@@justalilbester haha no, but I was starting a rep soon anyway so when I saw you I just went for it to see what your race pace was like. And like I said, strong run…after 200m I was done 😅
I managed my longest run in the past week....14km and a pb at a parkrun course. You are helping to motivate me with your videos. Thanks for your videos.
Nick i absolutely love the format of these race videos! So many other youtubers prefer to only show clips of the race but for me watching the full thing with your commentary is miles more intresting! Your tips are also amazing at helping me crush pb after pb every parkrun!
Well done nick I’m only 13 yesterday I got a pb of 18:27 and I hope to run as fast as you one day you are one of my inspirationions and role models though.
Big fan of you Nick and your channel. I love your positive attitude and drive. When I saw your "near miss" in this video it reminded me of a run where I was deep in conversation with a running partner and ran straight into a street bin! I was in a lot of pain but the embarrassment was worse! 😀
These thumbnails are top tier. But really enjoying following you along! Started watching your Parkrun 5K race voiceovers in the winter on my treadmill runs to stay motivated and pass the time. Keep getting Bester ;)
YES!! another 5K!! I'm not as good a runner as you are but looked like you could've gone a tad harder. Could be wrong! You got it! I've been having shin splints, so I've been focusing on cross training :/ I sure want to run very soon though!
Running 3:55mins per km. thinking how in the hell am I going to get that down to 3min per km. your speed is just crazy I can’t ever imagine getting to that level
I found myself leading the pack Saturday for 3 laps of the 3.5 at Gloster City. I was screaming in my head for someone to take over and give me a break. So much easier to follow than lead 😂. Well done
Another great video Nick and yes I was shouting out loud at people too get out yr way.. 🙈Roller blades nearly taking Amy out... 😭😂....Boommmsshhhaakkkalaka.....1st place next time... Ya... 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🏃🏻♂️🏃🏻♂️🏃🏻♂️x
Yeah Amie does an amazing job. On the bike, filming and capturing the whole race clearly, whilst dodging things in a very busy park, at 20kms per hour. Talent 👌🏻
@@justalilbester I'd never ran in Battersea until last Monday evening. The amount of people, dogs, bikes, prams, runners in the opposite direction was unreal, never seen this many people and obstacles before.
@@nikolaykumchev9530yeah it’s crazy hey. It’s the ideal loop for runners too. Hence why you have to stay so alert during these races. The lead bike does a phenomenal job too I must say. It’s the most run park in the whole of the UK
Great race and well done 👍. I just raced my first 5k and got 19:53. I was just wondering when you would recommend to kick at the end and how fast to go out at the start because I was dead after 2 km.
Wouldn’t have been better to shelve the morning session rather than try combine both? Would have been great to get sub 15 again and finally get 1st place in this series (finally) 😅
Great video and fantastic running. Question about running strategy: I normally run my own 5k runs as you described in the video, however you also mentioned here that you should try to work as a group when you have people around - that sounds a bit contradictory to me. Which one do you focus on more, or do you reconcile both in some way?
If there are people to work with in and around you. Do it, it makes a big difference. But don’t fall back or speed up massively in order to do so. Hope that makes sense 👊🏻 judge it on race day
maybe to run 2:20 in berlin you could implement more core workouts into your training, might bring your knees up and increase your stride length, up to you tho :)
Why do you always set off so fast at the beginning 200/400? Isn’t that a waste of energy? I know adrenaline but if you controlled it a bit more it may help in the last km. just my thought though! And could be gps problem!! Please correct me if I’m wrong! Love your content man ❤
GPS might be a bit jumpy right in the beginning. You always want to get into a good position. But yes, having said that, you want to conserve as much well energy as possible too.
Might be the video but it looks like your arm drive is getting very weak towards the end. Might be worth it to do a bit of specific shoulder training in the gym
Personally I'd recommend the Huawei Watch GT Runner, as it offers standard wireless charging (any non-proprietary wireless charger works) and extremely accurate sensors, priced at a fraction of similar Garmin options. It also lasts over 10 days of moderate use for me.
Respect to Peter. Phenomenonal💪
So glad I caught him at the end. What a great outlook to life!
