I was there on that dive with Brian. I am glad he survived to retail the story each year. 🙃

I just found your channel and I’m so glad! Awesome content!
It seems that TH-cam only suggests channels at 1k subscribers or higher.
Would have been nice to find it sooner.

Next time my partner says I have too much dive gear, I can point to this guy 😂😂😂 epic story that could well have had a very different outcome

I should have died. As mentioned, an adventure is reading about someone else in deep crap far far away. It's interesting to me that a decade later Steve found this and wanted to highlight it.

@@brianhughes2446 I’m really glad you made it and now your story can make us stop and think. Oh and I wish I owned a sub 😎

The reason he didn’t die is the same reason my uncle didn’t die of his heart attack. My uncle runs and works out alot as well.

As a medical provider to patients looking to decrease risk of cardiovascular events such as what was mentioned- I generally recommend: Mediterranean diet (or ornish program), aerobic exercise 30 min 3 x per week, stress free lifestyle, lots of antioxidants in diet or by vitamins, relaxation techniques, healthy relationships, financial planning and wisdom, having a purpose in life and vision for future, having a fun hobby. Medical check ups on lipids, weight reduction to about 28 BMI, medication if necessary.
