- I am 14 Kg lighter than at the start of this year and wanted to know what effect that weight loss was having...so I added it back on and went up the Alpe.

it's a learned skill. you can get better at abiding the discomfort. You won't go from zero to Mark Lewis overnight. Practice enduring the discomfort...a few seconds at a time at first, then build up your mind's ability to overcome it. Go slow, too, so you'll learn what's regular old discomfort, versus "I just broke something"
I personally think this is your best video and I think I've watched nearly all of them. So funny with Nixon, he loved it.

Great video with Nixon! I just noticed that it made it to the main page of ZwiftInsider yesterday. The title was "Dog climbs the Alpe". I'd post the link to the page but I think youtube deletes posts automatically with URL's in them. Anyway, great pics of you and Nixon on their post about it and they mentioned how you had lost weight this year and added Nixon back as the weight you had lost.

118KG to 95.7KG so far. Sub one hour took 15months 💥
The Nixon arrow tuck and blooper real at the end...... hysterical. I started Zwifting towards the end of 2020 at petite 205 lbs and over the year dropped 12 lbs. At 6'5 I have to agree is nice to keep the power and apply it to a lighter lump. As an experiment I am going to keep my Z-weight at 205 when I train over the winter months which will now include some C races; thanks for that as the wife will appreciate me droning on and on about cycling during the "off" season. Blaming you is ok I assume and it that doesn't work I will show her Nixon however that could back fire as she does want a pooch. I will also keep that setting in my attempts to break 70 and 65 min up AdZ and take 10-15 minutes off my VenTop time of 115 min. Good stuff.

I used that same backpack for a few years to take my dog to work. He loved it, and the squeals of "how cuuuuuuuttteee!" from girls on the sidewalk wasn't so bad... Curious to see your time without the dog. I bet you'd be aiming for sub :50 now. Since you don't do the alpe all that often, you might not know it keeps your last 30 days PR and shows you what you have to beat for each turn. Exactly what you do with your spreadsheet. Also, Strava gives a much better overview of w/kg - unlike zwift, which I think takes your start and decent into account. Still aiming for sub 60, but see a definite improvement in health and weight the more I do it.

respect! i also dropped a lot of weight from cycling after being a lifter. Went from 102>92>82kg over the c3yrs. I'm now taking down many KOMs and can get a sub 1hr on the Alpe

Great video!!! Nixon had a very high level of concern at the intro/start but settled in when he treated your neck like a cow would a salt lick. Lincoln wasn't having any of your gibberish, lol. He might have pulled a Mike Tyson and chomped on your ears.

You do Push yourself hard , the shaking on the bike for the hour TT looked extreme . 94 kg looks like a great weight for your height and build , you look in great nic . I’m trying to lose the weight , it’s tough at aged 58 , my run times are coming down though , did 23.30 park run yesterday , currently 96kg , height 6.2 , target weight 82kg, done min 100 push ups a day for the last 15 years , no aches and pains . Liked and subbed

I've watched quite a lot of your content and was initially really loving it - started running some 5 K's gym treadmill although I haven't run with purpose for some years (I'd been influenced....bu*ger) . I then had my moments of doubt and fear the more I watched (various reasons all of which you identify and address in other content). If you had just produced Lincoln earlier ... all my fears and doubts would have been allayed.... Bully's rule - and they don't care a jot about your so called "repercussions" .. it takes a certain person to own one. I'm staying subscribed... please carry on ... Mr Lewis .. (Looking forward to the new motorbike reveal / video).

Love Nixon, but Lincoln at the end was killing me. That’s 100% the experience I’d have if I tried this with my dog 😂 Also def going to start thinking of the weight I’ve lost in terms of dogs; it really drives it home. I doubt I could even pick up a 110lb dog, and that’s what I was carrying around every day? Dang, no wonder I was tired all the time.

I loved this. Your first attempted made me have a go. But at 260kg wasn't a great idea! I did make it... last 5k killed me.
Ah mate... Great effort... I did Alp du Zwift about a month a go at 120kg/6ft/same haircut... but grossly under prepeared. Just wanted to see if I could. I did complete it but took 2 hours 18mins... about 15mins of which can be associated to the fact I also broke the clip on my shoe!
