    Frank used to have a shop in altrincham in the early 90s, I worked round the corner but spent most of my time in the shop chatting. He never kept secrets and would give loads of advice freely. Always helpful and always had a story to tell. He was always genuinely pleased for you if you had caught. He would tell you stuff and made you think more your fishing, location presentation etc. A proper nice bloke and was always welcoming, always had time to help others.

    Great video Total Carp , Frank back to basics has paid off again . As always a great watch with Frank explaining everything to the masses without hidden tweaks .
    When you're pulling your hair out with which wafter/pop up , flavour/colour , using a simple tipped bottom bait can be enough to be a game changer , just that slight tiny difference to what they are troughing on with gusto can bring rapid rewards .
    Love to see the Tinca's carp anglers catch too , as I'm sure some monsters have been put back without a second thought. Well done Frank. Tight Lines for 2023 fella ...

    Remember chatting to Frank, way back about ph levels, when I was using Nash Whiskey bait, was a good example of ph making a big difference,wonder why bait companies drop certain flavours! Always a thought provoking watch,Frank, keep it going 👍🎣

    Always enjoy listening to frank. But i believe every method, rig & quality bait will work. Every line, hooklink, hooks ect ect ect will catch you carp. Bottom baits, wafters, pop ups, zigs will all catch you carp. I could go on & on. I believe the biggest edge in carp fishing especially on pressured venues is doing something totally opposite to what the majority are doing. Which these days is hi vis pop ups on a ronnie, so frank is bang on with a match the hatch bottom bait👍

    Just went and got some 5 and 6 oz leads. Great tip makes allot of sense when you think about it. Gonna go test and see if it will land more carp.

    You do realise i try things out of the norm to see how it fares.
    I would be a bit boring if everyone used the Ronnie rig and spombed constantly

    • @jeffmowbray5987
      @jeffmowbray5987 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Frank, this is a random question but when you had your bait factory at lymm, did you ever try fishing for the carp in the bridgey behind?
      I've heard that stretch around there is good for carp.

    • @frankwarwick8068
      @frankwarwick8068 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jeffmowbray5987 yes it was desperately slow mate the lads used to pre bait the stretch directly behind the unit and it was very poor
      But it was not long after the big fish kill the Bridgewater canal suffered.

      Not always the case, the lad who had a fair few fish a few swims down was fishing solid bags and he had a large amount of fish on him. The fish moved out from Frank's swim early on. there were plenty of anglers who didn't even get a bite.

      My main priority was to see Tony and Lynn people i love we go back a long way.
      I was 3rd in the que at the gate big crowd behind but i wanted to see my friends in the mean time all of the going swims were bucketed.
      I walked around a good hour later and had what was left.
      I don’t have swims saved or any spacial privileges its bull shit.
      I could easily have used a Ronnie rig, solid bag, spombed and used a bait boat like many do but i thought it might make interesting viewing showing other ways to catch them.
      Thanks hen i get key board warriors having a go .
      My reply lets see your CV and show us how its done !!!
