Ceramic Surface Manipulation #1: 5 Prepping Tiles

This is the first in a short series of videos in which we will experiment with different surface manipulations from additive and subtractive work, to textures, to glaze techniques. In this video we will prepare our 'tiles' for glaze experimentation and try 5 surface manipulation techniques for the plastic stage of clay: stamping, rolled texture, bas relief (carving), additive work with multiples and experimentation.
