@@vxsios The thing is, that's not something that's supposed to be vague or left to interpretation. The wording is weirdly confusing (as is the timing with the phone reveal, way more confusing than in the manga actually) but we're supposed to know 100% that Hisoka is not an examiner at that point. This isn't some clever misdirection we should let them figure out, it's a mistake either in translation or writing on the anime's part.

hunter x hunter is an anime that takes a while to warm up to, there are slow parts here and there, but its definitely worth to watch all the way through. Highly encourage yall to finish!
HxH is an amazing story, well written characters and developments, crazy universe, and one of the best if not THE best power system ever (you'll see once you get to that part of the story) .. I can't wait for you guys to really get to the good parts/arcs

Her point wasn't whether or not they could cook. Her point was innovation and creativity and everyone literally just decorated their shit not really trying. You could've search for berries in the area, natural seasoning or leafs for flavor or something but nope....just cook it whole with some flowers over it or make it look appealing on the outside but have it literally be the same just with fruit in between it. She literally says this in the episode as well.
Yeah, regardless of what kind of Hunter you are and want to become, you can't limit yourself like that. That was her entire point.

this show can very well arguably be the best long series anime of all time, this anime is always above Attack on Titan on ''best animes of all time'' lists, and thats saying something, because we all know how great AOT is, its an incredibly well written elite manga, which Madhouse took and made an anime out of. A story like this with Madhouse animating was an absolute home run. just like in one punch man there are amazing animated fight scenes in HXH. the guy who wrote this entire story and drew the manga himself is brilliant. In Naruto they had chakra, one piece got devil fruits/haki, dbz got ki and aura etc. Bleach has reiatsu, and while all those are sick concepts just wait till you see how HunterXHunter does it...its really ingenious and distinct from all other anime, you guys are in for a great one, your gonna enjoy the shit out of it
Its definitely the best long running shounen anime and top5 of all time IMO
EVERYONE respects Nen even outside the manga anime circle. I’ve seen people into fantasy literature rating Nen as the best magic system so honestly it’s top tier among ALL fiction which is just…damn

Menchi didn't make the test harder. They did not follow the easy ass guidelines to actually try to cook. Not just char the damn meat. No one made an effort in the correct way and completely missed the point. So they all failed. She was within her rights to fail everyone. They had ingredients to use and they refused to use them.
I really think if someone tried to add flavor to the meat, she would have passed that person. She was considering passing Kurapika, he just didn't add flavor to the meat.
