You said it at 5:36ish, at least for me, why I play alts. For a different perspective, new challenge, new experience, whether its in keys or raid. Going from tank to healer or to dps in m+ and raid does feel different and you get to learn more about the mechanics, how different classes and specs deal with different things. That's the main reason I played alts....this season even though its more alt friendly m+ is so punishing that I have no desire to play another role. The key struggle is real and going from tank to DPS playing queue simulator is painful.
After playing Healer for ages every other spec feels like joke when doing anything (as in easy mode). Alts only using for professions and some specific like horde achievements.
On your healer in dungeons I would suggest moving frames up next to your character. Much less movement when mousing over your frames. Also frames being more centralized will keep your vision more in the center of the screen.
Haha same I ended up tanking tho, which is also stressful, but at least when tanking I'm pretty much responsible for myself and my hp and not for the whole group's
The biggest problem with Healers is that they are in the middle. Too weak to solo carry with God performance, too strong to make it obvious when someone is fucking up and force them to learn. Example: Bricked a 7 Dawnbreaker yesterday on my evoker. Reason? Pure entitlement from other playeers. Dps not using defensives on overlapping mechs (the dot the trash cast+the channel that does huge dmg to two people) expecting me to just heal through it. Which tbf is doable, if not for our tank. It was Veng DH, that used Demon Spikes on average once per minute. I couldn't keep them up since I was busy trying to keep the idiot alive through huge damage he was taking. Thought he was just badly geared, only realised how stupid he was being when we started wiping on the caster boss because tank kept getting one-shot by tankbusters. Dude had no clue, he just got carried to +6 by his healers, never forced to actually learn his class.
Been healing since vanilla...here is something that you can do that I do myself. This xpac keep stacks of cavedwellers and healing potions in your bag. They have different cooldowns. If you have spike damage use one of this pots and let's say you get spike damage right away again you can use the other pot. Just have to watch the timing. The result is instant and almost fills your bar. Takes pressure off. As a healer...no casting time and can keep healing others and not waste time on me. Keep everything on you that you can use yourself to heal yourself including healthstones. Over the years I've been so amazed at tanks and dps who are genius at damage prevention: using defensives, interrupting and controlling mobs, and have save me from sure death. Truly amazing to watch from my standpoint. Cheers to tanks and dps!
You can also spell ward yourself to block a lot of tank busters, you really should get the war within raid ability timeline weak aura, it gives you a rolling timeline of every boss ability in mythic plus and raid
Merry Christmas! I hope you and yours have a wonderful present-opening day! My WoW time this week has been spent gearing up in delves, finishing the max level campaign and doing the LFR. Other than that I've been working on professions and side quest chains. Haven't tried mythics yet, not sure how much I want to, to be honest.
As a casual player who has 32 alts over time, I just play the flavor of the day. I've 16 who are level 80. I don't do group stuff which makes it easy for me to just concentrate on the questing end. Yes, it takes a few minutes to refresh my memory on the different icons, but at 74 I've all the time in the world. If I was to do something like PvP I would most likely concentrate on one or two different characters. I find grouping very stressful because of the players, not the game itself. There are too many ego driven that just want to keep on gearing higher and higher stuff and if they get a wipe they go off on everyone! I'm happy with delves and follower type dungeons and I do what I want without grief from others.
100% I always end up soloing things so delves and follower dungeons have been a godsend. I everyone feels like they want to blaze through everything and get angry when they can't.. and I just can't keep up or deal with feeling stressed all the time..
As a PVP player, I only play 1 class and 2 specs so all my alts are just for sitting / pushing rating throughout the season and having different racials.
I am main healer , got 3 spec in pugs to 3k io . This season they shared part of survivability of player with dps ( priest/shaman/mage/evoker/warrior/and protection paladin/mage, since they have aoe dmg reduction/heal/…etc) and it made it hard to impossible for a healer be able to keep everyone alive ( healers cant hold 2m hps all the time , its like spikes , or set up for incoming dmg . And on top of that , we have to heal tanks ( i noticed in lower level , healers are not focusing tank with single target heal . And some tanks are not in right spot , brewmaster/DH/guardian druid .i got these 3 to 2700 io) .many people think dps are not using interrupts , but in mid to high level(at least high level for me) , dps are using their offensive CDs , and they overlap most of the time which better than not using them . I think in season 2 with the new changes , they are focusing on single target heal (base on changes on mistweaver so far) and i dont think that would inv people to play heal . What made me happy as main healer was doing heal and DPS . And they nerfed my dps to ground ( sometimes i play +8 as mistweaver dps talent to feel good pulling 600-800k dps ) . Some healers have so much buttom compared to others (shaman compare to priest ) which makes some classes meta .
Also, have you been working towards the TWW Meta achievs? There's no way 'You Xal Not Pass' is the full TWW Meta achiev right? Jani on day 1 of Siren Isle patch is so insane. Looks amazing!
I have been working on Xal Not Pass! I'm just missing a couple more rares, treasures, and the ring gems. Then just the weekly quests. I Imagine that'll be the last thing I need to get for the meta. And no, Blizz said Xal Not Pass is just phase 1, it'll be required for TWW meta. I imagine there'll be another similar achievement for season 2 then the actual meta after that.
I've played a Hunter and Paladin in Shadowlands and Deagonflight, and tried adding a Warrior and Shaman in Season 1 of TWW. I quickly abandoned the Shaman, and recently abandoned the Warrior as well. There's too much to do on more than 2 toons. Maybe in Season 2 I'll be able to add a third character into the rotation again.
On pali bud you pop ardent first then bubble, make sure you are light smith using holy armaments on cd it steals health from your party for yourself. Also use wings to heal yourself and only use guardian of ancient kings when you have nothing else and are getting messed up by big damage, 3k port pali here

I should do that, thanks!
I went into TWW with the goal of learning to heal.
I pretty much immediately dropped that goal because frankly it's WAAAAY to hard and stressful.
Haha same

Merry Christmas buddy! Christmas is McDonald's day in my house (It's a personal tradition for reasons).
Had another Big Mac yesterday :D It's a great tradition.

Happy holidays!
I'd advice against using automatic translate to Finnish for titles and descriptions. They are not very good to put it lightly. 😂
Healing is just stressful.... But if you can do it with mates its alot better.
Wait you can socket 2 of them them? You using item from vault to add socket or crafted item as I didn’t know 🤣
It's a crafted item called Magnificent Jeweler's Setting. Can add up to 2 sockets for rings and neck! Had no idea it existed.
Healing and tanking should not be harder than DPSing!!!!
