- The World of Warcraft War Within beta has been underway these past few weeks, giving us an opportunity to experience this expansion for the first time. But is it any good? Like with any World of Warcraft upcoming release, Nixxiom is heading into the beta to undergo an experiment. To play the game for a few hours' time, take notes, and then share with you all his first impressions, be they good or bad.

Fellas, I apologize for that gap in the uploads, but this past Saturday I was busy getting married. Been a hectic past few months, but at last things can return to normal! Thank you all for being patient with me and the content.
Also, I should remind the viewers that this is a First Impressions video - not a final review. That's all!
Gratz on the marriage, my dude. 🎉🎉
Congratulations 🎉
"I apologize for that gap in the uploads, but this past Saturday I was busy getting married." I WILL NEVER FORGIVE YOU. NEVER.
Gratz to your marriage.
shillnixxion. there's nothing about any form of wow that's not era / hc that registers as better than pure dog. and even those are ruined now with the latest changes that are in era for some reason.
My favorite part of the war within beta is when Thrall says "we gotta fight... this war within" and then Anduin and Jaina high five and all 3 of them start waring within together
lmao
Wow Humour Peak right here
Thrall want to fight a war within Jaina

I liked when the unholy dk said "it's morbin time"
I used to get really excited for wow expansions. However... I am watching this .. and for the love of god i just dont feel anything anymore for this game.
I haven’t played retail since the beginning of Shadowlands. Somewhere between legion and bfa the game turned into a second job if you wanted to experience everything an expansion had to offer. Then later on, when you would log in, everywhere you look you’re staring at reminders of things you missed. It’s just not the same anymore. This game should have been sequel’d a long time ago.
This is probably the biggest depressing reason why many people quit. Bombarded with useless shit telling you what you can and should be doing, 1,000 different currencies to grind for chances at slightly upgrading gear and a leveling experience that you're rushed through so you can get into the same mythic dungeon/raid/...delves... grind on loop for months on end.
First it was Teldrassil, then the Undercity, Stratholme has been burning for the past couple of decades, Gilneas City is kinda restored but still totally useles and now Dalaran falls from the sky. I have the sneaky suspicion someone at Blizzard developed an Oppenheimer complex and earned the achievement: "Now I am become Blizzard, the destroyer of cities"
Literally destroying Azeroth one city at a time.
Also the park burned for years before becoming a statue, and Theramore got bombed - All the damage from the cataclysm still exists with tornadoes and floods and lava cracks - Booty Bay is still under repairs and supposedly Gadgetzan is a city now
its the easiest way to show world building in action.
I believe they will revamp some of the zones in Midnight and I am not sure about the last titan but they have plans to revamp zones to update them, besides that, undercity is restored lorewise
@@DarkPoisoneer if only they would bring back undercity in game too.
Beta voices can be a bit wonky sometimes. Back in the beta of TBC I was testing out the Draenei starting area. All the NPCs were polite and said stuff like "Light bless you" and "Peace be with you." But then one suddenly screamed "DEATH TO ALL WHO OPPOSE THE CAUSE" and I was shocked for a moment until I realized the poor sod had most likely gotten a blood elf voice emote by accident. O.O
Was it the "Death to all who oppose us" line?
What about "DEATH TO ALL WHO OPPOSE US!"? That was a dismiss dialogue from belf, almost every npc race have an aggressive quote.
Being the 'saviour of Azeroth' for the last 10 years running while simultaneously being asked to pick up/destroy rubble will forever irritate the shit out of me. Why am I doing menial tasks that could be carried out by a peon if I've literally saved the world multiple times? I firmly believe that one of the reasons vanilla is so popular, is because nobody wants to be the savior of the world... we all just want to be adventurers in a big scary world.
It is literally up to you to say yes. Quests are offered. You take them, or you go 'I'm the saviour of Azeroth' and don't.
@@CedricDur What a fucking stupid take lmao What am I supposed to do? Grind mobs for XP? This isn't BDO my guy. 90% of the quests while leveling in new expacs are silly menial tasks.
@@LemonMan91 It's not a stupid take. A stupid take might be roleplaying while doing quests. You can just level via dungeons if you don't want to do menial quests.
A better take might be that you're the saviour of Azeroth but you're still a down to earth hero who helps people if they need help.
But if you want to roleplay being the hero of Azeroth and 'too good to do menial tasks' then don't do them. Leveling via dungeons has been around for a long time and I doubt the new expansion killed it.
And that's not even considering 90% of the player does not even read quest text and just does whatever to collect their XP.
Level in dungeons if you are such a hero champion 😅
I always do, i cant picking up carrots and fighting rabbits
12:24 - Imagine this: You were *THE* adventurer from the very start that went through a hell of an adventure across the world in Vanilla, took out the threats since then (Ragnaros, Onyxia, C'Thun, Hakkar, Kel'Thuzad), you went and explored Outland and stopped both Illidan, Vashj, Kael'thas, Kil'Jaden, went to Northrend to stop the Scourge and defeat Kel'Thuzad (again), Anub'arak, Athas - The Lich King, had to endure the Cataclysm and put an end to the big bads along with Deathwing, arrive to Pandaria as invasive colonizers to remove the Sha, Lei'Shen and then having to discipline Garrosh Hellscream - except getting away from his timeout, thus, go into the past to f##kn' scar up the Orcs' dreams of conquerors to only find out Thrall killed Garrosh, realize there's a giant, demonic space-goat that had Gul'dan escape, both sides losing their chad leadership to stop Gul'dan ruining everything, hurt Kil'Jaden's (in person this time) feelings to then stop this Argus Unmaker guy for Sargeras to have a hissy fit and stab the world, to suddenly be involved in a war between the Alliance and Horde (pretty sure none of them wanted to pay for repair costs on the settlement to the Cenarion Circle that escalated since then) to only cease hostilities to stop this snake woman Queen Azshara, with Wrathion to drag the adventurer by the ear to face yet another old god named N'Zoth (which ended up as an embarrassment), with the adventurer groaning in torment to hear Sylvanas decided to become a big bad now and open the Shadowlands, then seethe in frustration that she's now a good guy after humiliatingly beating her and stopping The Jailer named Zorvool or Zavvel - whatever this dude is - he wasn't cool, and thinking that they're done, the adventurer decided on wanting to go to vacation until being yanked by the ear once more by some scaly man-dragon and head to the Dragon Isles, stop all the threats and beat this badder scaly to a literal pulp for now hating to see anything dragon now to finally stop this glowing torch dragon- Nope, just immediately decimates him while saving a huge tree, until now you are here, with Dalaran destroyed and just hearing about the new next bad you'll have to once again crush with injust prejudice dating back since BFA - all of your accomplishments, the foes you've went against and slaughtered, all the creatures and resources consumed to feed your growth of power, the supposed friendship (the main characters) you made along the way since the start...
...To all end abruptly by getting crushed by some mechanical hammer while also traumatizing the witness seeing it happen because he/she wanted to see what would happen. XD
This was amazing to read xD
To this day I'm scared of elevators in games as many older games had you get crushed and dying when standing underneath one. Or the amount of times doors in old games were closing automatically and could kill you in the process... xD
he would go to shadowlands, which technically is a fate worse than death, where Sylvanas would brag about his plot being worse that hers
I think we've died like hundreds of thousands of times before. This isn't really any different.
I stopped playing in Shadowlands and this is the first time I've really watched footage since then. Tbh the gameplay looks mostly identical to what I remember other than the new dragon flying. The delves also seem like scenarios with a new coat of paint.
Maybe that's what people want, the formula seems to work, but there's nothing here that excites me or makes me want to check it out.
I agree, pretty boring stuff
i feel the same but i changed to ff14 anyways so i dont need to go back. the stuff you can do there is a huge step above wows gameplay imo. (i dont like m+ and with that 90 of gameplay is not for me xD)
Blizz is milking to the death a game that is already dead, and they will keep doing it until the last penies
Can't believe my man was presented with Deathbringer and Rider of the Apocalypse and went Deathbringer...your credibility as a death knight has been called into question.
I don’t think he is too informed on the hero talents.
@@dotpunker89 I mean I'm talking from a purely name standpoint Rider of the Apocalypse sounds infinitely cooler than Deathbringer
@gst-y1h But Rider is like, the quintessential DK Aesthetic.
Deathbringer all the way
@gst-y1h Deathbringer Saurfang was lame as hell
21 minutes of random generated words by chatgpt. Void Elves wander through the cosmos, drawn to the whispers of shadows. In Azeroth, ancient powers stir, weaving together the fabric of reality and nothingness. The balance between light and darkness teeters as cosmic forces converge. Echoes of forgotten realms resonate, unveiling secrets of the universe. The infinite battle between chaos and order continues, with the Voidlords lurking in the depths. Portals to other dimensions open, revealing the mysteries of creation and destruction. Guardians of the light stand against the corruption, striving to maintain the fragile unity of existence.
The best part was knowing you can die if you stand under the anvil. 😂
I laughed out loud there, I don't mind admitting XD
@simonmagid4205 me too, and i had to see it again. 😆
I think we need decent sidequest with actual story, not just grow turnips cus why not. What about a side quest like Legend of Stalvan?
Imagine dalaran being teleported to the Borken shore, a place literally bombarded by Legion Spaceships... and it managed to survive. And now some goofy looking spiders shot it down... 😮
in 20 years time the quest are still roughly the same...
Thats what i was thinking LOL still the same old shit..... Fly around, talk to npcs, kill some mobs, pick up shit. Blah Blah Blah so lame in the first bit of the game here it grabs 0 attention. I just cant get into it anymore, i quit in s2 of shadowlands and i just cant get excited about the game anymore.
5:54 "Blizzard is at their best when they're stealing"
And then the very next clip is dragon riding, a feature ripped from Guild Wars 2. Perfect.
Yep. They stole ideas from Guild Wars 2 flight. Strange though. I love Guild Wars 2 flight and hate Dragonflight.
Saying that people steal these ideas is simply such a bad take. (but nixxiom standard) Much of these things are more inspiration than ripoffs. Even the 40k has taken inspiration from other things. WW1 tanks or?
Unless you have a... meh, you guys won't understand intellectual property rights anyway...so why bother.
It's kinda what they have always done. Look at EverQuest lol.
@@Fseb-uj1ih Heavility inpired would be an understatement - this is nearly a 1 to 1 rip off ^^
@@MikeJw-je4xk Both trash games does it matter ?
Thanks Nixxiom. I really wish Blizzard would allow us to take our alt toons as "followers" and level them up along with whatever main we are playing. The followers could level up slower too. I would love to play with my Shadow Priest, but take my Light Forged Ret Pally along as a follower!! OMG!! That would be awesome!
Ill be honest, i wish blizzard would stop giving us new zones everytime we get a new expansion. I would much prefer if they added new content to existing zones. You telling me we've never run into anyone of these new races during our 15+ years on Azeroth?
TWW Feels like something we have seen 1000 times already. Need something new and crazy.
Yeah. Like gay frogs in Dragonflight.
After becoming the hero of the alliance an honorable commander and saving the world multiple times - we are finally back picking up dirt again 5:05
New lore characters would require somebody at Blizzard to actually have an original thought.
Like Faerin Lothar, Xal'atath and Iridikron you mean?
Yeah xal’atah seems to be brand new and very much liked as an idea and design so far.
Its the likeable and interesting heroes we need more new ones of. Give us a rugged tauren shaman that feels weighted down from having shaman powers and in conflict all the time harnassing its power its a good idea to contrast the main villians “your fury will be mine” or a rebel not so nice paladin character or even a scarlet crusade paladin that learned the error of his ways but coming to grip of working with non humans and for the good of everything
Its the same lore characters thrall aduin and gang. And if they DO add new races its the same generic “adventurous dwarf” or “honorable orc warrior” or “comic relief gnome” give us something different for sure.
What if the jailer planned the new lore characters all along????
@@MattJBarnes It's been 8 years. Xal'atath isn't really new anymore. Kinda crazy how time flies.
Let me know when we are allowed to use our entire Warband, once increased to 5, and play through the dungeons with them. You know, instead of we (the player) and 4 randoms, let us play we (the player) plus 4others of our own characters as NPCs. That way we can "play" as all 5 and destribute gear accordingly. Let us know when we can level and gear up our entire warband at same time like this. Hopefully Blizz will catch on soon enough.
its just more of the same dragonflight 2.0 with hero talents.
hero talents pretty much just covenant ability's
You gotta admire how they just rebrand Artifact Power each expansion since Legion and pretend its a new feature
@@Crobian Wow players that have no dignity eat that shit up
4:10 literally WHY? Has anyone thought that it's fun to carpet bomb from an on rails flying mount since what? F'ing Wrath or something? Why do they keep doing this?
I think it's more for just the lore standpoint to have it there not so much a challenge...but with that being said it's still a missed opportunity
my favorite ability in the game is alt F4
The new expansion looks even more boring than socialjusticeflight.
Never liked dwarves and the earthen. Their city looks like ass too.

Let me guess. No proper parents. Neglected and abused. You are fighting mental health issues, and have no friends or a real job?
Playing other 40k games, the mechanicus can absolutely inflect plenty of emotion into their voice.
Usually disdain.
Also the way they phrase stuff is a riot.
At the time i had to return that 40k mechanicus dlc to the 40k ARPG but i thought the servitor and the tech priest were funny.
"we need some returns of other lore characters"
We did. Alleria. She hasn't been a main character since Legion. She had a cameo in Shadowlands to see Sylvannas off but that was kinda it. Now shes front and centre, which IMO is great.
So we're getting another reskin of the dwarves as a playable race?
yep
And a Loch Modan reskin, being a dwarf guy that lived in Loch Modan inn i like it 😅
To be fair we've only gotten Dark Iron so far. Not everyone is into lore, but dwarves are major lore characters in WoW
We have a LOT of playable races at this point. They can't all keep being equally exciting for everyone ig
Yeah but this time the women can have beards! wow so progessive!
@@Drakkross That is a thing in dwarf lore it isn't some woke nonsense really.
I've played through 3 different delves (the ones in the first area) so far and yes they are fun. However I don't see them being fun as repeated content in the endgame. To me it appears as it's something you'll do a couple of times to get what you want and push the level to the maximum and then do the bare minimum for weekly quests.
It's just to basic and repetitive to be really enjoyable for longer periods of time.
so just like grindland expeditions, choreghast, the ZzZzkera Vault and Nothin Sniffn?
So… like any dungeon?
@@AceMercado10 similar but shorter and solo
hmm I dunno, we just did a whole expansion Dragonflight where most of the big lore characters were absent (except the dragon aspects obviously), I think it makes sense to get those characters involved in things again at this point
I got the same feeling about WoW that Magni has about Azeroth: I just don't care anymore. I still monitor the game and watch good content creators from the old days, hoping that WoW will get its groove back, but it won't happen: Blizz just doubles down.
TWW will be the first expansion since TBC I won't play, same old stuffs. I only played DF 1 season and never looked back.
My wow time is over, there is tons of other good games out there. . But hey to those who play, GL.
Its not really accurate to say Xal'atath being the mastermind behind the attack on the earthen capital is like the Jailer in shadowlands. Its not connected to past lore or retconning, its the boss of this expansion effecting this expansion which is entirely normal.
Uh huh
I got master plan PTSD
As someone who gave up on WoW during Shadowlands and hasn't been back since, the best I can say with this Beta commentary is that it, at least to me, seems like it could be a decent start to heading in the right direction. I guess we'll just have to wait and find out.
A big thing is xalatath is going behind current things, not past things that are suddenly huge things all attributed to her.
Also delves don't change every time you do them, it changes on a lockout basis.
And yeah the hero talents don't become super good till you get all the talents, its small increments.
Also imagine not picking the rider of the apocolypse.
Also a fun fact, a LOT of the charecters you mention are showing up, gazlowe for example, we are also getting to know thralls son a lot more. Faerin, Xalatath.
They literally retconned lore to make her being behind almost all influencial things on azeroth just like the jailer lmao, people like her because she is an edgy elf inside a dead corpse, but let's not pretend blizzard is not trying to pull a jailer with her
I can't say much about gameplay/endgame content, but the zones look gorgeous, especially Hallowfall.
WoW 2, when?
Not in this life brotha
2077, like cyberpunk
I hope they reset WoW after this trilogy
Look at turtle wow they are making a wow 2 with unreal engine and they have a trailer out already showcasing this.
@@abrahammendiola4446 when does it release?
The thing about delves is that T3 and below usually have almost the same experience with some minor changes to items and rares inside, and when the seasons starts, they will have the bigger changes.
Also the deathbringer tree is pretty lame in the beginning but when you get the last point and start filling up the tree, it will have new effects and visuals and the stacks will build up faster
okay but WHY ANOTHER dwarf race??? like why?
we already have a dwarf & iron dwarf!
I would like the half elf-human (arathi) to be a playable race.
@@NotClosedMinded Same! I've been wanting them for YEARS to explore the interracial aspects of the lore that we don't really see (forgot the name of the half Orc half human guy) as well as adding a damn Aquatic playable race, like come on!
I like the foundational elements that they've been doing since Dragonflight. It's created a solid foundation for the game to thrive in the future. We just need on xpac with good story/dungeons and people will be back in and see all the amazing QoL changes and skill trees, profession changes, etc.
Finally a comment that gives Dragonflight it's due. If you liked what they've done so far, your really gonna like TWW. I'm not reading the quest text but you catch on to things going on and it's very interesting. And one step into Hallowfall and I was mesmerized by the beauty of the zone around me. I really hope you get the experience I have received and more just in beta. 😊
@@stormrider8286 The Warband system alone is getting me to come back. It's insane that they're actually starting to care about players time now, it's not the Blizzard I used to know - and that's a good thing lol.
I've been playing Beta. I was playing remix, but I figured if I was playing something that didn't matter might as well play beta. Just watch a lvl 71 RUN and I mean run through a Dungeon pulling everything between bosses and lived. You have no idea how fun it is as a Mage to just run behind a tank for 10 minutes. Doing nothing until the boss.
That shit's not fun
I'm hoping for the best and I don't think that it could be as bad as BFA or Shadowlands but also hoping that it isn't as forgettable as Dragonflight was for me. I feel like we have moved pretty far into a new ear of WoW if your not already with it, that probably isn't going to change. Maybe its time to find a new series to get invested into.
Delves will go the route of the Warfronts, Island Expaditions, Torghast, Scenarios, and any other small-scale content once the expac ends. Maybe this will be different since this is a trilogy expansion, and they'll carry the content over.
I think delves are here to stay. They really are great and an actual functional endgame activity for solo players.
They said at blizcon this is an evergreen system meaning they are here to stay
They literally already said delves are staying man. I get being cynical but eventually you just have to let things go if your only feelings towards something are negative.
@shimapanzer9930 I follow zero modern WoW news these days, so im just assuming based on what I've played and what's been abandoned.
everyone that has played wow betas knows that this is what will be shipped, and nothing will be changed till 6 months after launch with a we hear you
Dragonflight was good and had very few issues though.
You must have not been following wow recently. I've played since cata and I know what u mean but in dragonflight they listened to player feedback more than ever before and now in the war within beta it's even better.
Regarding "Thrall, Jaina & Anduin": If you don't pick familiar characters there is also criticism against that. Now is this a split decision, idk. But you kinda have to stick to some familiar faces while introducing new ones, which will also happen during the leveling campaign.
Anyone else feel bored of this expansion already?
Contrary to you, I look forward to the return of Anduin and old favourite characters, see what happens to our friends. 2 hrs of beta isn't imho representative of what the total final product is. Crafting has some interesting developments too. A slow start (your meh) isn't a problem when more is coming over the next 3 expansions. A solid gorgeous new hub city sounds like a good foundation. Maybe the world feels empty because 1. Beta and 2. Weekly activities might be added as we reach 80 and the expansion progresses that will fill it in just as dreamsurges, wq, hunts, feasts, Fyrack, rares and what not filled DF over time.
I didn't expect and never expected delves to change every single time. We've had dungeons for 20 years now and short of the remakes we have gotten throughout the years on some dungeons, they've largely stayed the same. I'm just glad to have single player endgame content with follower dungeons and then on top of that, delves. I don't always have people to play with and I don't want to queue for 20 mins as a dps waiting for a pop just to get rushed through a 5 man by a guy who pulls 60 percent of the dungeon on the first run then yells at me when I can't keep up. However I have heard certain elements of the delves will change over time. So there will be some variation in them. While neat. Not something I needed, especially when people run the same exact mythic+ dungeons hundreds of times an expansion with only changes in enemy strength or what have you.
As a hardcore dwarf fan I must say I really look forward to it because the zones look stunning, I get the most fantasy immersion when there is dwarven architecture and lore around and I am looking forward to the story, I am a bit skeptical about the delves as usually I dont like theese types of things, but maybe I will love them when they come out. But I still enjoy being around other player characters to playing solo.
The difference between the jailers plan and xalataths plan is that we have seen xalatath for a long time but the jailer was just made for one expansion lol
I’ll play it and try to do every quest. I love questing.
I can definitely see Earthen being akin to Mechancius faction. But we already have another key influence with the Lightborn Draenei, one of their features is literally "They shall know no fear" which is akin to Space Marines motif. That and obviously they come out of drop pods, use ancient veteran warriors spirits to run their ardent large robotic's and utilize warframes akin to dreadnaughts.
I am super excited for War Within, that being it is the next evolution for Wow. That being said, I grew up playing Classic, the Skyriding and overall 'speedy' element of these newer Expacs are getting exhausting to deal with. Endgame is amazing and will continue to be in Retail, but I want leveling to be a core part of Wow again and not be part of a conveyer belt style of speeding you and always feeling like you are rushing through the zones. I am not saying Classic is perfect, but it is far more immersive than the larger and more mundane aspects of Retail. I think I can speak for many when I say I like to feel immersed in Wow, I don't want to feel like I am on a treadmill with content being shoved down my throat. In conclusion, I am excited for this next chapter of Wow as I do believe they will continue to improve - but they need to keep player's feedback as the cornerstone of their developments.
The best part of my war within gameplay was when Alt F4 it , and open Vanilla Classic
To be honest for the first time since I played wow (OG cata) I have not pre ordered and probably not play this. Looks like the same old stuff that they threw in the washer to look new

Shoulda went with Rider of the Apocalypse for your DK. You get to remain mounted up in combat with it when outside in the open world.
Which I'll note I'm not trying to say that it's necessarily better, just more that it's absolutely a change in flavor that's more massive than a dot.
this is the 1st time i played beta for so long. at 1st i was eager to lvl up fast but i found myself stuck on lvl76 and cant progress to the campaign story if im not lvl80. the journey from 76 to 80 wasnt fun. after hitting 80, things get excited again since theres a lot of new stuff to do. but after few weeks being 80, i get bored (maybe because its beta and theres no point to min max gears and professions)
so the only thing left to do was i started to do my little research on what to farm, where to farm, whats my plan on professions, which toon to max 1st and learning the new dungeons.
so i ruined my own element of surprise for the 1st time after playing wow for more 16 years. maybe all i care is how to make a lot of gold during the 1st few week of TWW. im not goin to rush to max lvl again like what ive always done in previous expac
i think it could be a decent-awsome ish expansion if blizzard just doesn't stop improving the game and these features throughout the expansion, like probably adding some different scenarios to each delve to make it more replayable would be nice and just making the hero talents game breakingly strong and awsome
Broll, Veleera come to mind for a couple good characters we could use for story for once. Haven't really seen them for years. I blew through the story as I also didn't want spoiled. I focused on mechanics and making sure things worked. I'll enjoy the story when it's all done and released.
Replaying Pandaria, made me think how unutilised so many characters are. Toashi was amazing, mudmug, Mishka, I'd personally like to see more Taran Zhu but I doubt it. They have a treasure trove of characters but they just use the same five every time.
"Blizzard needs to make new lore characters" I agree, but lately the characters they've made have been pretty lame, one dimensional, and poorly written.
But hey, there's an orc with PTSD in dragonflight from his time in war, so there's that. And that depressed dragon you get to talk to on that ledge. Pretty much the only two storylines that seemed well written and memorable.
The latter just literally being a 20 minute dialogue dump
i mean its the world soul saga let them finish off the story that has been building for the last 30 years pretty much then when its all said an done they can 100% go a different route
The worst part for me is that I feel this is happening across all forms of media or entertaiment almost to a fault.
There's also one of Ysera's consorts in a state of depression, letting the gardens that he is meant to care for go out of control. Dryads encourage the player to try and encourage him to get back to work by cheering him up, but not much works until you show him how neglected and badly in shape the gardens have been. He decides to continue keeping the gardens in order and safe in Ysera's memory while also mourning.
It’s because they rely on skin color and sexuality to carry the story. No one cares.
Make a good story.
hes not saying blizzard needs to make new lore characters, he said there are enough other popular characters beside jaina, thrall and anduin who could be more involved
Thematically I was way more excited for Shadowlands than Dragonflight or now The War Within. It just feel tasteless.
I find it so funny that people say that Xalatath simply having a plan gives off "Jailer Vibes" as if every single bad guy in all of Warcraft hasn't had a master plan. The Jailer lives rent free in everyones heads huh?
Remember Shadowlands bad!
I think it's called PTSD 😂
The dude forced anduin to watch skibi toilet videos.
Also fucking shitvanas did that for BfA and Shadownuts.
Then r o c k man does that in Dragonfap, enough with the fucking master planners!
@@Subject_Keter you're conveniently forgetting literally every villain in Warcraft

What about Garrosh getting the heart of Y'Shaarj and the Divine Bell?
What about Sargeras and the Burning Legions plans that spanned basically the entire game?
Plans are necessary for a villain, it just depends on how their executed. Iridikrob and Xalataths plans are convincing and make sense, the Jailers wasn't. Simply having a plan doesn't make you the same as the Jailer, it's basically a villain prerequisite
Less than 2 min into the vid.. and I have to ask.. why would you play the incomplete beta with missing story context to give a first impression?? That doesn't quite seem fair if I am honest...(now back to watching...)
The art team does a great job with the world, but it also seems very hollow and boring. I just don't feel anything special towards any of the new things. It looks great, but it's just missing something.
yeah it looks great but you cant do anything much in said area, people are just going to fly by or stop there for quest or inn and leave. good job art team...
because it's not an mmorpg. It's an action rpg, you don't interact with any real human and make no meaningful connections. Unless you got a group of friends to play with, retail is not a good experience.
@@Dayz3O6 maybe flying is the problem lol
I absolutely agree. The art team were great a few years ago but everything just has the same bland look these days. There's nothing new or original about any of it.
@@XFoX90 It's called being an introvert in the game
"Only this time, when I rounded the corner, Reno Jackson wasn't there. It was a giant robot, fought him, got a different power, it was cool"... "Everything was completely the same, nothing changed" 🤔
Seems like they're going for a wider variety of total delves we can do, rather than shifting things up a ton within each individual delve. But I'm glad there is that variety in powerups and enemy spawns!
You hit the nail on the head with need new lore characters. They literally pulled thrall from retirement. I just feel like there isn’t a change from being in shadowlands. No one new and it’s the same hero’s. I’m also not saying to start killing ppl off, I just want more variety. The world has gotten so much bigger yet I feel like I’m stuck in a group with these toons and every new experience is reused. Thrall also did not need to come back last time so idk why he is even still here. Jaina should be working on other shit in KT. Anduin is rly the only one I don’t mind seeing cuz he is a constant for ally characters in the sense that we all kinda grew up together.
Side note on battles moving forward. I would love battles to be more like the OG death knight starting zone where there is a progression to the battle and you have to actually put work into a battle not just kill a few guys and we are all good. It makes it feel like we are infantry being thrown against the bad guys and nothing more.
Not surprised you found the hammer throw onto the Nerubians lame... I mean isn't it just a rewash of the Lich King release where we had to drop stuff on the undead attacking Stormwind?
These Oribos / Zereth Mortis assets.........
Magni doesn’t want to talk Azeroth because she made him into diamond/stone whatever and doesn’t have feeling anymore, can’t hug his kin and feel their warmth. I’d be mad to if someone essentially made me numb
idk if 2hrs is enough time to make any judgement about a wow xpac
Looks like more of the same, and by that I mean pretty underwhelming. Every expansion has felt exactly the same since legion.
You're so right. I like WoW, I think the endgame is actually brilliant, but I skipped out on Dragonflight and I know I will skip out on The War Within, because the game is just way too formulaic, which in all fairness is NOT a bad thing, it just isn't what I am looking for right now.
I mean he did only play a few hours of it. There is new stuff like hero talents and a new allied race.
That's like, exactly every expac after legion
Bro made up a whole conclusion from a 20 minute video covering 2 hours of a beta build mostly covering story content.
And it becomes gayer and gayer
I've not played TWW beta yet. From what I've seen the expansion looks fun though, and I am excited for the release. I don't think it's gonna be some amazing new best expansion ever, but expecting that would be setting ourselves up for failure imo.
Overall, I like the direction WoW has been moving the last while, and I think TWW looks great so far
Nixxiom, as a Warhammer fan did you get that Dornogal is a play on the name Rogal Dorn, the Primarch of the Imperial Fists.
Did you think he'd reply?
wow i remember using zygor in wrath back in 2010. amazing it's still around.
Please, what is the music track playing around 15:20
Sounds like hearthstone but there's so many I can't pin it down🙏
You’re correct, this is music from Hearthstone.
It’s the “Lich King” theme from the Knights of the Frozen Throne expansion.
@YodragonWasTaken thank you so much, as soon as I saw this I checked and listened, I ended up listening to most of the tracks from the game from the start, it's so good! Have a nice week ahead.
I've tuned out of retail - its not my kind of game anymore, quit during BFA, played a little during Shadowlands and Dragonflight but I don't really have hope for retail to be the MMO I enjoy anymore, especially since I enjoy Classic. I think instead of learning from Classic on how to improve retail's social/reward experience, it's given retail freedom to lean into the instanced grind stuff that succeeds there and let Classic have the social/RPG element enjoying players. The only thing that WOULD have kept me in the retail ecosystem was story, but after BFA it's been such a mess that I don't care anymore. World ending disaster after world ending disaster, slowly killing off all major characters, redeeming every villain, blowing up major lore locations. I think Dragonflight was a good premise, as on the face it felt like a chance to do some more down to earth questing and exploring, but it looks like it very much ended up as a world ending threats again.
I think I'm tuned out of WoW until they possibly make a sequel, a fresh start and updated world, a proper modern AAA mmo. But also given ActiBlizz's track record I don't think I want them to have the chance to redesign WoW...-
I gotta be honest… looks boring af
I gotta be honest...nobody gives a fuck
@@KC-py5vqyou do. Stfu, you just replied. Let him have his own opinion and move on
@@KC-py5vq Awe, u mad bro?
Yeah, nothing here was unique enough to spark any kind of strong emotions in me.
I feel the same way. I wish I didn't
It's actually insane how thos cycle has continued for 20 years. I cannot imagine playing retail.
Retail is alright right now. It’s not as complex as people say it is, unless you only do mythic raids and play on high mythic keys.
It's good
achievement acquired: be squashed like a pancake

What bothers me about this expansion is that the colors remind me of Oribos, and I definitely feel like it doesn't offer me anything exciting
I have been saying MAGni and here you are with Mogni. Have I been saying it wrong all this time?
It's Magni :)
Dont worry, he's just american
Well... considering Warcraft was originally meant to be Warhammer until Goblin Workshop revoked the license... I would say that the influence makes sense.
Not quite. Blizzard didn’t have the license. They were pitching to GW to get the license but negotiations were going badly. GW couldn’t believe that computer games were ever going to be successful so they weren’t really interested in working on it. Blizzard were getting increasingly frustrated and in the end they mutually agreed to part. Hence why GW had never really gone after Blizzard for some of the things
Also it was Starcraft, not Warcraft
No. It was warcraft. Years before someone even came up with the idea for star craft.
@@richtea7868 Close enough!
@@richtea7868 Dude there is literally a interview with Michael Morhaime, where he stated they we're in the early steps of making a 40 k Game, but they werent giving the license. He Said , and I quote: "This Game became StarCraft". But hey, If you know more than the founder and developer props to you.
From what I have seen it isn’t really giving me any reasons to step away from Final Fantasy XIV or ESO. Not to say it looks bad. Just that it’s not really doing anything for me personally.
Hey guys I try not to use Add Ons at all to get a truer experience, but I would like the pvp damage add-on, what is the best and safest? Thanks all. Great vid Nixx
I'm liking the hero talent spec idea I've always enjoyed Rp so this is something thats interested me.
i hate how when i hit max level or finish the campaign, my road to gear progression has so much friction with m+ and raids and not having some guild i've been doing stuff with and can just go. i like the design of the m+ and raid fights tho. so i'm hoping delves will be that viable alternative i can just do right away without friction.
7:04 "Look at the city and look at the landscape, man, this place looks absolutely gorgeous"
No, it doesn't. It looks like the same generic graphics we've had for a decade if not more.
Yeah, it looks like Nagrand from WoD
I think if you'd done the next couple of zones your opinion might change a little bit... yeah the Isle of Dorn is a bit empty but I have a feeling it's not always going to be empty
At any time - ANY TIME! - I see Thrall's ugly expressionless mug on the screen, in art or in game, I immediately imagine how INFINITELY COOLER it would be if it had been Garrosh there.
The azeroth "saga" just sounds like one expansion stretched into three
as someone who logged thousands of hours in Dragonflight I'm stoked to see Jaina and Thrall etc! I'm sick of those damn Dragon people although Alexstrasa can always stick around of course xD
"And they say Blizzard games don't have bugs." - Anub'arak WC3
Good one 😅
Blizzard make more characters, back in "when we kill the deathwing, we all know about the son of the thrall" and we never see him.. GZ!
All I did in beta was create an earthen to see what I can make one look like and left it at that back in the day I beta tested the original vanilla game and the first three expansions in both alpha and beta, but that to me always ruin the experience so I quit doing that
I get that but in Vanilla the fire still burned so hot, that I played the US beta, the EU beta and EU retail from day one (incl. all the issues like horrible lag spikes xD). Now I more or less use them to test if I would want to sign up and play the expansion, which I haven't felt the urge to since Shadowlands (late beta invite) with BfA already hanging by a thin thread back then. Dragonflight I never got an invite and never started playing it besides a free test week. Didn't get a beta invite for this one so far.
OMG, the Earthen city looks almost spot on like the Dwarf starter area in LOTRO.
lol now that you mention it... It does remind me exactly of Gondamon...
But are actually leveling professions going to be as miserable and convoluted as they are in DF ?
yeah i didn't liked the timegating of professions and what i know is, they will continue to do the same thing for WW bah...
The hero talents get beter the more you lvl
so what i hear is they gatekeep the fun?
@@wight4991 no, you just level up
Definitely excited for TWW. That being said, I'm usually with the huge influx of players at the start of an expansion that dies off, with the only exception so far that I played every season in DF except season 3 when I was finishing college. If TWW can keep me playing throughout like DF did I'll be very happy.
I wish Yrel would make a comeback, i had such a huge crush on her

I MEAN
To be fear this is not the first time when Blizzard steal something
Like look at the StarCraft
This is literally Tyranyds / Space Marines and stuff
And WoW got A LOT from D&D
And all of them stole 99% from TLOTR
