*Fun facts about Deepavali- the festival of lights:*
Let's begin with the meaning of Deepavali, in Tamil; Deepam (Lamps) + Aavali (array/ an impressive display) = Deepavali. Deepavali festivities are celebrated with lights, on the day before the "New Moon" darkest night (ஜப்பசி- சதுர்த்தசி அமாவாசைக்கு முன் தினம்) in the Tamil month of Aippasi (seventh month in the Tamil calendar from the middle of October to November around 15th).
Deepavali is a festival that is celebrated throughout India (different states with different names/ different beliefs), Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Singapore, Myanmar, Nepal, Sindu region in Pakistan, Fiji, Mauritius, South Africa and other parts of the world where larger Tamil and Indian communities resides, for e.g. UK, USA, throughout Europe & Australia.
The significance of Deepavali, to light up to welcome the souls of our ancestors & also to flight the negative vibes within us with the positive spirit of the lamps.
Deepavali celebration is the outcome of love, peace and unity.
    Advance & Happy Deepavali!
    இனிய தீபாவளி நல்வாழ்த்துக்கள்! 🙏☺🎊
