I'm also reminded about the amount of time it took folks to catch on about Ponder, too. The card was seriously underplayed in quite a few formats for a while after it was printed, and it didn't feel like people really caught onto exactly *how* good it was if you could reliably spend U in your deck until it was reprinted and started seeing tons of standard Delver play. Like it wasnt that no one played it, but there was a period where the vast majority of folks seemed to view it as *just* a combo or threshold card.
0:42 "PS: Splashing X+1 colors basically free has been one of my personal flags for identifying a Magic player that has no idea what they're talking about, and the savage vindication of you gents talking about that a few episodes ago was delicious for me personally." 🤷♂️ idk, but I'm clueless
Gitaxian Probe looks like one of those custommagic cards where the creator clearly doesn't understand why cards cost as much as they do
Spell piercing a Minsc and boo sounds like a wonderful experience

What was that about splashing x+1 colors? He was reading so fast I couldn’t understand him.
They're saying that the idea from some players "splashing one or more colors is basically free" is very wrong.

Net decking combined with an unwillingness to tinker is the main culprit on Arena, in my estimation.
