Lmtf is killer. I saw them live and they were phenomenal. I got to meet them and asked if they'd play the song, but they said it was a little too sing songy😂. Love this song

Yeah, the beat is Cold and the Voice is very similar to Chester. And there's someone else in there. In the screams

for most of this song, you wouldn't think this is the same band that made the "dark side of heaven" song, though it does later start bringing that in.
this isn't like a bad thing or anything, just kinda funny is all.

I used to love Like Moths to Flames back in the day. I’m pretty sure the reason I stopped listening to them so much is the same reason this reaction won’t get very many views…
We’ve heard it all before. A lot of those late 2000’s/early 2010’s emo/hardcore bands kind of stayed in the same thematic pocket over the years. You’re guaranteed an album about the same thing over and over…
The vocalist is in pain. Their heart has been ripped out by whomever and the person who ripped it out is either a chaos worshipping destroyer, a false idol, a scheming Mephistopheles, a snake in the grass, or if the lyrics drop all decorum…just a plain old “evil bitch”.
Not that there’s anything wrong with that…when I was younger I was all about that shit but you can only hear so many songs about how someone hurt the songwriter before it feels stale.
That being said, music about pain is the most common theme of modern metal. Most metalheads (myself included) enjoy it in large part because of the way aggressive music can push the envelope so far beyond anything else. Both thematically, and musically. Some of my favorite heavy bands give me a kind of transcendent catharsis.
But, there’s so many different ways that the music can express pain as a concept, how it can make you perceive the source of that pain, and how those 2 things can lead to wildly different stories.
I love Cliff Beats and I’m also a metal head so I’d really love to see him react to some heavier music that’s not so…predictable.
Even the bigger, more established bands like Killswitch Engage, Rammstein, Thrice, Underoath, or Parkway Drive tackle this same theme of heartbreak and loss in a lot of different ways. The same can be said for more extreme bands like Silent Planet, Fit for an Autopsy, Between the Buried and Me, Rivers of Nihil, Architects (pre-2020), or Born of Osiris.
There’s so much variety in metal.
Either way, I love cliff and how he does his reactions. He’s a pure soul.
    Cheers

@@scottthebot2779 Not an issue at all for me haha. I started out as a scene kid and ended up a deathcore nerd. If it’s a lot heavier than I’m fuckin HERE FOR IT
