I just actually discovered BB couple years back and there's just something so solemn in their sound never heard it in other bands, they quickly became one of my favorite bands all time
The opening scream from “I will not bow” was my first metal experience and my god did it make an impact. Breaking Benjamin are still in my top 5 bands of all time.
If you've never heard "Breaking Bad Guy" by Jared Dines and Anthony Vincent, which is a cover of Bad Guy by Billie Eilish in the style of Breaking Benjamin, that's basically what it is. And it's a banger.
The thing with Breaking Benjamin is that you always know what you’re gonna get with this band. There gonna deliver big choruses, solid riffs, some screams here & there and by god Ben knows how to write stuff that you can just singalong too and that’s what I’ve always loved about this band is that there very easy to just vibe too.
"The heaviest band that is not meant to be heavy" couldn't have said it better myself. Ember was a kick in the mouth I wasn't expecting. They have heavy stuff but I think Ember has some of their heaviest tracks. Like "feed the wolf" and "tourniquet" are absolute eargasms.
yeah.... about LP... all the other bands will sound the same (crossfade, BB, 3DG...) but LP? LP will never be the same, they will never sound the same although there will be people who used to be in LP... so.... no... early LP fans will not look up to new LP, even when thet will play old songs, they will still sound like cheap cover band
I hope you continued on to the rest of their music. So many great songs out there like Lights Out (Dear Agony), Had Enough (Phobia), Until the End (Phobia), and Failure (Dark Before Dawn)
Breaking Benjamin was my first ever concert. I went with my dad in first grade and ben saw me walking around as a little kid and came up to me and gave me a dog tag he was wearing, I still have it to this day, I love this band from playing the halo games hearing blow me away, I love this new song and hope to go see them again some time in the future.
The reason I believe this story is because I live in New Zealand and I met a roadie for the Sex Pistols. He was a homeless drug addict on a bus. My friend and I didn't believe him, and out of a dirty sports bag he pulled photos of him much younger with Johnny Rotten. We couldn't believe it, he had other photos with the Ramones and The Clash and bands like this, 70s/80 punk. Was he a roadie? Dunno, possibly, probably not. He did have cool stories and photos, though. Does your Unc know Ben? Although it sounds like it is far-fetched, it is way more believable than my story and I know mine happened
Just went to their live show in September, Ben was talking about he was getting old n stuff and I figured that meant they were done making songs... This is definitely a welcome surprise!
I've been kinda out of the loop with Breaking Benjamin in the recent years so I wasn't sure what to expect when this popped up on my spotify homepage, but this gave me such huge Phobia vibes and made me so nostalgic. Felt like I was 9 getting into the band for the first time again for a minute.
I discovered BB one day back in 2004 while I was in a Newbury Comics store buying a Killswitch Engage CD. I was 24, and have been a fan since. I've them seen live them a few times as well. I still have that CD to this day. I haven't listened to them in a while, but I never skip to another XM station when I hear them on satellite radio. Time to add this one to my Playlist.
With Skillet going back to their more mid 2000s sound, Linkin Park coming back full swing, Three Days Grace bringing Adam back while keeping Matt as well, AND Breaking Benjamin dropping a single, I am happy I grew up listening to these bands. (Not to mention STARSET is also doing pretty good with TokSik)
Now I just need Thousand Foot Krutch to return to the sound from their 2009 album Welcome to the Masquerade. That CD shaped my youth. Much later I checked out their other albums and was underwhelmed.
@@MetalHeadSkully I heard the album itself might be leaning more towards that style, but unpopular was a step in the right direction. Hopefully it follows through.
BB will always feel like a walk home to my roots. Love the nostalgic and epic chorus and completely agree with Nik as BB was my gateway band in middle/high school....which eventually helped make my way to ADTR, We came as Romans, Beartooth, Architects etc.
Bens voice is just fantastic as always. I listened to this 3 times today with my fiance. We both love BB. The chrous was just so beautiful and this song goes hard. Welcome back Breaking benjamin, three days grace and linkin park. I'm a kid again and i have the CHILLS! LET'S GO!
Man! Anberlin with Matty, Haste the Day, Breaking Benjamin, Silverstein...my god the elder emo in me is ✨️THRIVING✨️ lol! So many oldies coming back with a vengance!
Ben posted a video not too long ago at one if theur concerts where he was thanking fans saying something like "Im just grateful you guys still want more from us"
Breaking Benjamin, even after going into metal more in the last 10 years, are still considered my favorite band since discovering them in 2008. Dear Agony is the first song I learned how to play
as a huge BB and MIW fan I didn't realize how well MIW emulated their sound bcuz the whole time I was like "this could be a MIW song" bcuz of how Ben sings. I never realized just how similar their vocal styles are. i personally love the fact they took so much inspiration from BB bcuz this bands music is just so timeless. i hope we get a new album from them soon.
Honestly, this is what i needed from BB. I am chronically ill and so is Ben so he inspires me. Dear Agony(the song not the album) got me through a lot, it was my "fight song" for a long time and still is, but this is my next "fight song". The part that really solidified this for me is "I still hear the call of life..... stay forever in the light I awaken I survive" Especially the "I survive"
They're my gateway band and let me tell you, it's beyond reviewing their work. I'm just grateful for anything and everything they put out. Just so wholesome man they feel like home😭
Metalcore scene is delivering this year. Holy shit. All these bands making a comeback & BB releasing their first song in 6 years. Freaking hype for next year 🤯
I was BB live and they were FANTASTIC. This last song is literally a PERFECT melding of their older stuff and their newer stuff, taking the best parts of both and just making your earholes happy.
The entire Death of Peace of Mind album by Bad Omens sounds like it takes HUGE influence from early Breaking Benjamin (I don't believe they really did, but there are so many subtle similarities in the riffs and song structure).
I haven't listened to BB since like 2019, but when youtube snuck this song into my random playlist while cycling I had to rewind because I was like "wtf, is this a new BB song?". The sound is so recognizable.
I saw them Headline with The Pretty Reckless, Beartooth, and Sevendust last year and then saw them and Jinjer open for Disturbed last summer. They rock live
Breaking Benjamin was the band that got me into metal. Favorite band as a kid. About a year ago I relistened to all the albums and it was just banger after banger. All their old stuff is excellent from first to last. They’re again my favorite band

What is making me so happy is that everyone I've seen doing a reaction to BB has nothing but kind words and appreciation, you can call it nostalgia, I will always say that everyone loves BB
I STILL jam out to everyone of their albums when I mow my yard. And I’m almost 40. Their music never gets old. They have stayed true to their style through the years. Will always be my favorite band.
Super consistent band, favorite of all time! I love how they can fit into a different genre with every album.. numetal at time, metal core sometimes, post grunge, alt rock, soft rock, all of it at points! I like that this is them.. no label, no overhead, just them making their own stuff!
Havent listen to much BB the last couple of years, but ngl, this song just make me wanna be 15 again, and put diary of Jane on repeat while farming honor points in Arathi Basin.
I saw your thumbnail with Breaking Benjamin and I quickly went to the original video to listen to it first. I could not be more happy knowing they are making music after what feels like forever!
to me , they fit into the category of like alter bridge, shinedown etc where its catchy but heavy, i think the catchiness is what turns alot of the metal heads off their sound
Breaking Benjamin is peak middle school nostalgia. Breath makes me cry sometimes cause all the memories come flooding back. For a “butt rock” group, they’re really really good.
I'm from Bulgaria, and some badass that apparently was in charge of choosing songs for a lil bulgarian show called "Съдби на кръстопът" (Fates on Crossroads) chose to have the opening to be "Diary of Jane".. and cus of this i was introduced to this GOATED band, my favorite to this day

Love It hitting a bit harder. Always been a big fan of BB. His collaboration tune with Scooter from Cold was phenomenal. Not heavy but thought it was great
I remember back as a little kid I used to play an early 2000's motocross game with a banger soundtrack. And my favorite song on there was Natural life from Saturate. That was probably one of my earliest music influence and kickstarted my decend into heavier music, discovering so many great bands along the way. I will always have a special place in my heart for breaking benjamin
This is what music can do better than anything - puts you right back in a place and time from 20 years ago, I need a Halo 2 multiscreen link up / hang out with the boys ASAP!!!!!
Just saw them live with Staind like two weeks ago. People stayed for BB then like 25% of the crowd disappeared before Staind even hit the stage. WTF’sies.
they manage to keep a sound thats distinct, signature, and can be clearly identified. All of their songs sound similar, but all are very different. The core elements of how they compose tracks stay with every song, but they can use multiple elements to vary and make it all sound put together and give each track its own character. This is definitely the radio friendly release, I cant wait cause I know they have a solid brain blasting heavy track start to finish in this one coming up
What I appreciate about Breaking Benjamine is their sound hasn't changed much. You can hear old, mid, and new BB in every album they've released. I love it. They know what they are and stick to it!!!
My personal tastes in metal range from Megadeth to Nile to Opeth to fucking Epica and Nightwish to Cattle Decapitation, Dream Theater, Enslaved and Dying Fetus. Breaking Benjamin slaps. If you don't agree, your opinion is the incorrect one.
BB was a huge part of my early teenage music journey. Always loved these guys, got to see them in 2019 in their home town with 3 days grace and they FUCKING SMASHED IT! Until The End is still their best track
Day is made! I was thinking like 3 days ago it's getting time for a new BB album. When BB drops a new album, you're not going to ehsr epic Dream Theater, you're not going to hear cutting edge metal... You're going to hear chunky fun riffs, catchy chorus, some song screaming and ya gonna have a good time. I'm all for it.
People forget how their debut album Saturate is filled with heavy bangers like Phase, Water, Home, Polyamorous, Shallow Bay, Wish I May etc... give it a shot :)
Breaking Benjamin has been one of the most consistent bands in history and have NEVER disappointed!
Ben more so than anything, it's 99% him. Dude doesn't miss.
I would also add 7dust and Chevelle. They been very consistent throughout their career
That's one thing I love about them. I know what I'm gonna get
Proof that a band can have essentially the same sound throughout their careers and still be amazing.
@@HolyAd3pt It's crazy because they have the same sound, but it evolves in each album. Really impressive.

I will always have a special place in my heart for breaking benjamin
Vocals be popping in this one
This is what music can do better than anything - puts you right back in a place and time from 20 years ago, I need a Halo 2 multiscreen link up / hang out with the boys ASAP!!!!!
Just saw them live with Staind like two weeks ago. People stayed for BB then like 25% of the crowd disappeared before Staind even hit the stage. WTF’sies.
Awesome by BB
My dad and I left after BB played lol. He doesn't even like BB but only went becuase I love them.
they manage to keep a sound thats distinct, signature, and can be clearly identified. All of their songs sound similar, but all are very different. The core elements of how they compose tracks stay with every song, but they can use multiple elements to vary and make it all sound put together and give each track its own character. This is definitely the radio friendly release, I cant wait cause I know they have a solid brain blasting heavy track start to finish in this one coming up
We've been waiting for new BB, and they did not disappoint.
Ashes of Eden is a masterpiece of a song
My range is from Bilmuri to Meshuggah
@@ericmartinperez929 Love me some Meshuggah but I'm more fond of their earlier material if I'm gonna be honest.
GRAAAYYYSTOOOONNNEE!!! 🪨🪨🪨🪨🪨🪨🪨🪨
BB was my gateway band as a kid. Absolutely love everything they've released since their first album
Chevelle, breaking Benjamin and thrice. Always my go to band. They never disappoint
that descending run on the solo.. is the BB lick. Same from So Cold. Dope
