This really got to me ngl, I know that feeling too well. Sparring the old lions in my gym, winning the round isn't even a seemingly achievable endgame. Trying not to get a beat down, not to eat shots, evade the in-coming hailstorm.
But man, when that round buzzer sounds, that feeling is like a fucking drug. But it's not the thrill of survival, it's the thrill is feeling alive, looking the storm in the face and taking everything it dished out

    • @louistracy6964
      @louistracy6964 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

So go fishing on a boat, where the hailstorms don't brain damage you. i love boxing, god help me, but there are plenty of good highs. The survival and the being alive you talk about are the same thing, If you box and get hit regularly, you are most likely to be damaged deeply. Highs are out there, maybe less intoxicating, but still good, no drugs.

It’s not that simple.. he’s talking survival, fear on different complex levels. It’s a reaction in the moment. If anything he’s talking about the domesticated individual. A wild animal will fight to the death

No he is taking about REAL tough guys vs fake tough guys ….. we will never know if we real tough of just a little tough . Only a tough situation like he explains will bring that out

Ken: "They look like they're another species!" 😂😂 You sound like an African safari scientist. 😂😊 I do hope Teddy will elaborate later on this stuff. Like Tyson had a lot of anger as a kid. How did you teach him to control it in the ring? Seems to me most people would get pretty pissed about getting hit and others might fold up or whatever. If one student is an undisciplined wolverine emotionally and another is a nervous rabbit, how do you turn it around in their heads?

Atlas likes to call these unspoken agreements. There's a point where you have to go all in for the win, but it comes at the risk of getting KO'd. Is someone willing to accept that..or do they back down rather than face that confrontation

    • @Omar-if1cu
      @Omar-if1cu 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

ny_kia31 wow been a long time since iv heard anyone mention about the unspoken agreements.... first time i heard it was years ago when teddy mentioned it while commentating for a fight, he mentioned it when he saw two fighters taking a very slow paced fight on the inside with some clinching involved he said they were “taking a silent agreement” the fighters obviously didnt speak about it and it was unplanned but they both just agreed to take the round off from all the action and take an easy round

That’s a good point Teddy is raising.
I got something out of it.
Are we surviving or winning and sometimes it’s not until we are asked the question, Are we surviving or winning that we know we need to get into that winning mode.
Everybody wants to be a winner.
    That’s a no brainer. Right?
But let me ask you a question?
Do you have more chance of winning if you’re hanging out with winners or losers?
    That’s another no brainer. Right?
    Obviously the answer is, winners.
Then OK think about this one.
Is God a winner or a loser?
    Another no brainer.
The reason why He is the winner of winners is because He can’t be beat.
    Who can beat God?
    Nobody. Right?
In the Bible it says in Romans 8:31
If God be for us who can be against us.
    What does that mean ???
Yes people can be against us but what are they compared to God?
    They are nothing.
Ok, so this is 7 things.
    1. If you’re on God’s side, then He’s on your side. Right?
    2. But you need to know your strength in God.
    3. You need to realise that because you’ve joined forces with God you have the force of God on your side.
    4. And knowing this will make you believe more that you’re going to win.
    5. Also in actuality if you’re on board with God then hey whether you realise it or not it’s happening for you.
    6. God has a blessing for us provided we don’t tell Him to drop dead by saying He ain’t there.
    7. You wanna win. It’s easy peasy. Join the winner of winners. Believe me that’s gonna help you big time.
Winners hang out with winners. That’s why Teddy is with his right hand man.
    They’re a good team.

That's right! God says that we are more than conquerors....God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and discipline...I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me....God says have I not commanded you to be strong be courageous, do not be afraid, do not be dismayed, for wherever you go I am there with you! These are words I live by because I have VICTORY in Christ Jesus!!

So true about today's teachers. It's shameful the way they are treated and the fear of saying the "wrong" word or "wrong" phrase which results in some little victim being "triggered". As Teddy stated, "Shameful, shameful!"
