Actually, you're too young to see much difference with this product. I'm 76 and NuFace has almost completely gotten rid of my sagging jowls. My bags are gone. I had a vertical line under my right eye which is gone. My skin looks fantastic. I started using the NuFace in November 2021 and am amazed at the great results!
I was thinking the same thing! I use NuFace (I'm 59) and I definitely notice a difference in my beginning jowls. If you are young and have nothing really to improve, then you won't see much, if any, difference. With age comes wisdom!
Thank you for sharing your experience. Just turned 50 and trying to get feed back on the Nuface. I’m going to start using mine! No offense to these dermatologist, but most of them on TH-cam are so young… somethings you have to live through to know what works!
Personally, I love the device and I do see a difference when I use it consistently. I think that anyone under 45 cannot appreciate the subtle differences it makes. When you have all your collagen and elastin, it's difficult to see results. However, when you reach a certain age (I'm 51) you will see the difference a little microcurrent can make. It's also fantastic for puffy eyes.
I agree with what you said. I’m 50 and I love mine. It just adds toning to my face and I can tell after I use it. I use mine about 3 times a week to maintain.
@@kirstykelly-brown2692 Thank you.. I'm 42 and waiting on my Clareblend. Hoping I didn't waist my money. I use Retin A ..I'm trying everything before I brake down and do botox.. I hate ther thought of using toxins to improve my appearance..Something about it doesn't make sense to me..I'm an all natural kind of lady.
Absolutely agree. Dr. Dray has gorgeous, lifted skin.. but she is also not over 50. I'm 55 and I love using this for a mild to medium temporary lift.. I can't wait for Dr. Dray to get in to her 50's lol..😋
I’m 52 and have to concur with a lot of the people around my age and older…I can see a difference when I use my NuFace Trinity everyday. Yes, the effect is temporary, but it reduces any eye puffiness and also gives my face a little lift for the day (eyelids, jowls, laugh lines) It’s a time commitment, but it’s become part of my daily ritual.
@@jrrm7869OMG. I got rid of my jowls and my neck looks fabulous at 65. Jowls and chicken neck look horrible and will use it as long I can lift my arms.
Any thoughts on the attachment options and if worth a try using those too? I’ve only tried the actual nuface device only but not any of the attachments.
Thanks for your input. Do you use it in the morning so that the results is seen during the day or do you use it at night and you wake up with the same result as before going to bed ? I like to know if I need to change my morning routine .
@jrrm7869 Hi, The Nuface and similar microcurent devices like Bear do give temporary lifting results, but not in the genuine sense of the word. It's not like the skin is lifted for some hours afterwards and then returns to how it was, it works in the way going to the gym or working out does- the muscles are toned, and skin appears firmer and lifted so long as one continues regularly using the device/s. Just like working one's body with exercise and weights, those effects are only temporary in as much as when stopped, muscle tone returns to its former state. I hope that helps, as I was initially put off by the "temporary" aspect of the results.
I’m 64 and DEFINITELY see improvement using NuFace, especially my jawline, upper lip and eyebrows. It helps with sagging and my skin just looks more energized and healthy. I’ve been using it for several years. If I stop using it for a couple of weeks I notice a big difference and look older. You are probably too young to see an improvement. It works for me!
Its like exercising the body...you stop exercise you lose results....you stop moisturizing your skin turns dry.......personally i think 5 mins a day are worth the results
@@oldgloryhillfarmturtlewoma9132 So you've only washed your face once in your life, or moisturized, brushed your teeth, or done just one workout? It's called maintenance. If you want permanent, get plastic surgery - and even then, things will change.
I just want to add some things, I have the mini at home and got so so results. Last week I went to an esthetician who used the same nuface device during a facial and wow-- what a difference. 3 factors that I noticed : 1) it was applied during w/ steam mist which is useful w/ hyaluronic acid gel 2) I was laying down (I think neck and head position/gravity matters in the movement of fluid), and the way she started gliding at the neck and worked her way up along the jawline to the temples. Much better results from what I can tell.
I use a microcurrent on my face and it changed the shape of my face, adding contours to my normally chubby face. People who have thin faces with no real visible drooping or fat will not see any real differences. The more you use, the longer your changes last.
I’ll be 30 in a few days and I’ve been using NuFace for a few months and I’ve noticed a subtle difference but everyone else has noticed a big difference 😂 a few people have asked me if I lost weight or did anything to my face. I’m already average/slim so it’s funny to get those reactions it must be doing something 😂I will continue to use it.
As a breast cancer survivor, I greatly appreciate you mentioning about active cancer cells and the possible risks in using micro current devices. I just purchased the FOREO Bear and I have to return it because the device doesn’t work. I’m very happy I stumbled upon your video. I’m certainly going to return my FOREO Bear for a refund instead of an exchange. Thank you for your honesty greatly appreciate the research you do.
I've been using the Gua Sha stone, and my results are better than all those months I used the NuFace. You may want to look in to this since it is completely natural ♥
With respect as well - your face is pretty wrinkle free. I just started it and my husband thought I had Botox on my forehead. I am over 60 and think it’s a great home treatment asset to skin care routine. I plan to use it daily.
I've been using this for two years since I was 67, and the results are very subtle but enough for me. I use it for about 20 minutes every day to several times a week. I love it. I've found the combination of this, Retin A and red light therapy (Omnilux), have made my skin beautiful. I also had my dermatologist remove ALL of my brown spots using liquid nitrogen, not lasers. I receive compliments on a regular basis.
Please could you post before and after pictures somewhere or link if you have them somewhere. It’s not that I don’t believe you but I would love to see the results so I can get my mom this product and convince her with evidence to use it. Since she complains about her mature skin but won’t do anything about it.
I have used my New Face for two years and do see a difference. That being said I am in my 50s. I don’t think younger people would necessarily see as noticeable differences. The improvements are gentle lifts and not something dramatic and not permanent. The company tells you this. That it isn’t permanent isn’t necessarily a criticism. You could say it’s no different than exercise, which also won’t result in permanent changes unless maintained. Believing you can get dramatic results from an at home device is a bit pie-in-the-sky, in my opinion. Various approving agencies never allow them to be as powerful as professional devices, for one thing. But that doesn’t negate that some do help. It’s just about adjusting expectations, then deciding if the costs are worth it for you. Personally, I don’t use their gel as it’s ridiculously expensive. I go to a medical supply store and get regular conducting gel, which is about $2.99 for 500 ml. If you are looking for something that helps improves appearance that is non invasive then it may be worth it to you. I haven’t tried fillers, but as my face deflates in sections I may consider it. For me it provides a refreshment in my appearance, which is satisfying. So it is worth the initial investment.
I definitely see the diff in your before and after. Your skin looks firmer(fuller where it counts) and face appears more angular; as well your eyes look more lifted.
I agree with others. I am 56 and have seen quite a difference with regular use, specially with my hooded eyelids and the lines from my nose to the corners of my mouth. I even saw a return of the small dimples I had when I was younger!
Same age here same reply, it gave me my lips back too. Back when I THOUGHT I needed these things never saw any results. I didn’t realize back then that was at good as it gets. Now I can use my toys, hehehehe
I love it! If you have a young face and no winkles you will not be able to tell the difference but for people with older skin it does make a huge difference when used consistently. You do you have use nearly everyday for the first 60, then go into maintenance mod.
I was so excited you gave this a try. Please try a radio frequency device next. I use the Foreo Bear and like it for that daily lift and glow. For a 3 minute process I don’t mind having to do it daily. But I’m contemplating whether a man RF device would be worth adding to the mix.
I also have the bear and completely agree - I don't mind using it every day for a few minutes. Haven't had any problems with it, and I've noticed that it also helps me with my sore jaw from clenching in the morning though.
I agree with everyone on here, with more mature skin. I'm now turning 54 and I have seen a huge difference while using Nuface consistently. I also love the Nuface Fix. This little guy has helped my aging, thinning lips look fuller when I need them to. The Nuface line is definitely for more mature skin otherwise you will not see a big difference. To those under 45, be lucky, you don't need something like this line right now...... But.. you will..
Any thoughts on the attachment options and if worth a try using those too? I’ve only tried the actual nuface device only but not any of the attachments.
I have tried the Foreo mini. I use pure Aloe Vera gel as a conductor. I think it might have made a slight difference with smokers lines on my lips (I don't smoke - it's age!) It looked like you used that device over your thyroid - I thought that was a no-no. Thanks for your videos.
I agree with no no part, I have noticed it too. Bear has helped me in a way that it did boost my skin a bit and made fine lines less noticeable. I think it is stronger than NuFace and I don't even use it daily..
Great video...I ended up in the emergency room after using the NuFace. I am 67 and in good health but it caused me to have heart spasms. I also feel the Nuface just swells the tissue and therefore hey, all that swelling makes your wrinkles look better...so I would no way recommend the Nuface to anybody...but especially women over 60! My doctor has also told me there may be a link to the Nuface and stroke...so I wish more research could be done. Love to you, Sues
I agree with all the other comments, Dr. Dray is young and has a toned beautiful skin. I’ve been using it religiously and I notice my skin more toned, wrinkles are more subtle. I love using my NuFace for 5 mins daily, it is my “spa” time, then I complete my nightly routine and I feel great after dedicating some time to myself.
As a skin care professional myself, I find nuface to be a great prophylactic for future skin sagging and elastin loss. You can see the difference in people who do and don’t use it
This is a really good point. A lot of skin care is preventative. Unfortunately we dont have a control against ourselves to really be able to see a difference, but that doesnt mean it's not working.
@@nikki1400 when you use it enough, it gives you a botox like effect. My forehead is tight and doesn't move if I use it the night before. My facial muscles are also more lifted. And skin looks tighter. I have been using nuface since I was 26, am 31 now. People think I'm 22-24.
I just bought it, after the first treatment I saw already a noticeable difference, after my second treatment, I was blown away. My chin area looked right away more chiseled, my cheeks look smaller. I am 59, and it made a HUGE difference when it comes to tightening and elasticity of my skin right from the get go. I see no results for the wrinkles, but after just 2 treatments it might be too soon. I wished I had invested in this years ago.
I am 63 and the new face has definitely worked for me . An improvement around my jowls , neck and marionette lines . My friends and family can also see it so it’s not my imagination thank goodness. I think maybe this device works better if you have a problem . I would recommend it .
I can't be the only person who thinks there was a noticeable improvement in the after pic, beyond just lighting changes. Also, going back to older videos from before she started using this, her skin seems to look better. Her forehead seems to crease less when she raises her eyebrows, and her skin looks brighter and more even. I've been very skeptical of NuFace devices, but weirdly I think this sold me on them more than anything else I've watched.
I appreciate your honesty. Please keep it this way. Unlike other influencers who get sponsored or suggest without any research, you are different and that make people view your video.
It would mean more if she tested in on a 50+ yr old woman. Research or not, she's got nothing to lift on that young, tight face, so her lack of results don't mean squat visually.
thats the thing shes not an influencer ..i believe she a dermatologist and doesnt get paid just for this...thats y i watch her alot..she just tells u like it is if u like it or not,ive been upset a time or two..lol just wanted it to be what it wasnt...yes shes the real deal holyfield...
Using the Sonic brush. I even used the sensitive brush and experienced a few petechiae scattered on my face. They’d clear up. Stopped using it. Didn’t need more broken capillaries.
I hear you, the effects are definitely temporary. But when I did half my face and asked my husband who thinks my entire skin care regimen is ridiculous if he saw a difference, he emphatically said, absolutely! I notice the biggest difference above my eyes- as in my one eyebrow is noticeably higher and more arched on the side I do first, compared to the untreated side. I agree it’s temporary, however I put my skin care, sunblock and altreno lotion on everyday. I wouldn’t expect to see their results from one time use, nor do I expect them to work if I don’t use them everyday. So I use that same perspective into my maintenance usage of my Nuface and my NIR light therapy mask.
My facial exercises have the same effect. In fact, when I went for my follow-up after eye bag surgery, the surgeon thought he (or his staff) had also done botox on me! Nope, I had just done my facial exercises that morning!
I have hooded eyelids and use the ELE attachment, there is definitely a visible difference after treatment. It’s not a permanent change but I do it in the morning and it seems to last throughout the day which is good enough for me.
Question for Dr. Dray- I recently got my first Botox for crow’s feet. I asked my derm PA about contraindications related to using my microcurrent therapy device in that area. She admitted she knew nothing about microcurrent therapy and just advised me to hold the microcurrent therapy for 2 weeks after the Botox. But here’s my question: if Botox works to relax the muscle that’s repeated use/contraction causes the wrinkles, then “theoretically” doesn’t the Nuface do the opposite by making the muscle contract? Does the Nuface help with crow’s feet? Or should that area be avoided completely and if not, is it actually counteracting the Botox in that area?
_..."I put my skin care, sunblock and altreno lotion on everyday. I wouldn’t expect to see their results from one time use, nor do I expect them to work if I don’t use them everyday."_ *So true!* Thanks!! ⚡️
I’ve been using NuFace for the past 3 yrs and I’m happy with the results I get specially on my jewels . I definitely get a slimmer face after I use it, but definitely you have to be committed to do it every single day and you will see results if you don’t have much laxity on your face.
I think as others commented it is for those over 40/50 where the skin begins to sag. I am 62 and have used mine for a bit less than a year but have had noticeable improvement in my jowl area and on my sagging eyelid and brow area. My husband comments often and several friends have asked if I had done something such as an eye lift.
@@kani9284 Her face obviously isn't sagging so obviously she isn't gonna see a difference simply because she doesn't even have the problem that nuface is made for...
I'm 47 and have been using NuFace for almost 10 years. I do see a difference when used consistently around my jaw and cheek area. It is a subtle difference but I have to say my face just looks better with regular use. I also don't use their gel, regular body lotion has worked just fine for me, right now I'm using Lubriderm. As always, thanks for the review Dr. Dray! Love hearing your insight!
@@nabilaeladla3401 If using regularly, every day or every other day at least, the results are always noticeable to me. If I stop using it I notice a change within a couple of days. It really is about consistent use.
Dr. Dray, I've used mine regularly for years and the lift is temporary, but worth it for me. I've noticed it does a great job lifting the brows. I would very much appreciate a review on a radiofrequency device. Thank you!
Same here!!!! Would love to see what she thinks. I’m 35 and am trying so hard to keep the 35 year old face as long as I can without any shots or any of that stuff. I don’t want to put anything in my body.
I have been using this device for years and only have to have Botox in my forehead once a year . The device has been a huge game changer for me -I also use radio frequently and LED masks - I believe all these devices are amazing and do make a difference if used consistently
I completely agree with you, the results are temporary. This product is great for wedding day or other special events where you want that extra snatched look. However, where I saw the biggest “results” were in my acne scarring! Maybe because the skin tightens and the “pots” or “holes” stretch?? Whatever the reason, my face looks amazingly smooth after each use!!! Even friends have noticed.
With all respect Dr. You have no sagging at your age. I’m 66 and feel that it does slightly firm my face and neck so I will continue using it every morning 💕
I have been using mine for over year. I can now just use it three times a week to maintain. I have one droopy lid and it helps even out my eye lids look.
I love my nuface. I'm 51 and use it daily, we know our own faces and can tell when something makes a difference. I've great skin already, never smoked, never drank and use sunscreen so I am coming into it with minimal aging...but, can tell a difference in firming.
We have 42 muscles in our face and 43 with our neck. I teach my clients to use those muscles and work them out or lose then. I have used my Nuface for decades and I swear by it. Consistency is key just like working out. I prefer using it at night. I’m sorry you didn’t love it. We also use professional micro current in our 3 holistic skin care salons and we have actually helped clients with Bells Palsy. In Europe they use micro current as a “ facelift “ without surgery and I absolutely believe it because I see it every day with clients, actually over the years with hundred of thousands of clients. I do think the conducting gels are a money grab and I have always told my clients to simply use their moisturizers and serums. Keep trying it Andrea. 🍑🧡🙌🏻Lisa

I have the NuFace and it was purchased as a Christmas gift. I think if you older you might see different results. You are right that it doesn’t last in that you have to keep using. It has really helped my hooded eyes which made it worth the time to use them. I also use a red light mask and I do love this as it has really made my age spots diminished. Thanks 😊
I have a myolift mini, and love it! From what I understand, there's no way to know if you're getting conductivity with the Nu Face. The myolift tells you if you're getting conductivity or not. Also, concerning the gel, I have been using ultrasound gel. This gel is SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper than the gel the myolift comes with. It also doesn't dry as fast.
I concur with her review. I "inherited" a Nuface Trinity about 9 months ago, and used it nearly every day for the first 4 months or so. Then moved to 3-4x per week. The upkeep and time commitment for this thing is exhausting. It says only "5 minutes", but you have to factor in the additional time it takes to wash your face, apply the gel, rewash face, etc. It's messy and annoying. The entire process takes at minimum 20 minutes for me. I recently stopped using it and I feel FREE for the first time in awhile lol. I think it may be beneficial for those who have older, sagging skin (50+) for a slight temporary lifting effect, but for me, I'm 34 and I'm only concerned about fine lines. I didn't notice any marked improvement in the area of fine lines and the overall effect was subtle, if any, and it's likely that no one else noticed. And yeah, if you stop using it, there are ZERO benefits. Realistically, I just don't want to be "married" to this thing for the rest of my life. It's not worth the hassle. Also, if you're curious, several dermatologists have reviewed it on TH-cam, and the overall consensus among them is that the effects/benefits of the Nuface are minimal.
Iv been using the Nuface off and on since my early twenties so I feel like I can make a fair assessment and the truth is it does work. I felt I got a more dramatic difference in my early twenties as compared to now but I still do see a difference right after. Now if you use it consistently I don’t know but I would assume it would give amazing results. I usually used it before dates/events as a temporary thing. If I do facial yoga for 10 minutes and then use the Nuface right after I see really good results I think combining those two things is the way to go if you really want dramatic results. Unfortunately I think if the skin is too saggy this device might not work and u might need a professional session but overall it does work. If a man can notice and ask u why your eyebrows look different then u know it’s working lol
I have the NuFace and it’s fine to use a standard ultrasound gel for sensitive skin. It also says in the booklet to avoid the centre of the neck where the thyroid gland is.
I used this everyday for about a year. After about 6 months of use I saw minimal results that lasted throughout the 24 hour period. However, for the time and dedication it took the results were not worth it. I did notice a tiny bit of laxity change…and I mean tiny! But my skin tone and texture looked better. But again, the amount of time invested into this it is not worth it. I think the Osmosis products gave me better results with out hours and hours of shocking my face.
I'm 55 and have been using nuface mini for a year. Results very subtle. However,I would say the device definitely makes a difference in the skin complexion for sure.Fresher more even skin tone.
Thank you for your honest review. I'm 77 and have been using Nu Face faithfully for a year and a half. I wanted my jowls reduced...I honestly see no difference. Thanks again for validating my feelings on the lack of results.
I do appreciate Dr Drays channel and watch it often but I agree with others that young skin probably won’t see a change. I am 67 and just started using this device and although it is too early to see a change, I can feel a change under my skin. I will continue to give it a chance to work on my mature skin. I am encouraged after reading the comments.
Dr. Dray I use pure aloe Vera gel. Works just fine. I also pass 4-5 times. It definately helps tighten muscles up and of course this is temporary. With my hooded eye, it is improved. Again, I have to use daily to keep results . Thank you again for the truth!! Xo

I had NuFace for years. but when it stopped working one day I tried the NRGY and love it so much more! it has a stronger current you can really feel working and price is much better ($150.00 with coupon code from another youtubers channel)...also like the shape better its easier to hold. I believe it shows results same with my Omnilux laser mask both have to be used consistently and I think these at home devices are great for aging skin!! they are an investment but so worth it...I'm 58 and have noticed a big difference with lines disappearing and firmer skin.💗
I’m an esthetician and I use NuFace and see a difference. I also use tape/face patches on my face while I sleep. I had Botox done 3 x between 2019 and 2021 but it’s expensive and I’m trying out a more natural way. Being an esthetician, I do regular chemical peels, Hydrafacials and Microneedling also.
I have been using the NuFace Trinity Pro (a little stronger than the regular Trinity) for over 2 years. I have definitely seen results from it. It lifts and chisels my cheeks. My daughter who is in her 20's noticed the difference and bought the mini one to help lift her brows. I have used the Nuface gel but the price is ridiculous. I use Ultrasound gel with a little salt sprinkled on it and I mist my face with SmartWater if it starts to get dry while using. My first unit stopped working after 3-4 months. I sent it back and they sent me a new one that has been working great. But, they didn't send back the attachment that came with it and basically blew me off when I e-mailed them about it. I used mine everyday for a long time. Now, just 3 times a week.
@@seacoastsis627 it is supposed to help with conductivity. Adding salt is mentioned in DIY conductive gel recipes. Salt thins the gel so I try not to add too much.
We use electrical stim routinely in physical therapy for muscle stimulation for strength, pain and for Bell’s palsy to keep muscles viable while recovering. We even use microcurrent for pain control on the ear on acupuncture points for pain. Of course frequencies and intensities varies for each specific type of treatment we are doing and what our goals are. I use the trinity and use aqua sonic ultrasound gel for the best conduction. It also decrease tingling if that’s uncomfortable for anyone.
I would like to thank all the women of a certain age who added your comments, because of these I just placed an order for the Nuface device. I have wondered for some time now if I should try it, well I turn 62 in a few weeks so I decided it was time to do this for me. Many thanks to all of you.
I used the NuFace PRO for several months consistently and it did improve and lifted my face. I stopped using it, only occasionally and it went back to how it was (or worse). I am now using the Gua Sha, that cost me $7.00 on Amazon, and doing a quick, 5 min. or less routine twice daily and it is lifting parts of my face that this $400 + device never did! I am amazed and delighted to say the least!
I’m eager for you to review Omnilux mask too! I’m going to hold off on NuFace, and hope you’ll like Omnilux better. You are the *only* authority I trust about all things skin care.
I got mine in March from Sophora. I love it. I think it counters my face for sure. For me, it lasts at least a week or so. I highly recommend the device.
Also, I do many more passes on my face than she is doing. I have it on the highest setting, and do 3 sets of 3 passes in all areas, and I focus more on my problem areas, doing both gliding as well as press-and-hold. I also do vertical and horizontal both. You have to tailor it to your needs.
Aaaamen. I do more passes on the lower side of my face and I follow the direction of the fibers with a printed poster of _Human Facial Muscles_ while learning all the names.😅 After three years, I could get an A+ in anatomy and my eyelid space is way more symmetrical. 🧛🏻♀️🖤
Thank you for trying this for us Dr. Dray. Truly appreciated. :-) Your results remind me of when I used bee venom cream several years ago. My face looked and felt smoother, tighter and wrinkles appeared less noticeable. However, it was just a temporary inflammation (for lack of a better term), reaction of the skin. The next day it was back to sag and bag. :-/ I wish there were data or some kind of study on this type of skin treatment to once and for all prove one way or the other if it works and to what degree.
I used to work as a beautician when I was younger, like 17 years ago. One time, we travelled to Brunei and I had the honor to do facial treatment on a sister in the royal family. I was doing an electric current treatment (standard one, it was nothing fancy really) on a side of her face very properly and didnt notice the time. My boss nudged me to hurry it up so I had to rush and finish treating the other side of her face. As a result, I could clearly see the rushed side was droopy compared to the one which I treated with extra care (visibly lifted and tightened) 😅 It was so obvious to me looking downward from above her head on the spa bed and that's how I know that very basic treatment with an electric current pen actually has some merit, (although it's surely a temporary effect)
At 46 I've only used it a week but its making changes and I actually get a slight anount of puffiness afterwards that goes away. It brings a lot of color to my face and appears to be helping the collegen. I like it a lot so far. Thanks for the review ❤
My dermatologist told me it’s a temporary inflammation of muscles … like as you said similar to post work out. Muscle goes back to the way it was before. No real improvements. Save money for in office procedures that deliver real lasting results. 😊. Thanks for your honest review. The only at home device that works is LED is working well for me to address aging / dark spots.
I love my NuFace. It works the muscles under the skin, and I see improvement in brightness, and a subtle difference in firmness. I also don't think the results diminish as fast as you mentioned here. They do diminish, but it takes a week to two weeks before I see that. I used it 5x per week for 2 months, and then twice per week to maintain. Perhaps your results are not the norm? I know you're younger, but, there are 20somethings raving about NuFace online, so some must be doing well.
For me it really took 5 years of my face making me look I'm 22 again. Lifting my eyebrows, cheeks etc. There are better ways to use it as shown on their TH-cam videos except than only gliding it. You can use it vertically as well below your eyebrows and also pressing it underneath your cheekbones for lifting that area of your face. Much better results than the currentbody mask I've bought. Also seen long lasting results.
I had the opposite result, but I'm 55 yrs old. I used the Nuface for about 6 months and saw almost no changes except a bit on my neck. About 2 yrs later I started using Omnilux (like Currentbody). Within 4 months, people began stopping me at work to ask what the heck I was doing to make my skin so beautiful 😅 I think it might really depend on our skin concerns, severity, etc. I certainly have a lot more sagging than you at 27, so the Nuface would need a jet engine to lift these jowls 😂 But the Omnilux actually evened my skintone and lessened the jowls, which obviously made a big difference. You could see the change even wearing foundation every day. It's just too bad we both had to spend so much money to find what works for us! 😢
what is going on with your face at 27? I am 29, have only just notices changes! Yes, freshness of the early 20ies is no longes there after 25, but still isnt it too early for the signs of deformation such as droopiness and loss of elasticity?
I’m adding a thought to my earlier comment - the fact that NuFace advises using it regularly implies that they know the device doesn’t create lasting results. On a person who’s young like Dr Dray and has very good skin-not showing signs of aging-then it stands to reason that she wouldn’t see drastic changes. For a person like myself, nearly 70-also with healthy skin but certainly not that of a 35 year old, improvements are happily accepted.
I think...getting older (I’m 74 yrs old and don’t look too bad)..I certainly notice how I’m aging. But..aging...is part of everyone’s life..so I find ‘acceptance’ is key to growing old and surviving the unpredictability of life...and getting thru it. 💖👍
I appreciate your honesty. I saw no difference and used it consistently according to instructions. Looking forward to your review on the MBK Curve. Thank you.
I got a mini on sale 6 months ago & it’s still sitting around unopened. I just tried the gel on my forearm & it turned bright red. It’ll be re-gifted to a family member I don’t especially like. 😀
I didn't have a negative response to the conductive gel. I do see a difference when I use mine. I'm responding on your note because I too purchased a mini at a discount :-)
I have the nuface mini. I use it for my slightly hooded eyes. To lift them up. It does work, but goes away like you said after several hours. But I like to use it before events or special evenings just for that little lift and tightening of my face.
The effect goes away after several hour on the first months. I' ve been using microcurrents for 3 years and the mu muscles are constantly tonified. With mantainance, of course. The same will happen to my legs if I stop running 3 times a week😅. Stick to it and the more you use it, the more you' ll enjoy improvements🧛🏻♀️🖤
I love my Nuface and I'm 66 and do see a difference but I have to do it at least 4 to 5 times a week probably because I'm older. I did see a slight lifting on your after pic but you do not have any sagging or fine lines so your not going to see as much of a result as I see. I've done the Myolift Mini and love it but I don't always have that kind of time so Nuface is perfect. Those of us that have used Nuface for awhile tend to love it. The good news is it's not going to hurt anything and it does help with product penetration. I also do the NEWA as well as the Nira and each one helps.
I just started using Nuface. Only on day 3. So far I'm pleased. As for Dr. Dray's before and after images, I saw an improvement!!! Looking forward to seeing major results
I’m so glad I watched your video! I almost bought this on a good sale this week. Thank you for saving me money! I’m 62 and most of my skin loss and sagging seems consistent with the other issues you explained, and not due as much to muscle tone loss. 😁
I am 32 years old woman and I noticed the difference. It is subtle but enough to keep me happy with results. And yes you need to be consistent, but I agree with Dr Dray that it depends on the person and age. Because to me it last a few days. I love it!!! Highly recommended. I use it on the low to medium setting and it is enough for me. The high is too much for me. I think the most noticeable result I get is the firmness on my skin and the contour on my cheeks. And the symmetry it provides, like it gets rid of the classic “mild ptosis” most people get with age or that slight asymmetry on eyes. And I use an amazon $18 ultrasound gel. It works better for me than the nuface gel which has hyaluronic acid and it gave me some allergy.
Angie from hot and flashy has recommended the NuFace for years. And swears by it. I have the NuFace mini that I have been using for 2 years now and have noticed a slight change in my skin. I recently turned 70 and am obsessed with skincare 🥰 Also when using around your forehead especially near the hairline you definitely feel the current although not painful, that is just a more sensitive area.
@@miriamdv - I totally agree. I used to watch Angie but over time she has Botox injections, fillers etc and I stopped. I wanted advice on the efficacy of products and devices....not "Oh wow...you look so good with all that money you are able to spend from endorsing the free products you receive." I frankly think the "lifting" you might think you receive from using NuFace is in fact from the upward sweeping motions not muscle stimulation. I noted on a visit from my 76-year-old brother last year how great his skin looked. Then I recalled Christie Brinkley commenting that men's skin looks better because they shave. So I stopped the NuFace , and I didn't shave, but started using Gua Sha (or any type of tool) and put a nice oil on my face and massaged in upward motions. To my surprise, it really makes my face look better.
@@susanne9602 Yep😐 So true. Botox and fillers interfere. The only way I can truly evaluate this kind of devices is how I did on myself: I was 44-45 (how the hell people on their 20’ s can feel an improvement🤯?), no procedures done (only tretinoine) and used in one half of my face for 4-5 months😅. I have no idea or data about RF but, of course, electricity stimulates the muscles even if the person is a corpse. Consistency, consistency, consistency. Before starting the other side, I filmed a shitty video with the worst lighting and quality but it can be clearly seen that my right side went to the gym. The other didn' t. Looks and feels jelly-ish and bounces when I talk, jump or simply bend my head. Long term results after 3 years: fit zygomatics and brows + eyecrease are positioned back where I had them on my late 30' s. Also jawline and neck look pretty good keeping in mind that I' m 47. Hope my experience helped🧛🏻♀️🖤
@@susanne9602 I started using a Gua Sha with oil too as a relaxing treatment at night. I was happily surprised that it really makes my whole face look lifted and refreshed.
I purchased a spa/medical grade radio frequency machine for my home and I love it. I always thought this came out as a cute gimmick. When I want results I buy the machine the estheticians use for my home and take a training course. I see dramatic results with my spa machine. I use the nuface gel as it was recommended more than other brands when I read reviews but I find that it dries extremely fast, no irritation though. Thanks for reviewing this device.
Hi! This sounds interesting! What machine did you purchase and where did you purchase it? I am interested in RF treatments. I saw a few professional spa machines on eBay for $800.
Thanks for the review. Yes, I would be interested in ongoing reviews of devices, like other red light devices or radio frequency devices. For example, are there any newer, less expensive devices that are effective. Also reviews of any new devices for hair loss. Thanks again!
My son was prescribed a TENS Unit for treatment of Bells Palsy that developed when he was 15 yrs old. Thankfully it resolved. He said the treated side of his face had stronger muscles for months later. The Unit was used 3 times per day. He was a saxophone player and quite "in tune" to the facial musculature. Of course, a TENS Unit is considerably stronger.
This is the very best thing about your channel… cutting through the crap and giving us the truth so we don’t waste our money and time. I’m very grateful to have found you, someone I can trust, to keep me from spending money foolishly on products and devices that don’t work.
Oh it works… over 45 ? Please try it for a good 6 months and then don’t do it… take photos and see the difference… I had a Driver’s License photo taken after a treatment for 20 mins and everyone comments about how good it is.
I’m sixty four and have been using a nuface mini for a year, it has tightened my jawline, lifted my cheeks and opened my eyes. If I don’t use it it shows.
I'm firmly in the 'love it' camp. I've seen significant differences in my neck, jawline and cheeks. Their new HA gel is a big improvement on the OG, too.
Dr Dray two months is not enough, I have used microcurrent on and of for 15 years a now discontinued Integra Face System still going strong British made, and for the last 6 months every day a Nuface Mini on highest setting for 15mins doing extra moves 5mins is not enough, I don't like the Trinity, . these have overtime taken years of my 72 year old face, I have also used a Tripollar Stop RF device for 10+ years so ..YES ...it does have positive results and well worth it, I use Silver Biotics Silver Gel, or Boots tens gel with Cosrx Snail gel, I can't tell you how much I appreciate the technology available today so if you can make use of it x
Living on both continents, I think many European aesthetic products, procedures and services are better than most of what is offered here in U.S. Plus, better nutrition and physical activity in Europe, plus an overall aesthetic culture that doesn’t exist in USA. Example: Existence and availability of lymph-drainage massage all over Europe compared to spotty availability (and awareness!) here in U.S. Also target “(affluent-only) markets” and exorbitant costs in USA. These are things I miss from my life when I’m not in Europe. (In this comment I’m deliberately ignoring brexit, by the way, LOL.) Cheers
Hi, Dr. Dray :-) Do antioxidants in sunscreen actually fight free radical damage? I'm confused because you've mentioned them and their potential to provide additional protection; however, in a previous video, you cited a study in which antioxidants in sunscreen were shown not to penetrate due to their film-forming properties. Could you please clarify/elaborate? Thanks!
@@DrDrayzday I wonder if the more elegant formulas (Korean sunscreens) are more effective in that regard, since they wear like serums and moisturizers rather than settling in a heavy film? I'm not sure if absorption and penetration are clinically equivalent, but these products do seem to sink into the skin, at least from a sensorial standpoint.
@@juliehayes4891 I've only tried a few so far, but my personal favorite is the Dr. Bio Eco Sun Moisturizer SPF50 PA++++. The "Feel Free" by Self Beauty is serum-like but heavily perfumed. The "Waterfull" by D'Alba has a lovely texture but is also very fragranced. The Dermalogy by Neogen is the only combination sunscreen I've tried that doesn't leave a cast, but it does contain citrus oils. The Innisfree Daily UV Defense is nice but nowhere near the value of the Dr. Bio. Others on my list to try are from the brands Frudia, Holika Holika, Beauty of Joseon, A'Pieu, Lanbelle, MakePrem, Missha, Etude, Epionce, and Isntree. Hope that's helpful!
I used it about 3xs a week for about two years and it worked GREAT. I was 70 years old. I t was almost embarrassing to see someone I hadn't seen in years, they would always be amazed how good I looked. When I stopped using it during covid it took a pretty long time for results to disappear, at least 3 or 4 months and it was gradual.
I tried this device for 4 months. No change. I really disliked the gel, which dried quickly and required repeated applications ( in California),.only to be rinsed off before sunscreen. It would be great to find a way to recycle this device ♻️ 😕 going forward it's sunscreen and retina A for me.
I’m 46 and have used it in the past and it does work. You just have to be diligent about it which most people don’t want to do. I’ve started using it again and already notice a difference. I had an eyelid that was drooping slightly and it’s lifted. I don’t have significant sagging or wrinkling so I can’t speak to what it would do for that.
Medicube has 3 devices. An EMS device, Ultrasound + High Frequency device, and needle-free Dermapen. Do you think these devices are more effective than Microcurrent?
Please review the Droplette device. It was originally developed to deliver medication into the skin for a painful rare skin disease . The developers saw a way using physics to deliver skin care deeply into the skin 1600 microns deep. Their research as to whether it truly gets in is ify. The capsules are expensive . It would be great if it does work.
Penn Smith Skincare loves that thing and has done several videos on it including interviews with the creators. The capsules are expensive, not refillable and they all have fragrance.
Someone else who's reviewed it is Beauty Beyond 40 (her channel is devoted to devices). I remember Cassandra Bankson talking about it and saying she preferred the Reduit. There are also cheaper versions of something like this, nano misters.
What gel do you use?
I have A NuFace and haven't been using oh my gosh. With all the complaining I do. Uuggghhh.. You have inspired me too get back at it. Thanks guys
Right? She has nothing to even fix, no duh it did nothing
Totally agree, I’m 42 and the nuface works for me, I’ve been using since 2020 with use of Tret, spf, etc. Key is consistency with it.
Oh no. Maybe I do need this😕

If that's all the results you can expect hardly seems worth the money.
@jrrm7869
Hi,
The Nuface and similar microcurent devices like Bear do give temporary lifting results, but not in the genuine sense of the word.
Dr. Dray, please have your mom try it then let us know how it goes!
Yes girl I’m 59 n it certainly does help!!!
I’m not being a smart ass here, but how is it “working” if you start looking older in a few weeks.
If you want permanent, get plastic surgery - and even then, things will change.
too much commitment to look old in just 2 weeks.
Same here!!!!!
Good to know. Wondering if I should mix hyaluronic acid serum with my aloe jell?
@@ags1370 Not true actually...mini has same microcurrent according to NuFace site.
Thank you for sharing
@@riavanvliet799 thanks 💜
I use a microcurrent on my face and it changed the shape of my face, adding contours to my normally chubby face. People who have thin faces with no real visible drooping or fat will not see any real differences. The more you use, the longer your changes last.
What do you use
I’ll be 30 in a few days and I’ve been using NuFace for a few months and I’ve noticed a subtle difference but everyone else has noticed a big difference 😂 a few people have asked me if I lost weight or did anything to my face. I’m already average/slim so it’s funny to get those reactions it must be doing something 😂I will continue to use it.

I just purchased the FOREO Bear and I have to return it because the device doesn’t work. I’m very happy I stumbled upon your video. I’m certainly going to return my FOREO Bear for a refund instead of an exchange. Thank you for your honesty greatly appreciate the research you do.

Since she complains about her mature skin but won’t do anything about it.
when you say brown spot, what kind of spots? Little raised moles or actual melasma? Thanks
Completely agree with your observations; also in my 50's and I see the difference.
Amen to every single word! What a well articulated comment. 🧛🏻♀️🖤
Which regular conducting gel, do you use?
@@fearless6947 I would just use aquasonic that is used for ultrasound
I definitely see the diff in your before and after. Your skin looks firmer(fuller where it counts) and face appears more angular; as well your eyes look more lifted.
I agree with others. I am 56 and have seen quite a difference with regular use, specially with my hooded eyelids and the lines from my nose to the corners of my mouth. I even saw a return of the small dimples I had when I was younger!
Same age here same reply, it gave me my lips back too. Back when I THOUGHT I needed these things never saw any results. I didn’t realize back then that was at good as it gets. Now I can use my toys, hehehehe
You weren't afraid to use it on droopy eyelids? Has it affected your vision in any way?
@@loulevy1422 no not at all. I mostly focus on the brow bone area, not the movable lid.
I love it! If you have a young face and no winkles you will not be able to tell the difference but for people with older skin it does make a huge difference when used consistently. You do you have use nearly everyday for the first 60, then go into maintenance mod.
But if ur 25 can we start using it now
I was so excited you gave this a try. Please try a radio frequency device next. I use the Foreo Bear and like it for that daily lift and glow. For a 3 minute process I don’t mind having to do it daily. But I’m contemplating whether a man RF device would be worth adding to the mix.
Would be great if Dr. Dray tries a device every few months and just put the curiosity to rest 😆... Omnilux mask can be next 🙃
Dr.Dray uses RLT for her hair,
I tried an at home RF device and it caused sagging. RF melts the fat. Never again for me.

@@a3yeung yess, agreed
I agree with everyone on here, with more mature skin. I'm now turning 54 and I have seen a huge difference while using Nuface consistently. I also love the Nuface Fix. This little guy has helped my aging, thinning lips look fuller when I need them to. The Nuface line is definitely for more mature skin otherwise you will not see a big difference. To those under 45, be lucky, you don't need something like this line right now...... But.. you will..
How do you apply it to your lips without tingling the heck out of them?
Any thoughts on the attachment options and if worth a try using those too? I’ve only tried the actual nuface device only but not any of the attachments.
I have tried the Foreo mini. I use pure Aloe Vera gel as a conductor. I think it might have made a slight difference with smokers lines on my lips (I don't smoke - it's age!) It looked like you used that device over your thyroid - I thought that was a no-no. Thanks for your videos.
It is a no no
Only on sides of neck NOT over thyroid ever!!
I agree with no no part, I have noticed it too. Bear has helped me in a way that it did boost my skin a bit and made fine lines less noticeable. I think it is stronger than NuFace and I don't even use it daily..
I use my nuface on and off for a couple years. I feel it tightened my jawline some. I'm in my 60's so any improvement is welcomed 😌
You mean prevention? So does it mentain the tightness and does not make it sag more in the long run?
@@scarlettohara5096 indeed.
@@nikki1400 when you use it enough, it gives you a botox like effect. My forehead is tight and doesn't move if I use it the night before. My facial muscles are also more lifted. And skin looks tighter. I have been using nuface since I was 26, am 31 now. People think I'm 22-24.
And it’s only temporary if anything.

Yes, there _is_ a difference in her before and after. Her nasolabial folds are less pronounced in the after, her face looks softer.

Use regular aloe vera gel from health food store No irritation, save money. Just need a conductor substance.
I had the same experience. I then changed to a cica gel that costed 11 Euros for 500 ml. and that one worked fantastic

@@lorettaklugh4033 I tried this and still had issues bc it turns out aloe can be quite acidic and some people still find it sensitizing on the face.
My skeptical husband had the same reaction-said the money is very well spent!(something he rarely says(I'm 62)

*So true!* Thanks!! ⚡️
I’ve been using NuFace for the past 3 yrs and I’m happy with the results I get specially on my jewels . I definitely get a slimmer face after I use it, but definitely you have to be committed to do it every single day and you will see results if you don’t have much laxity on your face.
I have a gaunt face, don’t want it any slimmer.
How old r u, because I’ve seen older women love their results but am curious about the younger people trying it
I think as others commented it is for those over 40/50 where the skin begins to sag. I am 62 and have used mine for a bit less than a year but have had noticeable improvement in my jowl area and on my sagging eyelid and brow area. My husband comments often and several friends have asked if I had done something such as an eye lift.
but she is over 40. She is born in 1982
@@kani9284 Her face obviously isn't sagging so obviously she isn't gonna see a difference simply because she doesn't even have the problem that nuface is made for...

When you use it how long the results last?
@@nabilaeladla3401 If using regularly, every day or every other day at least, the results are always noticeable to me. If I stop using it I notice a change within a couple of days. It really is about consistent use.
Dr. Dray, I've used mine regularly for years and the lift is temporary, but worth it for me. I've noticed it does a great job lifting the brows. I would very much appreciate a review on a radiofrequency device. Thank you!
That's a wonderful idea, would love to see a detailed and in depth review with honesty👍
Same here!!!! Would love to see what she thinks. I’m 35 and am trying so hard to keep the 35 year old face as long as I can without any shots or any of that stuff. I don’t want to put anything in my body.
She had a video on radio frequency devices. It’s attached to the end of this video
Its, temporary, but does it cause more wrinkles and sagging in the long run if you stop?
@@scarlettohara5096 Not in my case.
There _is_ a difference in her before and after. Her nasolabial folds are less pronounced in the after, her face looks softer.

That would be KY jelly?

Same here, I’m 53YO and didn’t notice a difference and also got tired of the time it took.
Great review I subscribe any word. ….and my god the time commitment for the inexistent results. It really sucks.
You’re literally the only person that agrees.
Look again, there _is_ a difference in her before and after. Her nasolabial folds are less pronounced in the after, her face looks softer.
Why can’t you use over the thyroid gland?
Extra good questions and comments from the group today!!!! I love reading them 🌸🌺
I do appreciate Dr Drays channel and watch it often but I agree with others that young skin probably won’t see a change.
Xo
I use aloe vera gel too, it is less irritating for me than the gel from nuface ☺️ I think my face looks better when I use this device

I had Botox done 3 x between 2019 and 2021 but it’s expensive and I’m trying out a more natural way. Being an esthetician, I do regular chemical peels, Hydrafacials and Microneedling also.

I’ve been using for a while and love it. I’m 47 and I think as part of my routine it has helped.
I have not been impressed with their customer service. For such an expensive device, they should be treating customers better.
Curious about the salt sprinkled in? Haven’t heard of that, what does it do?
@@seacoastsis627 it is supposed to help with conductivity. Adding salt is mentioned in DIY conductive gel recipes.
Salt thins the gel so I try not to add too much.
regular tap water contains minerals, so you don't really need the salt - which can be drying/irritating
So glad you tried this device! Will you please use and review the Omnilux Contour mask? Would love to hear YOUR opinion on that - thanks Dr. Dray 😊
I just bought it 3 weeks ago and already notice a difference.
I have been using the face mask since January and i see a difference and the best benefit is lightening my huge dark spot on my cheek!
Good results I'm assuming? Have you experienced any problems after doing this method?
After using Nuface and now Foreo Bear, my face shape has completely changed. It looks chiseled and sharp now.

Thank you doctor for your honest opinion! I so appreciate it .
Hi, can I ask which currentbody mask? Is it the one in the few hundred dollar range? (300ish)
@@gategirl66 thanks for sharing your experience. I just ordered the Omnilux and I’m around your age. Hoping to also see good results. 😀
what is going on with your face at 27? I am 29, have only just notices changes! Yes, freshness of the early 20ies is no longes there after 25, but still isnt it too early for the signs of deformation such as droopiness and loss of elasticity?
No, 27 is not too early. Not that one would have hanging jowls at 27, but aging is subtly taking place. I can see it in my photos.
I completely agree
To clarify, I was agreeing Dr Dray wouldn’t notice as many changes as an older woman.

I agree! I returned mine I’m 51 seen no change. I felt it made my filler disappear in my cheeks and I looked worse. Thanks for your review.
I look worse too after using it and I'm 53
I love my Nuface and I'm 66 and do see a difference but I have to do it at least 4 to 5 times a week probably because I'm older. I did see a slight lifting on your after pic but you do not have any sagging or fine lines so your not going to see as much of a result as I see. I've done the Myolift Mini and love it but I don't always have that kind of time so Nuface is perfect. Those of us that have used Nuface for awhile tend to love it. The good news is it's not going to hurt anything and it does help with product penetration. I also do the NEWA as well as the Nira and each one helps.
I think your face looks beautiful Dr. Dray! It does appear lifted in your cheeks and fuller under your eyes.
I recently turned 70 and am obsessed with skincare 🥰
Also when using around your forehead especially near the hairline you definitely feel the current although not painful, that is just a more sensitive area.
Yes, she recommends this a lot, but she had also other treatments.
I definitely think this device should be used for people who suffer from Bells Pasly. It would be amazing if someone did a study so it can be useful.
This device does not have the power of a TENS Unit nor the attachments.

Thanks!
They can, but penetration is always a concern
@@DrDrayzday I wonder if the more elegant formulas (Korean sunscreens) are more effective in that regard, since they wear like serums and moisturizers rather than settling in a heavy film? The Dermalogy by Neogen is the only combination sunscreen I've tried that doesn't leave a cast, but it does contain citrus oils. The Innisfree Daily UV Defense is nice but nowhere near the value of the Dr. Bio. Others on my list to try are from the brands Frudia, Holika Holika, Beauty of Joseon, A'Pieu, Lanbelle, MakePrem, Missha, Etude, Epionce, and Isntree. Hope that's helpful!
P.S. You may want to check out Korean sunscreen reviews by channels like "Glow by Ramon."
Curious, how does a needle free dermapen work? Is it micro needling?
I've been thinking about buying that thing and very thankful for your review. You're the only one I trust.
It makes a difference. I’m 63 and it gives an all day lift that is subtle but seriously obvious without looking wrong. But yes it’s a daily thing.
Hot and Flashy has a great recent video review of that device.
Check out Hot and Flashy.... That thing is crap. Don't waste your money.
Someone else who's reviewed it is Beauty Beyond 40 (her channel is devoted to devices). I remember Cassandra Bankson talking about it and saying she preferred the Reduit. There are also cheaper versions of something like this, nano misters.
