@@faiz2011 looks like they are called Barrel Hinges in English. Plenty of varieties at Amazon UK. I’ve never seen them before myself.
@@randomscandinavian6094 Sometimes called butt hinges too ! google 8mm 180 Degree Rotation Antique Butt Hinge or 8mm 180 Degree Hinge and you should find something suitable locally !

Best sanding block idea so far
Certainly elegant. I think back over the hours upon hours I've spent using sanding blocks with wedges to hold the paper. This might not have been able to replace them all, but at least some of them.
this is definitely the most simplest version of a sanding block i've ever seen. Even with traditional sanding blocks/holders, they require a second detachable lid with screws you need to tighten on each end. thats 4 separate parts. This simply goes beyond that, requiring almost no extra detachable parts and with a folding mechanism.
i really hope you can hold credit for yourself as the first creator of this design since you really opened my eyes on how innovated it is

After some googling I found out they're called barrel hinges. For example: www.soss.com/product/barrel-hinge/
I am desperate to find out how to buy these little things. Sadly, I don't even really know how to google it. Variants like "dowel hinge" and "peg hole hinge" aren't giving me much success. Lol.

Написав про шарниры для футляра очков, подумал, а " не болтнул я чего лишнего"( по Штирлицу).Неплохую идею подкинул для изготовления дерев.футляров( при наличий таких шарниров, как у тебя.Вижу по рукам, что моложе меня)

Похоже , что на фанерной.Чувак с головой.Вот только советую острые грани убрать( снять фаску, дабы не не стиралась в этих местах шлифшкурка).А так идея отличная.Но вот где вы находите такие шарниры.В наших столичных рынках днем с прожектором не сыщешь.Вот искал похожий шарнир-автомат на замену сломанного в футляре для очков.Теперь очки не могу носить с собой: так неудобно!
