கேரளாவின், எர்ணாகுளம் மாவட்டத்தில் வசிக்கும் 34 வயது திரு.எல்தோஸ் பி.ராஜீ (Eldhose P. Raju) அரபு நாட்டு கத்தாரில் தொழிற்சாலை அவசரகால மருத்துவ செவிலியராக (Industrial Nurse) 10 ஆண்டுகளுக்கு மேல் பணியாற்றியவர். தன்னுடைய சொந்த மாவட்டமான எர்ணாகுளத்துக்கு சொந்த காரணங்களுக்காக திரும்பியவர் எதிர்பார்த்தபடி அவரது அனுபவப்பட்ட தொழிற்சாலை மருத்துவ செவிலியராக பணியமையவில்லை என்பதால் வேறு தொழில் அமைய நிர்பந்தம் ஏற்பட்டது. தனது சிறுவயது விருப்பமாக இருந்த தாவரங்களை வளர்க்க திட்டமிட்டார். தனக்கு முற்றிலும் பரிச்சயம் இல்லாத தாமரைத் தடாகத்தினை விட்டு மொட்டை மாடியில் அமைத்து தாமரைகளை வளர்க்கத் துவங்கினார். ஆரம்பத்தில் செயல்முறை பிரச்சனைகள் இருந்தாலும் தற்போது தாமரை வணிகத்தின் மூலம் மாதம் ரூ 40,000 /- ஈட்டுவதாக கூறுகிறார். அந்தவைகையில் 80க்கும் மேற்ப்பட்ட வகை தாமரைகள் இவருடைய தடாகத்தில் வளர்த்து சந்தைப் படுத்தி வருகிறார்.
