It is unbelievable how well you've embraced this deceptively inexpensive technology and achieved such original and tasteful artistic expression that compares well with the best of what premiere percussionists on an acoustic set are capable of! Outstanding!!!
Well, cost is all relative. For instance, the prices of things have been going up not just in terms of actual numbers over the years, that actually in terms of real inflation versus wages... In other words, a lot of the most legendary pieces of guitar gear, in the past, are probably quite inexpensive by comparison to what we are expecting now... For instance, it would be interesting to see the actual cost of some of these pedals that Hendrix used, the cost then and then adjusted now for inflation and whatnot to see what the actual dollar value is as compared to stuff that's released currently, then versus now etc
@@FusionFingerDrum interesting position. If you want to accurately discuss cost, the other variables would include other factors. When old tech is associated with a desirable effect not duplicated by current iterations, it’s labeled “vintage” and priced higher. When old tech objectives have been subsumed by more current tech, the price drops! When some new tech provides advantages which cannot be easily duplicated and it’s been patented, the price is even higher. When new tech has no protected advantages, it competes with other iterations and is priced less. Thus, higher cost has to do with exclusivity (patented or no longer made or associated with some famous person) that provides some sonic advantages within some genre of music.
So, I was speaking relatively...as the cost of an acoustic drum kit would be far more for a very usable percussion sound using this far less expensive device.
Shuuuuuggs, that's some feel ❤
