Somewhere in the microscopic prints states that you need to have 20/20 vision to perform this procedure. My god! this was harder than replacing coil packs on a BMW!
that screw that holds the battery clasp down ... any idea what size it is? I have similar Movado movement and lost that damn screw. I think (?) it's an M1, with length 2mm but can't confirm anywhere ... Thanks for any help you can provide
This is the worst advice, but there are same size screws on around the battery area which you can carefully remove and use to tighten the fork on top of the battery.
Can I just make a suggestion when taking out the battery especially it's important to use ceramic tweezers or even wood bamboo tweezers or plastic but metal tweezers you run the risk of shorting out the circuit.

Why is the second hand not moving after the battery swap?

.6 mm worked for me
Did you ever figure out a replacement screw? I tried a few, today a M1 and it still was too large
Same! Mine has the wishbone clamp and as soon as I loosened it up, the clamp basically popped out the screw
what size is the screw that hold the negative plate down on the battery. I dropped mine and have been unable to find it.
It would be extremely hard to say what size but a screw assortment kit would definitely help sort the problem. Thanks
@@watchbatteryguy7421 Thank you, that's what I did, I ordered an assortment of screws from Amazon.
Hello, what model of movement is ?
I bought a movado but it isnt working.. do you think a new mavdo would have a dead battery ? Or do a return?
I have seen that happen, lots of time the watch has a dead battery. Either way return it because you paid for a working watch.
Appreciate the response

I agree with you, excellent point
