I'm a super taster, hate bitter stuff, way too strong. Wiehenstephan lager is simply perfect. Good cold, good as it warms. Mild, and has a real taste. I may move to Freising and apply to work here when I retire. I can think of few things better. Maybe a winery in the Lang d oc... but I love the German mindset to beer. I would love to be able to taste a beer from 1000 years ago... sure it would be different, but love to try it.

So in the past they had something other than yeast? So what was beer like without yeast?
