Good description. The Dunkel is to me a Bock with lower alcohol, so it is sessionable. I control the syrup taste by keeping the beer cool. I have my cooler at 7°C.
Yeah, I drank them too slowly - but it's interesting to see what happens when the temperature rises. The Bock beer is still a bit of a mystery to me, but I will learn! 😁 I'm planning a video about Maibocks (once all the beers are available), but I know that is a paler kind. Prost / skål! 🍺
My experience is that the more the temperature rises of these kind of beers the sweeter they get. My personal preference is more towards the schwarzbier but only based on my personal taste 😉
@@SwedishBeerGuy Thank you! You’re having quite the effect on me. Because of one of your recent videos, today I will be having Weihenstephaner Hefeweissbier and Ayinger Brau Weisse side by side. And, I will have Wehenstephaner Original Premium versus Ayinger Bayerische Pils. I definitely want to try Kostritzer Schwarzbier one of these days.
I love Kostritzer, brewed in bad Kostritz south of Leipzig
Bravo. You are a fine taster. Very good content.
Thank you, glad to hear that! 🍺
I don't think I've had a dunkel, but i love a schwarzbier.

Which did you like better between the two?
I think I preferred the Schwarzbier, but in the middle of winter I might want the Dunkel instead!
