The fact KK regularly did 900+ deaflifts WITHOUT A BELT is not mentionned enough. Also having Zahir and Kiryll in his corner is the ultimate avengers lineup: one of the all-time best deadlifters in history being supported by one of the best benchers and one of the best squatters in history is beautiful.

So we can all assume based on Larry’s PED use that his blood pressure may be elevated a bit more than the average person. Under huge amounts of strain his B/P could easily be in the 300s systolic when he’s lifting that kind of weight. Just for reference a normal blood pressure is around 120 and 140+ is considered a high blood pressure. Also he’s lean a hell and tends to get acne. So when that pressure rises it will take the path of least resistance, and that happened to be out the chest and all over the place.

    • @gaston6814

On the topic of lifters who are great at geared and raw lifting: Agata Sitko is a polish lifter who's quickly rising the ranks as an up-and-comer. She had as close a battle as you can get against Jessica Buettner at classic worlds this year, coming in 2nd only because of bodyweight and setting a new open bench world record. The month before that, she competed equipped at the European championships and set a new junior world record bench press. And next month, she'll be competing at world games in gear, no doubt gonna do something huge there

In regards to your comments on Eric Lillibridge, he did not compete in multiply powerlifting. Eric is one of the greatest raw w/ wraps powerlifters to ever touch the barbell. He has squatted 1063, benched around 565, and deadlifted over 900 in competition. His 275 and 308 totals were ONLY rivaled by Zahir and Malanichev for years. Eric retired from powerlifting while under 30 years old because there was nothing left to achieve.

I believe Eric Lilliebridge did one geared meet, early in his career. As far as good lifters that competed raw and geared the only one that comes to mind is Matt Wenning. Im sure there are others but it is rare.

Vlad alhazov held the multiply ATWR, had hip replacement surgery and then went on to break the ATWR in the squat with wraps. which most people consider RAW.

About a year into lifting consistently now, watched this after deadlift day ! But man i'm frustrated ... My form is good, my lifts are improving and still there is something i hate about me when i deadlift.
I do conventional , with legs closer to my body than shoulder width and i have noticed that my left knee doesnt stay straight but it wants to go out to the side . And i know it most likely comes from some fuked up shit in my pelvis , cause everytime i get my legs close to my chest then extend, i feel a loud 'click' on the inside of my left leg, just on the side to the groin, probably where one of the inner thigh muscles inserts .
And yea, i've tried keeping a more wider stance , but that knee just buckels outwards , shin doesnt stay straight during the lift and i fkin hate that . The lift doesnt hurt, the click doesnt hurt , its just there.. and i hate that i dont know why .
And i have no idea what kind of scientific name to put to this thing , to research it .
I would probably ignore it , but its fkin leaking, left knee buckling outward makes my right knee work more to keep my body straight, applying a whole lotta pressure in that tendon.
Its not a problem now since i do everyday bw sqauts just for general joint health and dinamic streching , but i feel like , if i dont attend to this early in my lifting years its gonna bite me back .
Any ideas what am i dealing with here ?
