Great find and video! Our family traveled on a 5 hour trip and I put potatoes and chorizo on to cook in the roadpro when we left our home and it was cooking using the car plug. We stopped 1 hour into our trip at Valley of Fire for our breakfast and the potatoes were very well done. While at the park I used 2 butane burners to fry eggs and heat up tortillas and we had a great breakfast. Before getting on the road again I put a good chunk of pork loin to cook for making tortas once we arrived at our destination and the meat was nice and tender and ready to eat after we setup our camping. This definitely a great tool to have for easy cooking.
I read the description on the site, saw 12v/144w and stopped. I've been searching for low power cooking appliances for a 1000wh power station, and I saw 600/700w hot plates, 1000w single burners, but never thought I'd break 500, but 144?!?! Heck yeah
tyracker 584 You can cook with just about all power stations with a 10 amp 12 volt cig port using a 12 volt rice cooker. There`s a "12 volt mini rice cooker" on Ama**n that`s green and white with a cartoon cat or panda face on it that I use. It uses 20% of my Golabs r300 battery to cook a cup of dry rice. Price has more than doubled on them since I got the two I have. Still worth it. They`re 12 to 24 volts, 100 watts, so they can even be wired directly to a 100 watt panel for "free" cooking for many years. I have a Road Pro 12 volt pan that`s about 165 watts I think. I plan to try it with a 190 watt solar panel. I`ll be living in a camper soon and I hope to use my solar for the majority of my cooking. My relatives think I`m crazy for buying all the prepping stuff but I`ll at least have SOME electricity for a very long time no matter what happens. I`m on SSI and depending on an evil government that hates me so self sufficiency is very important and I`m doing my best to cover all the bases...power, food, shelter, and clean water.

These do not work on newer car power ports as they do not have enough power to support the stove. 10amps is insufficient. 12amps is the minimum as longs as nothing else is connected and being used on the same circuit, Based on his watts reading from the Jackery it consumes over 12 amps peak. I have mine directly fed into the battery with a 20 amp fuse and 14 awg wire. Trucks especially older ones have a higher rating on the power ports.
I LOVE this vid. I calculated everything I would need to power, then bought the next stage UP (240) for future add-ons. Now I want to buy an electric stove like yours. One problem, the DC-in is different from anything you can buy so you MUST get a Jackery input and pay to splice to a standard jack.
You can buy this stove at any truck stop and it will plug right into a jackery.. it's really a nice little 12v lunchbox stove.. I'm really impressed with it.. thanks for watching 👍
That is very cool so.. 75%... so about 25 to cook it.... so could you cook more than one thing at a time? Plug more that one thing in at a time? Asking for a friend😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
This particular jackery only has one 12 volt port so you can only run that but you could probably put a couple things inside of it to cook at the same time
Yes with a jackery and road pro the possibilities are endless... Pair the jackery up with a solar panel and you'll always have a way to cook anywhere anytime!👍 Thanks for watching...
I must admit I'm pretty impressed with this lunchbox stove that runs on 12v .. I really expected this to take so much longer... I'm definitely going to try cooking more things in this... Thanks for watching Deb 👍
I have an 80 watt portable electric lunch box from Amazon. I experimented with cooking pork belly from raw in it yesterday. First I cooked two slices for 2.5 hours and it turned out pretty good. Then I cooked three more slices for about 4 hours and it was more tender. I would love to see what kind of results you get in your ROADPRO for cooking meat from raw.
I bought a flashfish 200, it powered the oven for about 2 minutes, then it self destructed. Literally, it self destructed. It sparked on the inside and destroyed its self. It wasn't the ovens fault, It had a defect. Surprise surprise I couldn't return it because it was a hazard so I wasted all that money on it. Now I have a solar panel with nothing to charge except my phone, thinking about getting one of these Jackery 240s. How has it held up and have you done more with cooking in this oven? How long does it last before it runs out of power?
Yes I've done more cooking with it and the jackery is probably top of the line as far as power stations go. I would definitely recommend a jackery. I tried to cook with my TechNet and it done the same thing shut down immediately! So in my opinion jackery is probably about the best
@@71filter I use a step down 12v dc to dc converter and my 9 amp ryobi tool battery. works well. total cost 15$, battery not included of coarse :) it only last about an hour and 15 mins on one battery. I can swap out the battery and chargerthe dead battery on the fast charger.
$6 at goodwill! Thats a great find!

I'm glad this video was helpful 👍 thank you very much for watching !!😁

Don't you love when you have the tools, THEN get the idea? One project transforms into two solutions!
Dude! You got a killer deal on that stove! Jealous!
Great demonstration.
Thanks for watching 👍 I really appreciate it!

Is that just a regular loaf pan? or are those the ones designed to fit in there?
@@ucfsub just a regular dollar tree loaf pan... Don't get on Amazon and pay too much for them just go to the dollar tree 👍 thanks for watching 👍😁
Excellent video. Are you using the standard Road Pro (12 Amp) or the Deluxe (15 Amp)? Thanks.
I'm using the standard 12 amp. Thanks for watching 👍
Can you cook a RAW boneless chicken breast in there
I've not tried that yet but I'm quite sure you could but the cook time would be a little longer than normal 👍 thanks for watching
Bob wells did raw chicken tenders
