothing but use a cool game mechanic and have a cool art style, that's it. Okami is way over this
***** Oh my god, the Nier Automata demo was amazing and I finally beat the Nioh boss, Ogress. OH, I've got to ask, when I got the Mark of the conqueror DLC notice, I tried to download it but all it said was that the dlc was not available. Has this happened on your end?
Must say I really loved the game and, though you dont give scores, it's 9 for me. The story as you said might not be the best, but's quite deep since it goes beyond what nowadays developers and writers use for the narratives of most games. Gravity just amazing and well worked, the whole gameplay may look a little confusing at first with the camera and initial mechanics, buteven so it gets very exciting fighting enemies and running through here and there. OST makes the point on buying the game, just perfect, does really fit in every single part of the game. And secondaries are pretty entertaining and fun though getting repeative, they're okey, which says more from this game than others more famous, not deserved in my opinion. Most of people dont know GR which is a pity. It's a great saga for anyone who wants to get a good time playing and enjoying different challenges and going into a story a bit different than usual. Thanks everyone for reading this, and remember is just my opinion and I dont want to make anyone feel like Im trying to make them buy the game. I just shared my experience and the very moments I've had while playing, which I think are the reasons of why I want to buy a game.
Totally disagreed in this review. Gravity rush 2 is easy one of the best games in the modern industry gaming, and the best exclusive of ps4. The Story is strong, in the post-game is so emotional, The ending is Beautiful. The graphics are Amazing, better check the physics that are amazing, better than other ps4 game. The characters are charming and Kat for me is the best female character in the gaming industry. Side Quest are fun, even the stealth missions are great, so dont fool us with other people write about it. For me, Gravity rush 2 is one of the best games that i play in my life with Zelda, Mario Galaxy and Super metroid. No Matter what console you have it, please play this Amazing game. 10-10 Masterpiece
Do you think this game is amazing even after the server shotdown ? (It's because i planned on buying the game now and the server shotdown makes me hesitate :/ )
Quentin B. The server shutdown means you cannot get things like some emotes, GR1 costumes and talismans as well as not being able to do vs missions but there’s still tons of content. It’s on sale quite a lot now you might as well :)
I just got this game I haven't start playing it yet but I can't wait. the original game on the PS Vita is in my top 10 favorite games of all time. and has easily one of my favorite game soundtracks of all time.
i dont agreed with this "Review" 3:34 the visual arent the most amazing??? WTF??? Are you blind... this Graphics and the art is beautiful, gameplay is perfect. and The story of the game is beautiful and have mysteries... There are few thing that i agreed that this game is a precious gem that every gamer must play like Zelda. For me this game is a 10-10!!! and people that play this game give the same score
@@strvtosmusic OK, The video is crap in first time and im gonna tell you why. - Gravity rush 2 is one of Cultural heritage of gaming industry modern for many points: -The story is full of mystery and manages the temporal parallelism in a sublime way, where the most important events are revealed. - The scenarios are beautiful works, which the video shows the ignorance of the "analysts". - The soundtrack is beautiful, orchestral that captivates hearts - Kat and her characters are believable and beautiful, that you easily fall in love with all of them. - Its multiplayer was beautiful and original in its time for the activities of taking photos and the clues to obtain reward points. - It has different endings but connected to each other - Its replay value is immense. - The stealth section is spot on, and it's silly to criticize this effort the developers made to give the game diversity - It has morals that range from love towards family, personal improvement, doing good to people, caring for animals, the importance of school ... all handled beautifully by side quest. - The gameplay is unique - There is no violence. - The game is made with passion and love ... not as a source of income like Fortnite or COD.

If anyone's thinking about not buying the game, just change your mind and get it. When I first saw the game I thought it would be fun. When I was about half way though I was certain it was going to be in my top twenty games. Now that I finished it. Gravity Rush 2 is firmly in 8th place in my list of best video games of all time. Of course that's my opinion, but the combination of the style, uniqueness, story, writing, and especially the soundtrack. Gravity Rush 2 is one awesome game.
6 years later this review kinda didn't age that well, Gravity Rush 2 is considered an Underrated masterpiece. Calling the story "Anime Bullshit" seems a bit unnecessary considering it's a light hearted Japanese Game. The characters aren't speaking Japanese, it's actually a language the devs created that's based on French.
I haven't played any gravity rush game though I'm very interested. Action adventure is my favorite game genre and there just enough of them that interest me these days.
"All Japanese and subtitles." They're not speaking Japanese. Although some phrases sound borrowed from Japanese, it's by and large a fictional language in their world.
usually I watch these videos fanatically before I buy games. but I loved gravity Rush 1 so much that I bought this game on the first day. have been enjoying it :)
I hate how you say that the story is BS! It's a unique world with unknown elements! I'm already over 30 years old but the story is intruiging! You don't know what's gonna happen! This game changes your perspective! Also it's a totally new take on gaming which is really refreshing! There is no game Like this one! Once you understand the gravity rush world and its inclusions the story is pretty legit!nn
This game can be played completely single player. There are a few features which take advantage of the internet, however the interraction between players is extremely indirect and the small challenges which are introduced as a result yield very minor rewards.
10 UNREALISTIC Gravity Weapons in Video Games Is where I first learned that this was a game I’ve never heard of it before so I bought it today and I just started overall I’m so excited to see how it goes
Actually jumped straight into this w/o playing the first one because i was playing the demo and had fun hurling myself across buildings. Finished it and really loved the story; although it was really hard to follow. Game was such fun to play so I purchased the remastered version of Gravity Rush and enjoying that one as well.
"It is separated into three different acts..." Wait, did you completely miss the fourth chapter? The best chapter in the game? The one that gives Kat's story a satisfying conclusion? That chapter?
I'm playing this game in 2022. The online servers have been shutdown, so no more online activity, but the game still tries to connect and gives you an error message, that's annoying. I played the first on both Vita and PS4, and I enjoyed it very much. The first game had a unique visual style, and great music. Gravity Rush 2 is much bigger, but sadly it feels more like a grind. You spent a lot of time flying around, and looking for collectibles. Most of the missions are fun, but some are annoying and when you fail you have to start all over again. Another thing I find annoying is that during missions you're frequently interrupted by cut scenes, and that kills the immersion. During intense battles, Kat can also be difficult to control. And every time you travel between the city and the mines, there are TWO long cutscenes to make the transition. You can skip the cutscenes but it requires several button presses, really annoying. The game has a limited amount of voice acting, the characters now make unintelligible noises, sadly it makes the characters sound stupid. I preferred the complete lack of voice acting from the first game.
I love Gravity Rush (in a fanboyish way) but I agree with your rating. This is a 7.5(or 8)/10 game which might feel 8.5 to some people and 6.5 to others. All in all, even with its faults, I still believe this is one of the best and most original superhero game I've ever played.
I'm a die hard fan of the first Gravity Rush, it's one of my all time favourite games. Came into 2 with a lot hype and a lot of hopes and it hit every possible mark for me. The story was entertaining and conclusive, gameplay expanded on the first well while maintaining the fun and unique gravity manipulation, music is some fantastic stuff just like the first, side missions and amount of content were a huge step up (especially since I felt the first games biggest issue was a lack of content) and world design was wonderful. Honestly, my only complaint was some technical issues like pop in, but I'm more than willing to forgive that when it lived up to all the high expectations I had after loving the first game.
+Rikku Freak - It sure is my friend :-) like BelmontDEmperor said, it's called Gravity Rush Remastered. So go get that one if that is more accesible to ya!
I loved the game a lot. I might be bias because I loved the first game too, but I do have one complaint. The Power up system just felt really dumbed down compared to the first one. The first game, the upgrades were essential, and were very upgradable to the players choice of wanting more stamina or more gravity speed depending on the situation you were in. And once you beat the game, most of the power ups were upgraded to max. In 2, none of the upgrades seems like you needed them. The only only really was being able to carry more items in stasis. Gravity speed, stamina, health, all of that was taken out for just leveling up during quests. And when I beat the game, I still had plenty of upgrades to unlock. I spent a good four five hours grinding gems just for the trophy. Just seems strange why they had such a perfect upgrade system, just to throw it out for something so sub par.
I played the first one on the vita when it was on ps+ and was really surprised from this game and bought the Remastered for the PS4 last year and know Gravity Rush 2 is finally out I really love those games the graphics are really cool, the combat is great, the new city is amazing and I really love Kat and Raven doing things together in this game, the story is very good I think and those stealth missions aren't that bad but they not necessary. The side quests are fun and really long 20-40 minutes very often what's good and I really like the community hunts I hope they will make a third game that would be awesome I really want to see more from those characters
i bought the first one a week ago and I platinumed it in less than a week. So much fun, such a good platinum as well. This game is really fun, played the first few hours, what breath of fresh air.
honestly, I do not find it repetitive, and, although not finishing the game yet i have got to the point where they run out of ideas, but i think it's great. there's so much to do and you can literally do whatever you want. i mean, come on. you can fly. i just really love the variety is what i guess i'm saying, and that you have to see it from a different angle.
It sounds so pathetic to me when someone complains about camera control in a video game. And most of the time that game being a (surprise!) console exclusive.
Dose 2 need a remaster? The style really didn't age that badly and the few places it did age just kinda enhances its charm That and it's on ps 5 for cheap
This review shied away from the true fruits of this game. And they are apples. A Red Apple Falls From The Sky. That fucking song: Motherfucking beautiful. "Best gaming music I've ever heard"? Talk about the world's greatest understatement! They made that song fucking relavent from the moment it appeats. That's called continuity, bitches! Gravity? Pfft! The fuck is gravity? What even IS gravity? No, fuck gravity! You'll be making Gravity your bitch as well as form a harem with Inertia, Friction, and Mass! Side missions with variety? Come again and say "variety" one more time after you VIOLENTLY STASIS FIELD LAUNCH PEOPLE INTO A NOODLE STAND JUST TO UNLOCK A FUCKING COSTUME! Photoshoots? Treasurehunts? Props? You'll be time traveling the long way around once you discover you can use A GOLDEN MOTHERFUCKING TARDIS AS A PROP! Combat features? You'll be immersing yourself into kicking the asses of enemies JUST TO PROCURE THE GEMS AND TALISMANS NECCERSSARY TO UPGRADE YOUR TIGHT ASS. And to what? Why, TO KICK EVEN MORE ASS! Characters? Bitch, be prepared to be amazed by the ass kicking that their personalities shall inflict as they force you to choose: WHO IS BEST WAIFU?! What are you fools doing?! Buy this game now, damn it! And may 2017 bless this godfucking game!
2017 is off to a good start. *EDIT* The language isn't Japanese. It's made-up. Sorry!

love ur channel, God Bless!
I saw you jump off a cliff and float in mid-air... I'm buying It.
It's great, enjoy. Though I recommend buying the first one before this one.
Chilltrillgangtx there's a demo on the ps store
If you thought that was cool, you'll love this game.
Chilltrillgangtx the first game remastered on the ps4 is cheap and kinda the same(ish) if you want to give it a try first?
Is that all it took you to buy it? Lol
The visuals aren't the most amazing?! What the hell? This game looks really pretty, it's obviously not realistic, but it has a great style, and the lighting effects really add something to the comic vibe. Personally, it was one of the few things that would make me get this game.
This is something that modern Sly game should look like. I really love art style of this game.
Yeah that's why I was thinking like what you mean it's not supposed to be realistic it's supposed to have an anime style to it
I'm playing through this game right now and whole I agree that the art style of the game is beautiful, there are definitely a few visual issues namely LOD loading in a game about zipping around super quickly. Like, whole shadow maps of an area won't be loaded until you get closer. Granted, this is from a studio and they didn't have the PS4 Pro to bolster it's strength so it's a product of what they have to work with.
So true!!!
Going from Pleajune to the Market is one of the best style changes I've ever seen
This game is literrally the definition of underrated
The definition of a slog to play.
Totally! Kinda a shame!
As a Gravity Rush fan y can second your comment
yup
Fax, so underrated
the game is so fun just to move around. the side missions are really fun and varied with a surprising amount of different stuff and little stories the game as a whole is super charming that and the music make for a very fun experience.
joedatius Fun and varied? I haven't played the game except for the first game and I had suuuch a terrible experience with that but can you tell me some of the "really fun" side quests? Cause if it's side quests like fetch quest or "go talk to this person to get information then go talk to this person to get more information" quest then no that is not very fun as you so call it to be.
the way they set up the quests are lots of fun because it's always something a bit different from the last even if you are doing simple tasks, like taking photos in one mission your taking photos of monsters for the news paper and in another your asking girls to have their pictures to give to some old man or your flying around to deliver news papers to people in their balconies or trying to deliver a smelly package that you have to be careful not to pass out from. aside from things like challenges I haven't seen many quests that repeat themselves or anything all of them at this point are like little stories for people and it makes it more interesting and fun unlike other games where it feels like you are just doing the same tasks just in different locations. but this game does a good job at making simple missions feel more fun and stand out more.
joedatius I wouldn't say taking photos is very... Fun
well whats considered as fun is pretty subjective. my point is that the game does a good job at making these missions feel different and enjoyable via its charm and making them feel different even if they are similar in broad objectives.
I spent a lot of time just taking photos. lol
Dude, its not all Japanese with subtitles. The language in the game is a made up one.
It's a smattering of a few different languages jumbled in with gibberish, but the gibberish does all fit into an actual in-game vocabulary. Most notably French and Japanese, while obviously doing some sort of Spoofed French-like accents.
When I heard him saying that... I can't describe what I felt.
It's a mixture of french and Japanese
Man I don't know Japanese at all and don't watch anime, yet I could tell the game wasn't in Japanese.
The entire language is gibberish, there's hints of French and Japanese dialect, yeah, but the actual words? ALL of them? They're entirely gibberish.
at least these people are good at revewing games instead of IGN
7.5/10 too much water
7.5/10 too much gravity
Thanks. Jake tries really hard, lol

lol
Life of a Black Tiger - Before you buy?
I'm sure af that's a joke from SONY.
strong GOTY contender
Charles What are you talking about? It's not a joke, the game has beastly graphics and it's far better than crysis 3. Lel
LOL
I expect a 2 second video with a black screen and one big "DON'T" in the center.
my biggest surprised with this game was inserting the disc and starting to play ot right away with no Day 1 patch BS and free DLC. This ks an example to be followed, but no one will care because it is not Bethesda doing it

haha highly agreed mate. Highly agreed.
gabriel jimenez and free dlc :o

If you enjoyed the first game, you will like this one even more. However if you didn't play the first one, you won't really understand the story or have any substantial attachement to the characters. I would highly recommend the first one, you can get it super cheap on PS4 right now if you have PS Plus.
Maxificent I do have a ps plus
I'll check it out thanks
You're welcome :D

Dont listen to him, he's only playing the first-fifth episode and haven't been playing the open-world part.. Trust me, it'll hook you up!

A bit naive maybe but cute.^^
And I love the ending of this game.
I agree completely.
Could you use new game plus when you finish it?
I'm about to buy this game, did it get you too grindy, tiring, too much chores to platinum this GR2?
@@nastyline9693 The Trophy were you have to raise all of Kats Power to maximum is a bit grindy.
But there is one mission (don't remember which one) where you can collect like 1000 or so gems in a few minutes. Gather them, save and reload and you can collect them again.
Before you buy?? No... but this shit now!! It's fuckin fantastic!
I've never played Gravity rush, but I have dreams of having gravity powers.
Square Squid Studios really?
Doodle x You don't! It is like being able to fly but better.
Gravity powers are cool as hell.
I've have dreams of a box expanding and shrinking. It was literally my biggest nightmare as a kid.
gameranx what is best game for vita
I have played 9 hours so far, these are my impressions:
Missions are varied and fun first of all.
Would CURRENTLY rate it 9/10
JokersJist there's a short anime of this called gravity daze..
AntiTeemo I know, but I want a full fledged, 24 episode (or at least 12 episode) anime.
AntiTeemo gravity daze just like demo gravity rush 2. But we can see kat using hand combat :D
as someone who has had the game since 2017, i still adore it and still play it to this day, it’s so satisfying to fall/fly from la havina all the way to la elgonia just to watch the animations; to switch from light to heavy gravity modes to watch how the clothes fold and just feel heavier/lighter. it’s an art/animation students dream; a way i would describe it is like a spiderman game, you could spend hours just swinging around for fun.
Same I just don’t get tired of this game
Calling it now. 2017 will be the best gaming year we had in a long time. Starting with this , Resident Evil 7, Nioh and Kingdom Hearts 2.8
Alot of people said that at the beginning of 2014

I hope you're right
too many good games in a year is a bad move though in my opinion, people would spent too much money some games will lost a lot of sales in the process especially the ones that comes out later on
Just don't get your expectations higher than the Burj Khalifa.
It really chaps my ass that this isn't on the vita
same, but we have the first one, and the first one was great. If you have a ps vita but not a ps4, you're really not taking advantage of the potential there.
Nebby believe it or not there are still lots of people who still use it like me. I wish it caught on more
Vita is dead. ofc this wont be there so is persona 5
YakuZa vita still has a pulse, as games are actually still coming out for it. but I suspect that ends this year. its amazing it got this far tho tbh
YakuZa persona 5 was never intended to be on vita though, gravity rush 2 was originally ps4 and vita exclusive but somewhere in development they decided to cancel the vita version which triggers a lot of people i guess
I'm sure this game is gonna look good 15 years from now
Gravity Rush Remasterd and Gravity Rush 2 : the most underrated games .. ☹️
but probs to you gameranx finally a good review for this amazing game 😊
Whats special about this game is the huge open world and the movement, the story might not ve very good but its quite big , and loads of side missions too. Still one of my favorite games

gravity rush 2 was the first game where i was put to shock after seeing the graphics, idk what ur talking about
mimu such bad graphics ://
the graphics are great for the art style, but if you only care about the graphics go PC.
Graphics are good
I think you dont know the gravity of this game... Is quite an bigger mass, than solitarium...

Indeed. It takes time for the unaccelerated to kinetically reach that conclusion. Potentionally, the philosophy of undestructable apples my be lost to many. Some just need friends from high places, preferably an old man and two weird kids.

i always thought the camera being hard to master was a stroke of, possibly unintentional, genius. I imagine if gravity was all over the place than your spacial awareness and sense of direction would be as well. having to master where your camera is pointing and keeping up on that makes perfect sense to me
i wish falcon would do these"Before You Buy's" because Jake just shits on every game that isn't a FPS

Not because I think it's bad, but rather because the true weeaboos wouldn't mind that stuff while most other people hated it, found it weird or just didn't get it.

these are super helpful, thanks guys for all you do for us!
Gravity rush 2 is amazing. there is a reason that gamespot gave it a 9.
Just discovered and finished G.R. recently and just downloaded G.R.2 today. Can't wait!
This game was my childhood, the first game I fully finished multiple times
"Before you buy" for that game? No need, sir. Should be "Just buy".
Totally Agreed!!
Before Nothing, Just Play and enjoy Gravity rush 2 and Gravity rush saga.
Why? Both games have all style and aesthetic with little to no substance. There's a reason this series is so forgotten. It's literally done nothing but use a cool game mechanic and have a cool art style, that's it. Okami is way over this

Howya Doin yeah same. Idk why
I like that ending animation. You got falcon, you, Anthony the new guy (Who will be forever know as Anthony the new guy) ad Tom

If anyone's thinking about not buying the game, just change your mind and get it. When I first saw the game I thought it would be fun.
I played the demo i thought it was pretty fun im just waiting for the price to drop
I love Gravity Rush (in a fanboyish way) but I agree with your rating. This is a 7.5(or 8)/10 game which might feel 8.5 to some people and 6.5 to others. All in all, even with its faults, I still believe this is one of the best and most original superhero game I've ever played.
Burak Eren THIS IS 10/10
the game is just fun there is not much to say, it's just a ton of fun hahahaa
I need to beat the first game first. I have it on both Vita and PS4.
PikaLink91 is the first game on ps4 as well? cause I dont have a vita
Rikku Freak Yes. It's called Gravity Rush Remastered on the PS4.
+Rikku Freak - It sure is my friend :-) like BelmontDEmperor said, it's called Gravity Rush Remastered. So go get that one if that is more accesible to ya!
If you get the gravity rush remasterd and the clothes fom the game you can use it in gravity rush 2 :D
PikaLink91 do you need to play the first one to understand this one?
This game looks cool
I played the first one on the vita when it was on ps+ and was really surprised from this game and bought the Remastered for the PS4 last year and know Gravity Rush 2 is finally out I really love those games the graphics are really cool, the combat is great, the new city is amazing and I really love Kat and Raven doing things together in this game, the story is very good I think and those stealth missions aren't that bad but they not necessary. The side quests are fun and really long 20-40 minutes very often what's good and I really like the community hunts I hope they will make a third game that would be awesome I really want to see more from those characters
I wanted to play this... but no console :(

MagnifiTasticMazing Can't Emulators give your PC a virus and isn't it illegal?
Sage Young it is Illegal, it's just the same as pirating films which is also Illegal
get friends that have it
I don’t think they tried to go for realistic so you shouldn’t had said that, because they went for a cartoony and anime style which is awesome!!!
i bought it a week ago and i'm liking it a lot :) even thinking of buying the sequel
I bought the 1st one a week ago*
i bought the first one a week ago and I platinumed it in less than a week. So much fun, such a good platinum as well. This game is really fun, played the first few hours, what breath of fresh air.
If you get the clothes from the first you can get it the clothes on the second. I think it only counts if you buy the remastered version. :)
Yes I platinumed the first one and I instantly unlocked all the old costumes in the sequel.
Maxificent The school uniform?
I'm glad I bought this game for quarantine.
I' m glad that there is a Huge community that love this game just like me
7.5 is bullshit. Trust me, it's a 9
honestly, I do not find it repetitive, and, although not finishing the game yet i have got to the point where they run out of ideas, but i think it's great. there's so much to do and you can literally do whatever you want. i mean, come on. you can fly. i just really love the variety is what i guess i'm saying, and that you have to see it from a different angle.
It sounds so pathetic to me when someone complains about camera control in a video game. And most of the time that game being a (surprise!) console exclusive.
let be real. gameranx is the BEST youtube channel about Gaming. like damn....Falcon's Voice is just sexy.
2:21 It's not Japanese, they speak a fictional language based on French
rumors are saying peak is getting remastered
Dose 2 need a remaster? The style really didn't age that badly and the few places it did age just kinda enhances its charm
That and it's on ps 5 for cheap
i understand that but imagine GR2 at 60 fps with better graphics@@doctordice2doctordice210
Gravity rush 1 and 2 are my fav games of all time and nobody can tell me otherwise
