I struggled with endometriosis back in the late 60's and early 70's when the only option was a hysterectomy. Since I was in my late teens when the symptoms really started effecting my life and how I functioned day to day, making the decision to have such a life altering surgery took me a few years of pain and suffering before making the decision to have the surgery. I had to adjust to being unable to have a child in an era of Ozzie and Harriet! I wasn't lucky enough to have the support of such a great man walk with me and encourage me. You are a blessed woman!
How does one get diagnosed with endometriosis? I think my daughter may have it (she's exhibiting symptoms) but I've read that the only way to know for sure is through surgery. She just had two ultrasounds done and we're hoping to find something out when those results are read by her Dr.
I'm very sorry to hear your story. For some women, going on a VERY low fat plant based diet dramatically helps endometriosis because it naturally lowers their probably too high estrogen level down. It is too much estrogen that usually triggers endo.
Nice that you shouted out the local artists! Love the house, especially the vintage TV unit thing in the kitchen it's so clever!! The bedroom is also fantastic, getting the bed made specially for the home was a great idea as it really has the impact you wanted, and the little shelves by the bed are just perfect - you don't need anything huge! You used a lot of clever ideas that are accessible to everyone and not tiny house specific which was really cool to hear about. I love this for you guys, you seem like a lovely couple - sending you lots of love and health!
Very very nice. 99.9% of tiny homes are basically just large kitchens with beds. I love the statement pieces you have found to make up the kitchen. Very well done.
Que raro, nunca había visto una cocina sin estufa? ,🤔 me pregunto dónde o en que prepara la comida. Una cocina sin estufa, no es cocina. No está mal diseñada.
@@nallesanchez1681 did ya listen to the video? They were NOT allowed to install anything except a kitchenette, which means no over, stove or dishwasher usually, buy you can easily do a hot plate, electric kettle, etc. Zoning laws come first unless you want them showing up and fining you along with being forced to remove prohibited items. I'm sure if she could've she would have liked to have a small one.
@@nallesanchez1681 Obviously the have an induction hob and a small portable oven. She was just not going through every single item in the kitchen. I live in an apartment that has a kitchen but I only have an induction cooker and small oven and they work exactly the same as the built in ones, only they don't take up any space when not in use.
So agree.. I know they couldn't put in a proper kitchen, but a huge kitchen isn't necessary anyway, even if you love to cook.. I love cooking from scratch, but having lived in 15 appartements (in Europe) and back-packed all over the world (but still cooked my meals daily).. I realized you don't need a huge kitchen (or masses of gadgets), just a well thought out kitchen with the basics.. So I would go for a small kitchen in a tiny home.. This is a great idea making it a "stealth kitchen." that TV cupboard is a great idea.. And if built out with shelved/pull outs would be great for food storage... They haven't done much due to it being a B&B I guess. The fridge was empty to. An induction hot plate, microwave oven, electric grill does the job.
Really loved the space, well done. you can tell she is a Designer, she has great personal taste and the space is creative and beautiful without feeling cluttered! Also kudos to the supportive man!
It's beautiful, I love the use of repurposed furniture and the bedroom. Also like that there is a bathtub instead of just a shower. Gorgeous. Old Town is a lovely area of Albuquerque.
Fantastic and thanks for talking about your emdometriosis, as well. I can relate. The highlight for me was the antique black chest of drawers you used for the kitchen counter... STUNNING!
Very clever to put your bathroom in front of the two metal doors. Great planning. I love the colour of your container, it’s so different from all the others I’ve seen online. That buttery colour makes it look more homey & less industrial. And your use of pieces of furniture as cupboard space & counter space/ storage really helps the inside to feel more like a proper home. What a great job! I hope your health will improve. I’ll say a prayer. 🙏🥰
You would never know it's a container home just by looking at the inside!! So pretty & light & bright!! Lovely couple!! The husband was so supportive of his wife!! Made my ❤️ smile ☺️
I especially agree with the owner on keeping lines sleek and LOVE how there aren't wires hanging all around the tv, router, etc. Its looks so clean and you can tell she gave a lot of thought to the details. One of the most grand "tiny cottages" that I saw elsewhere on the east coast was AMAZING but had wires hanging all over the place which was unfortunate considering it was easily a 200k unit (saw on air B&B.) I always said this would be a dream job to host others and get to be creative. Well done! 😃
I love your place I thank God that when the time comes and you have your surgery that you're back on your feet and do all the beautiful things you want to do in life, your husband is great for you please support God bless you both
VERY NICE JOB. LOVE THE WAY YOUR HUSBAND SUPPORT YOUR DREAM. BEAUTIFUL COUPLE. PRAYING YOU GET MUCH BETTER SOON. YOU HAVE THE SUPPORT YOU WILL NEED FOR YOUR SURGERY.
Smart way to go these containers are so durable. Very nice set up. And such a lovely couple. Would be so fun to stay overnight and so close to Route 66 fun!
Tiny House Giant Journey, great design and use of space made this feel livable and not cramped. Supportive hubby 💖. This sounds like a good consultancy side hustle to assist people in getting containers and navigate the process. Especially nonprofits. And the ability to work at your own pace.
Yay! Finally, an episode in my hometown! There's so many neat properties that have just a little Adobe Casita on them, especially through the valley, which this couple is in. I'm trying to find tiny house resources here, my searches just lead me to the shelters for homeless, I'm sure everyone has seen the concept.
I have lived in Albuquerque twice, and am now in Santa Fe. This is a GREAT container home! I want to steal the retro refrigerator. Ha! It seems odd that ABQ's rules didn't permit a full kitchen. I'm glad to see folks in New Mexico are looking at other options for homes.
I LOVE that there's a tub! Wow! & such a decent size one too. But no oven/stove? & No closet? Good for air bnb rental for visitors that eat out all the time & only have a suitcase. But I do love that long cabinet for the kitchen. Beautiful.

The only way to officially be diagnosed with endometriosis is through a laparoscopic surgery.
I'm very sorry to hear your story. For some women, going on a VERY low fat plant based diet dramatically helps endometriosis because it naturally lowers their probably too high estrogen level down. It is too much estrogen that usually triggers endo.
What a lovely man, he so supportive of her. I really like her style and taste in art, it's a lovely home.
This is one of the nicest, most spacious container homes I've seen. Congratulations on your lovely home.
