That's a cool idea for your split level TH..I like the name as well..Intimidation..That will go into the builders of Tiny House Forum real easy and I'm betting there will be people fallow that concept. As your ceiling is so tall, I was scratching my head in the first part of the build, but now I can clearly see where your going with your build, and I like it. The whole of the TH will be very easy to live in too; Thanks for sharing your interesting and functional building plan with us all !!

im thrilled with your lofted living room thing.. I've been looking at tiny houses for a couple years now, trying to find one that has a lofted living room and a crawlspace/basement... yours is the first one i've seen. I love the idea. for my eventual build, I want to make a lofted floor with some storage spaces placed under the floor... the kind where you can reach down, lift up the floor panel to get into the storage section.
Need flooring and plywood to build cabinets and stairway and mine will be about done. Running trim and filling nail holes today. Framed in shower stall. All electrical tested out. Yours is looking great. Winters coming! You might want to put in some extra hours! Ha!
You should build a trap door over the stairs down to the bedroom. Would give you more usable floor space, allow you to reach the top of bookcase, could act as a "railing" for both sets of steps or prevent from falling from kitchen.

I would be too claustrophobic for such a thing, but looking forward to see how it will all turn out. This might become one of the more famous of the tiny houses like the Minum or Viny's house if done right.

something you said in the video peaked my intrest. You said that the plywood for your floor will come to the bottom of your door. I was wondering if you were just using plywood for the floor or if you intended to have any type of flooring on top of the plywood and are you allowing for that space under the door also? Place is looking great!

Yes. I can't remember the exact reason I did. But I think it had to do with plumbing and how my kitchen was laid out. Basically my scale model was flipped side to side to accommodate the shower which meant I had to move the kitchen sink which changed where my closet was going to be.

Tiny House Customs Makes sense. I'm glad I'm not the only who makes changes that seem random but have a good reason.
