Still here . Don't forget everyone, take a second to soak in your moments . Because then you'll wish you knew that you were in the good times before they are gone.
I've seen them the last 2 years in Toronto, they still kick ass. Aaron does very well doing Austin's parts. I could do without Raad Soudani being on stage though.
ARavenousChimp I’m pretty much in the same boat. I listened to some of their stuff when it was still Austin and Shaley, but I didn’t really get into them until after they were gone. Kinda bummed about that
Not completely sure why, but I'm really feeling the beauty of this song at the beginning of 2021. I can't believe this will be 10 years old this year. To all the people whose junior high and high school years were defined by this kind of stuff, I hope you're doing well 🤘❤
I'm in my mid 30's and I've been rocking these guys for ten years now... My 20's were the best for concerts and making memories with amazing people in my life.
It's crazy that such a short song, could be so lyrical, and powerful, and emotional. For so many YEARS I have been hearing this song and it to this day CONTINUES gives me mad chills throughout my body, every damn time. This song, will always be my absolute, favorite song. Ever. And when I meet Shayley one of these days I'm just going to hand him a check, and say thank you for first of all, this song and the rest of his heavenly music, and for inspiring/helping me, to live a happy life, with no fucks given.
@@levilively8643 You're right, sort of. You could create this, and the entire discog of OMAM for that matter. It's not difficult creating. aww.... that is so beautiful. just like you. don't worry, i'm not some creepy old dude. i'm a young girl just trying to make her way in the world while making people smile :)
Savannah Alexandra I know how you feel darling, especially when I found out Austin was baptized over the summer, I was crying a little hearing my first song Second & Sebring.
This was Shayley Bourget singing. I think them losing him was as much or even more heartbreaking than Austin. But now they're both gone. Shayley left because of severe depression.. emotional trauma can be as bad or worse than physical
Still here after 11 years .. was in middle school jamming this album, buying it at Hastings, downloading it to my Xbox, playing Skate 2, and having this on repeat… i put this music onto so many people in my life from siblings, parents, friends, and the people i met along the way… been a wild fucking ride and it continues. Thanks OM&M especially Shay &’ Austin🙌🏽
Shayley has an orgasmic voice from the soft vocals, to the on and off screams. Even in Dayshell. Perfect example; This song for those soft vocals, and I owe you nothing for the screams. ;)
This song's title just came to me at random the other day. I was a Sophomore in high-school whenever I first heard it, and wanted desperately to have someone to sing and dedicate it to. I've been graduated for nearly four years now, and I still want that. Now more than ever.
Just replaying the shit out of this, while waiting for a new song to be uploaded by them...or just await their album...2 and a half months listening to this..not a problem at all!2 Years now..still feels like its the first time I heard this masterpiece..thank you Of Mice & Men...
+Peyton Martin thats exactly what makes it so perfect about it. listen to the lyrics...and just imagine wanting more of something that you can't have "it has to be you, love, i've been dreaming of" but not quite actually being able to have it
And thank you, Topaz, for being my soulmate, for 32 years. Our kids, our grandbabies... God how I miss you. I'll never forget our journey. And now my journey back to you. Thank you for encouraging music in our house always. Happy birthday baby... on what would've been 59 years for you. I loved you at 16....I love you at 53.
One of the most beautiful and powerful songs I have ever heard. I listen to it every night to remind me of how good some songs are. Along with every other song (let's face it Of Mice & Men have never produced a bad song) especially Second & Sebringit is something that will stay with me forever. If only people had voices like Shayley...
I had their album for a while now and been skipping the calm songs, I wanted to listen to the heavy music. I left it to play nonstop one time, while taking a walk, and heard this for the first time. I didn't understand (or cared to understand at first) the lyrics, but DAMN ! As you've said, Goosebumps like crazy every time I listened to it ! This song became an instant favorite.
Ro man the last "yeaahh" that Shayley does is amazing!! That's where I get the goosebumps. I've tried and have come close to getting it...it's hard lol. Instant favorite for me too 😄
This song solidifies the reason why I miss Shayley in Of Mice & Men. Dayshell is a great band, but this is the band in where he blossomed into what he is today. Much respect, Shayley. You're a tremendous bundle of talent.
I've heard this song at least 1,000 times and it will never get old. This is one of the greatest things ever made. Bless you, Shayley... That voice... :D

Eddie Adams it is. He also is the one who wrote this. And when you can't sleep at night.
That perfect moment where Shayley's and Austin's voices collide....
Still one of the best songs I've heard. Well written. 15yrs gone so fast😢
