Hi Lou! Sorry for the late reply. Yang laoshi says the staff is traditionally 3 meters long. That's a bit impractical for transport and indoor practice. I use ones that're 2.5 - 2.75 meters long.
I dont have a reliable source for a staff. I purchased mine at Kuen Way in Vancouver, BC, but they dont carry them any longer. They are really expensive to purchase online and shipping costs are astronomical.

Does the Yang family have an authentic staff form? I didn't know that....I will look into more!

I've been told there is a staff form, but it isn't in the "official" curriculum. I believe the Wu style staff form derives from the Yang family. There might be some Yang style offshoots that still teach the staff form.
The Yang family (via Yang Zhen Duo and Yang Jun) teach staff primarily as fa jing practice.

I believe that the staff form being demonstrated is based on an earlier spear form. There is a story of an unfortunate family death during spear training and the family decided to remove the spear head to make it safer. Being able to move your power/energy/jing to the tip of the pole is a skill.
