A great band that knew how to capture the air of times and mix styles and techniques to create its own universe. The only thing missing is the two ambient albums on vinyl to complete the discography. Thanks to you The Young Gods, for your always so penetrating atmospheres. Your music is a real internal and cerebral massage for all rock and electronic music lovers.

the Young gods have constantly evolved their sound its one of their strengths to avoid "sameness". Sure the style may not suit you but its still excellent.
Come back in 10 years, you'll have changed your mind. You'll then understand what avant-garde really means.
@@bbiwyou nah. They've lost their key member, and the driving force with this line up. Calling this "avant garde" is really clutching at straws. You have to understand I've been listening to the likes of cardiacs and Pere Ubu for the past 25+ years.
This is a watered down pale imitation of their former years.

I guess it's only natural. They are also getting old.
Underworld (The band) are just the same. They lack raw energy.
these guys are not in their twenties or thirties anymore they let their music age with them. sure it sometimes sounds too mellow but i rather prefer old songs in mellowed but listenable versions than them being parodies of themselves like guys in the style of ted nugent, mick jagger or steven tyler.
