- Bonifacio GLOBAL City is a financial business district in Taguig, Metro Manila, Philippines. Posh and clean city area. High raised buildings, huge malls and walking spaces makes the place a must see in Manila. It is definitely the most posh suburb in Manila and used to be American army barracks which has been turned into a Global City but the BIG question is, IS BGC REALLY A GLOBAL CITY? I agree that BGC is actually a very safe place. Been going here for years and as a pedestrian, I live crossing the roads because motorists actually respect the pedestrian lanes here!

Maybe they named it Global City because of foriegn nationalities from across the globe living there.

Inthink they name it a global city coz of their multiple,foreign businesses,investors situated there and still expanding and continously having these infrastructures going on! That is not a global city as compared to new york paris etc!better the international recognition company to recognize BGC as par with LA paris london etc! Maybe in the future perhaps!

Africa continent dont have single city that comparable to like BGC ,MAKATI of Manila i been to Johannesburg, Durban, Cape town and all these cities might be the most developed cities in the entire continent of africa but these cities are nothing in front of MANILA, PHILIPPINES. also MANILA economy is far bigger compared to the entire country of Nigeria how mind blowing is that city is richer than a country.
Well, this was never the essence of this video. We are not trying to compare but to highlight the FACT that BGC deserves to be recognized by the world rankings as a Global City. How did you come up with such thoughts after watching this?
