1980 corvette ls3 swap dyno pull

  • My ls swapped c3 corvette gets a little time on the dyno. L92 heads ly6 bottom end. 235 251 cam .624 lift 115 lsa. Ls3 intake manifold injectors and throttle body. Tremec tko 600. Ls7 clutch. 373 posi rear.
    Made 420 wheel horsepower at 6000 and 400 wheel torque at 5000 rpm. Those are c6 z06 numbers

    hey man thanks! yeah its neil at horsepower solutions in edmonton alberta. he locks his tunes so unfortunately i dont have a lot of access to it. but set something up with him to get yours tuned. and yes he used horsepower tuners. im uploading a walkaround video as we speak

    What was your solution for getting cold air into the engine? If you stuck a cone and a 90 and close the hood and go for a drive, your IAT's will get high enough that your pcm starts to pull timing. Ask me how I know....

      Couldn’t you pull cold air down low? Aren’t those cold air intakes down low in front bumper? I’m not real familiar with corvettes but it just looked like it had a source down low.

      @@vincegrimes2614 the stock differential likes to blow up past 550hp at the crank... Well not so much HP but tq, 500 TQ... Same with the half's shafts...
      I was curious if he put an aftermarket diff or is pushing the stock one

      @@sniperpronerfmods9811 the mechanic didn't say anything about the differential but he did say after so many upgrades to the horsepower that it will need a better transmission or something like that. How much horses do you get from just cam and carburetor? 😦

      @@vincegrimes2614 are you stock? A decent size streetable cam cam add 60hp, a carb 750cfm another 25.... It really depends on the heads you have though.
      I currently have a 450hp... Probably around 475 tq 383 stroker sbc in my 79 c3, 4.11 differential gear ratio, th350 tranny with a little shift kit... 108k miles, custom flame paint job... Stock rear end and half shafts.....
      The car is a good street car, I have my car posted on reddit

      @@sniperpronerfmods9811 everything is stock but since the engine blew up I am trying to get it built to be faster.
