I don't usually comment on TH-cam videos, but I feel like you deserve a very rare (probably even collectible) comment in order to thank you Lithium. Your videos and collection has inspired me to start my own Nintendo 64 collection. I constantly use your videos for reference and education. I can't have seen myself ever being interested in collecting, but you seem to have changed all of that. Searching for deals and buying N64 hardware has started taking up a lot of my time and money (which I am happy about in case you didn't realise!). Thank for your contributions to Nintendo collecting and the internet. Have a nice day. From an undisgruntled viewer. EDIT Now owner of 5 Nintendo 64s, a ton of boxed games, controllers and other awesome stuff
As always, well done! I currently have 3 N64's: #1 with Atomic Purple, #6 and #8. I'd eventually like to get the Orange, Watermelon, Orange Pikachu, and Daiei Hawks models as well. Thanks for doing this!
Currently I am trying to start my very own Nintendo 64 collection and this video has helped me out a whole lot! I love your dedication and how you even made a video about the fake and real Daiei Hawks Nintendo 64. You truly are an inspiration!!
Great guide! I have the original grey, ice blue, and light blue pikachu myself! I picked up the pikachu loose in 2012 for $60USD and it included the mario kart controller boxed. Always good to see collections increasing in value :)
While searching for custom N64's, I managed to come across this video from 2012. I clicked it and heard "I plan on doing one of these every year" so I looked at your channel and saw this uploaded yesterday. What a coincidence xD
Can you please do an update video about how much these prices have skyrocketed? Just the box alone on a lot of these is more than your pricing estimate for CIB. Crazy times!
Still interesting as always. Your collection has grown a lot since this video (Your collection never stops growing). I have the standard, Charcoal UK version of the N64 console (Because I live in the UK). If I were rich 💰 and have a very big space, then I would start collecting 16 (16 as my limit just like you) Nintendo 64 systems.
Nicely done Lithium, I still need Fire and Smoke for the Funtastics, other than that I only have the standard set, the pikachu north american set, and the star wars set.
Nintendo Collecting Hey Lithium! I love your collecting , I watch dem everydai , anyhow I just went on ebay to take a look and I found an amazing boxed N64 , I've never it before, Here's the link. www.ebay.com/itm/N64-Nintendo-64-Control-Deck-TWIN-CONTROLLER-PAK-Complete-PAL-Boxed-console-pack-/151272540953?pt=AU_Consoles&hash=item23388bcb19
It's strange I have, what I assume is, the Funtastic Ice Blue 64. I got it at a rummage sale for $5, so I'm not entirely sure. In any event, it's not nearly as blue as your Ice Blue console. It's more of a turquoise and leans towards the color of your Clear Blue and Clear White console. I wonder what the deal is, did the colors simply vary that much?
Great video lithium. Just got back into N64 collecting yesterday. Picked up your average plain black system with Super mario 64. Luckly I had the atomic purple box lying around at home, so now I have a boxed n64 :) watching this vid makes me kick myself though. I remember buying a jungle green console with the expansion pack at EB in '09 for 15 bucks. should have never sold it :(
Was waiting for this i dident know if i bought the Clear blue/white for a good price but yeah i did but not planing on buying a box not now atleast. cant wait for the controll becouse i really need 2 and want a matching and thanks alot for the Videos keep it going. one last thing xD i would really like to see you do some letsplays on som N64 games :D
I don't have the box anymore, but I remember that my box variation of the charcoal set came with a gray and atomic purple controller, a copy of Pokemon stadium and a memory card adapter.
I haven't watched your video yet, but it will be very useful for me as I started creating a little collection (want to own every Nintendo console/handheld). Bought the black one a few days ago with 6 games (including Super Mario 64) and two regular controllers for €30. Found it an okay price :)
WOW..right in the childhood :) thnx for the video..I had the fire orange console and controller with ocarina of time for my first game..best memories ever
My cousins (they were in Japan at the time due to my uncle being stationed there for military purposes) Had both the Daiei Hawks and the Jusco N64. My cousin had the Daiei Hawks and his sister had the Jusco console. Who knew they would have been worth so much. They still have the Daiei Hawks console, but unfortunately, the Jusco one died back in 2011.
Hey lithium, great video! Just wanted to let you know that the toys r us gold console was actually released in 2001 and not 1998 in North America. The gold console in Japan was released in 1998 but not the North American version. You can tell because it advertises new games on the back like paper mario which didn't come out until 2001. Fantastic videos, keep it up! :)
aw man prices have gone up so much on N64's or any retro consoles/games in Australia. For a regular N64 out of box the cheapest you'll find it for is $120 with one controller.
+Nintendo Collecting sweet! i'll keep an eye out for it. And yeah prices for anything in Australia is ridiculous. It sucks because I only earn $70 a week being 16 and I only put $50 a week towards my collection and here that's really not that much at all.
I'd like to add my thoughts on the 64DD. It came in two package variations. Most units were purchased through Randnet, coming bundled with a modem and a Randnet disk. Towards the end of its short lifespan, it was also sold in a separate packaging at select stores. About 15,000 were sold, but Nintendo had a buy-back program for Randnet subscribers, so the number of surviving units is likely lower. Nintendo 64DD Regions: JAP Rarity: 8 (Randnet), 10 (Standalone) Loose: 200 - 300 Complete: 350 - 500 (Randnet), 700 - 800 (Standalone) Mint: 500 - 600 (Randnet), 1,000+ (Standalone)
Wow, the Pikachu N64 was my very first video game console. (All the way to the right, second to the top) I still have it to this day, along with it's blue and yellow controller. I also have the standard model now too.
I got lucky a few years ago when I bought my watermelon red n64.i paid $30 for it almost cib.all it was missing was the manuals and other paper work.other than that everything (meaning the box) was in fairly great shape.the console and accessories awesome shape
It would be cool to see a 2022 version of this video for the pricing. I looked up a few of these, today there is a Pokemon Stadium Battle Set box going for $850 (box only) 😢
Seen the "old" one more then 10 times but still really looking forward to this one mate. Got rid of most of my >"see through" 64.s but kept and orange/jungle green and i mixed em;) Looks out of this world cool. And ofcource Ive kept my NIB orange Pikachu;) Awsome Lithium.....as allways;)
I remember, when I was first buying my N64, there was both a Pokemon Battle Set, or a bundle with two controllers and a mystery game. Because I was a kid, we went the console with game. I still want to get a PBS sometime - and yes, I'm Australian! :p
My pal n64 is in a charcoal ntsc shell bc I needed it to speedrun and guy wanted the eu pokemon n64 so he switched boards and I got the leftovers for rly cheap and it didnt have to be mailed overseas.
God I remember growing up with my original grey N64, and seeing the Pikachu N64 in the Nintendo official magazine (uk magazine), I begged for it but my mum refused to get me it as I had the grey one.
You should do an update video to see if anything is worth more/less of if you've found anything new since this video. Also, I just bought the orange funtastic console pretty much mint in box. It has the sticker on the jumper pack that says "do not remove. See instruction manual" or something along those line. If I remove that and put in the expansion pack, does that lower the value any?
Funny that the gold is an 8 because my neighbor had a Gold N64, and he was nice so when we moved he let us keep his gold N64 controller. (He would leave some of games and controllers at our house because he played them there a lot.) It's just interesting to see things that you never thought were that significant being rather interesting.
Nintendo Collecting You're in a lucky locale. In Australia the plain simple Charcoal console loose will cost $50-$80 from a pawn shop. $50-$150 from a gaming store. In box will be $100+ no matter what. Mint probably close to $500:/ Sadface. Love your collection. Good going and all the best!
Hands down the best console in the world!! When I was 5 I would go to my grandpas house and down in his basement was an old n64 9 years later I am still obsessed with it!
hello , I have 25 x n64 games , most are the popular ones , cartridges only have been pull out of its box one time and boxes and papers sit for whole time in a closet , games got played , some high some low amounts of times , do you have any idea of their worths ? thank you
are there not 2 version of the japan yellow and orange console? on ebay there is the standart yellow orange and one that looks red and orange but is also called yellow orange console.
I'd love to do a 2025 version. I am currently focused on catching up on my recent items I picked up and filming the 2024 Room Tour before I so more pricing guides, but I'd like to!
Ey Lithium, i must ask about a thing: Im from sweden and i have 2 PAL N64's. one "grape purple" and one weird; it looks like a "clear blue / white", but without the white bottom, is it different in Europe or is it just a really really old and misscoloured "ice blue"? I'd think it would be weird if it was a "ice blue" since it's not even blue...
Hey i really hope you read this & answer me but how do you feel about modified N64's ? Like the awsome smash bros one or the Mario kart or types like that in general
Any advice on how much you should pay for a used N64 (garage sale/flea market)? Want one to play, not to collect but don't want to get my eyes gouged. Also is there any where to buy actual brand new/unopened N64's? (I know ebay or craigslist, but any other options?)
N64 sounds really expensive but honestly it’s like 50 60 for a gray consle and then like 100 for the a clear one and games pretty inexpensive and as someone that usually stays away from expensive consles I just had to get a GameCube but my family would kill me if I used eBay.
How much does an unopened (sealed) Nintendo 64 Funtastic Smoke / Clear Black Console cost in the USA? Where can sell one unboxed/unopened Nintendo 64 Funtastic Smoke / Clear Black Console? Thank you.
I didn't read through all the comments but one of our local collectors here in town has a white 64 majora's mask special edition. I have never seen that one until recently last year.
i had a jesco n64, and the other day i found it in the garage under a bunch of boxes, we moved to this house in 2006 and that jesco n64 has been out there for 9 years, it still works perfect and is in mint condition, and i have the box, no shrink wrap tho and the box is kinda beat up, but its nice
#Awesome I always wanted the Atomic Purple N64 just to go along with the Atomic purple controller i bought at the pawn shop. I also wanted the Gold N64 console because it looks so cool and as a anime fan, I wanted that Pikachu N64 console. I'm sure the rarity of these N64 consoles make the prices pretty steep.
I paid $520 Australian Dollars for a never been opened Pikachu ToysRUs set on eBay. It was actually the cheapest listing for a mint boxed console in a long time. Most people are asking for a grand now... It's crazy.
Jordan Davies cool! I’m in Canada as well as Nintendocollector and it wasn’t that common.. there was A LOT of the funtastic consoles..I had an ice blue one as a kid :)
I have the atomic purple bundle. I got it for $60 shipped and it has a lot of the bags and it's complete. It's pretty mint overall so I think it was a good deal.
I have both the Charcoal Black and Ice Blue N64 consoles, if I was to collect more colours, my next one on the list would be the Jungle Green or Watermelon Red (despite living in Australia, I'd use a region free cartridge for the WR). Also the Charcoal Black I got off eBay for $70-80 and as for the Ice Blue $200.
I just read about a Nintendo 64 Karstadt Edition (it's a starry blue console), I think it's a german store exclusive, but couldn't find any aditional info... Do you know something?
Looking for a watermelon red funtastic color console with 2 matching controllers any help on where to look other than eBay would be helpful will be for use so doesn’t have to be mint or have box
do you have the iQue? The thing released in japan its a n64 device inside a controller made only in china. Made by Nintendo too! Tell me if you have it. it goes for like 130-150$ USA on ebay
I don't usually comment on TH-cam videos, but I feel like you deserve a very rare (probably even collectible) comment in order to thank you Lithium. @@Irraptured Nearly 5 years later? I've been thinking about it yep!
I wanted to collect them all and then I watched this and said "I don't want to be that guy".
Can you make an updated list?
As always, well done! I currently have 3 N64's: #1 with Atomic Purple, #6 and #8. I'd eventually like to get the Orange, Watermelon, Orange Pikachu, and Daiei Hawks models as well. Thanks for doing this!
Just the overall pure joy and genuine excitement you have about talking these consoles is more wholesome and enjoyable then the damn topic
Currently I am trying to start my very own Nintendo 64 collection and this video has helped me out a whole lot! I love your dedication and how you even made a video about the fake and real Daiei Hawks Nintendo 64. You truly are an inspiration!!

Your N64 collection is awesome. Even to this day. Can you do an update on the N64 rareaty price guide please. Thank you.

So you are still saying that you have 7 different N64 consoles or more :P #Awesome
yeah :/ I don't really try to focus on them, Im more going for games than systems, but I'd love to get them all some day
siccooper After all, the games are what we got into collecting for. Each of the consoles really does the exact same thing

I just checked eBay as of July 16th, 2015 and most boxed N64s regardless of color/edition go for anywhere between $200-$500 which is insane!
This needs another update i have the orange one boxed and ebay has priced it crazy

It would be cool to see a 2022 version of this video for the pricing.
I looked up a few of these, today there is a Pokemon Stadium Battle Set box going for $850 (box only) 😢
I live in the uk and I got an amazing deal, it was the grape one with two controllers and 10 games for £10, it was a good day!
Not sure why the color of the plastic makes it "interesting" or "fun" , but whatev. Seems like a handy guide for people into this.
I picked up a gold system with two controllers back in 2012 for about $50. Pretty stoked on that.
What game
My pal n64 is in a charcoal ntsc shell bc I needed it to speedrun and guy wanted the eu pokemon n64 so he switched boards and I got the leftovers for rly cheap and it didnt have to be mailed overseas.
I only found ONE of the Pokemon Stadium Consoles on ebay and the gold one was common.

Most definitely. If we all knew what would become valuable when we were kids things would be really different

Just sniped a gold n64 off eBay for 60 CAD. I'm glad it's worth much more then I payed!!

Will you do a more updated version of the pricing guide as this version is coming to be almost 2 years old soon.
I got the clear smoke black when it came out i loved that variant of it i wish i still had mine.
Do you know about the Hyundai Comboy 64? Basically a Nintendo 64 marketed by Hyundai in South Korea with some custom writing on it.
are there not 2 version of the japan yellow and orange console? on ebay there is the standart yellow orange and one that looks red and orange but is also called yellow orange console.
Can u do 2024 version would be awesome
I'd love to do a 2025 version. I am currently focused on catching up on my recent items I picked up and filming the 2024 Room Tour before I so more pricing guides, but I'd like to!
One of my friends is looking for a console and i always refer to you. Thank you Lithium!
@Nintendo Collecting have you made an update of this video?

I bought my pikachu Nintendo 64 today and Im hyped
Hey i really hope you read this & answer me but how do you feel about modified N64's ? Like the awsome smash bros one or the Mario kart or types

Very nice video, subscribed!
Love your collection dude
N64 sounds really expensive but honestly it’s like 50 60 for a gray consle and then like 100 for the a clear one and games pretty inexpensive and as someone that usually stays away from expensive consles I just had to get a GameCube but my family would kill me if I used eBay.
How much does an unopened (sealed) Nintendo 64 Funtastic Smoke / Clear Black Console cost in the USA? Where can sell one unboxed/unopened Nintendo 64 Funtastic Smoke / Clear Black Console? Thank you.
were is the white console, was sold around 1999 in german InterToys shops.
I didn't read through all the comments but one of our local collectors here in town has a white 64 majora's mask special edition. I have never seen that one until recently last year.
WHAT
i had a jesco n64, and the other day i found it in the garage under a bunch of boxes, we moved to this house in 2006 and that jesco n64 has been out there for 9 years, it still works perfect and is in mint condition, and i have the box, no shrink wrap tho and the box is kinda beat up, but its nice
Well done review and guide.
#Awesome
I always wanted the Atomic Purple N64 just to go along with the Atomic purple controller i bought at the pawn shop. I also wanted the Gold N64 console because it looks so cool and as a anime fan, I wanted that Pikachu N64 console.
I'm sure the rarity of these N64 consoles make the prices pretty steep.
I have the original charcoal console with three grey controllers and a solid red controller
i have a glow in the dark transparent n64
when i look online everything seems to be double the price you say it is will it be cheaper to buy at a fleamarket or tagsale
I paid $520 Australian Dollars for a never been opened Pikachu ToysRUs set on eBay. It was actually the cheapest listing for a mint boxed console in a long time. Most people are asking for a grand now... It's crazy.
i have an n64 pikachu :) i still play zelda a lot on it best game ever made
As and Australian I would give the pokemon n64 a rarity of 4. as I have seen a good few of them
Jordan Davies cool!

That is a good deal, for sure!
It’s usually loose consoles if anything cause so many people tossed the original boxes!
I found the fire orange with all the cords and two controllers at 25$ at a thrift shop and I didn't buy it... :(
I have both the Charcoal Black and Ice Blue N64 consoles, if I was to collect more colours, my next one on the list would be the Jungle Green or Watermelon Red (despite living in Australia, I'd use a region free cartridge for the WR).
Also the Charcoal Black I got off eBay for $70-80 and as for the Ice Blue $200.
I just read about a Nintendo 64 Karstadt Edition (it's a starry blue console), I think it's a german store exclusive, but couldn't find any aditional info... Do you know something?
